My garden patio had sunk. 1/3 was under water with every rain. Adam and his team pulled the stones, raised the bed and relaid the stone with a border. Voila. We have our beautiful garden back. Rain? We've had a lot since the job was done. Almost perfect. Adam will be back to take care of the last little bit later this week. I'll add the pic of my patio when the darn rain stops.

I have had 3 different electricians examine this problem. I've paid them each for a service call which resulted in the outlet remaining problematic. Hotwire guys took fifteen minutes to diagnose and repair the problem outlet. I was satisfied with their work and would certainly call them again.

Sebastian and his lads did a good job on the upstairs floors and they did okay on the stairs. It was a huge job but it looks great and was with the price paid. I was disappointed at how quickly the job of removing squeaks on floors and stairs went from "oh, they will mostly disappear" to "well, the squeaks don't come from the top layer anyway"... I would have paid more to have the noisy floor repaired; it was half the reason I did the job. Anyway, they did a very good job on the refinishing. No complaints.

Thanks Joseph for taking the time to prepare a detailed review. It was a pleasure for both Sebastian, the crew and myself to work with you. In regards to the squeaking I apologize if not explained properly from the beginning as proper communication is a pet peeve of mine. Removing floor squeaks is definitely a difficult thing to guarantee especially when refinishing as its difficult to predict where the source of the squeaking is from. We have a partner company we work with that specializes only in removing squeaks from floors and stairs. If interested I can pass their info along. Anyways, thanks again and please keep us in mind for another future project and let your friends and family know if they are looking to update there hardwood floors and/or stairs. Thanks again.

They did the work right away and properly. I had them come back to perform preventative maintenance on my gas appliances. The guys came to do the work, and the owner showed up to make sure all was in good order.

McKinnon examined my furnace during the period of my 'Energy Audit' with a mind to replacement of the boiler. 'Nothing wrong here!' they said. No need for any new furnace. Fast forward a few months, once the energy audit timeline was over. McKinnon's guys come to clean my furnace. They clean it, and red tag it. (i.e. need a new furnace). Now there is no compensation from the audit plan, and Mr. Napalm says he has no responsibility. He offers me a very poor choice high efficiency (which competitors won't even SELL) and offers to write it up as a purchase for my other home, thereby saving me tax. (!) He also promised to give me the fees for cleaning back, but they never materialized on the estimate. Avoid this man and this company unless you want trouble. Nothing he said was true from the start to the finish. And this, after having done business with them for 20 years!

I understand Joseph's frustration. We will never try to sell our clients new equipment when their equipment is functioning and in good working order. In this circumstance, the client obviously wanted to purchase a new boiler under the Ecoenergy program and due to our honesty "missed the opportunity". Obviously, we would never stop a client from purchasing new equipment but will always provide an honest, ethical opinion. It is always the client's choice to purchase new equipment and there will never be any aggressive sales tactics from Mckinnon Heating Cooling. Joseph's review supports this fact.
