This was the 2nd time we hired Versatile to renovate a bathroom and we continue to highly recommend them a year after the job. Herb and his team are top-notch professionals, friendly, courteous, and above all have a lot of integrity and take pride in doing the job right. They quickly came back to fix a defective part even though it was on a plumbing fixture that I had purchased and they had installed. Herb provides great advice and worked with us to make sure the bathroom was customized to our needs. Highly recommend.

Their work is top quality, they are very responsive, and they truly care about their craft. But what really sets them apart from other bathroom contractors is their quoting process. I really like how their quote is for the labour, waterproofing system, and smaller items and they have the customer purchase the tile and fixtures by themselves (with a lot of recommendations and guidance from Herb or Trista). This was much better than the quote we received from others that included fixtures and tile and everything because we would have had less control over the quality/price of the materials and no idea whether the contractor's markup was reasonable. The way Versatile does it, we were in much better control of our budget and we were able to shop for the exact sink, taps, shower fixtures, glass, and tiles that we wanted and got to take advantage of their contractor pricing at their preferred suppliers (who were also great to work with). Mark did an excellent job on the installation and was also super nice. He was onsite every day until the job was done that week (unlike some contractors who start and stop jobs depending on their own schedule). A great team!

I've tried several Calgary duct cleaning companies and Keith is now my furnace guy :) Pricing is similar to the cheapest ones I've used but I got far more value from Keith's work. He is clearly super knowledgeable about HVAC and how to do everything properly without taking shortcuts in the cleaning. He fixed up lots of little issues that previous duct cleaners and HVAC maintenance had neglected. No extra charges for this and no upselling. Very good communication before the appointment. Great to find someone so diligent with his trade.

Replaced double garden doors with a stylish ply-gem sliding door. The quotes we received from other local firms were just as friendly and professional, but the others had a limited product line that wouldn't fit without making compromises. Maxgreen went out of their way to find something that would fit even while we changed our minds and downsized our project. Great sales and installation experience. Very happy with the quality of our door too.

Our lawns had not been treated in a few years so had lots of weeds and hard, thin patches, especially in the shade of a fir tree. Didn't know what it needed, so owner came out within a few days and recommended aeration, liming around the fir tree needles, and their own organic fertilizer. Have only had one treatment so far, but it already is much more lush and weed resistant even under the fir tree, which I'm surprised to see. I did put down some new seed after the treatment and that helped too. Very friendly service.

After receiving one quote from a competitor on Homestars who inexplicably suggested removing most of my trees (with no explanation) and after giving up waiting on some other quotes (all with good Homestars reviews), I was really happy to get Aspen's handwritten proposal explaining what was and wasn't needed for my 10 trees. The owner even sketched the location of all the trees, which was helpful for me to know what he was talking about. Even in a busy season, they managed to find some extra time to fit my job in earlier than planned. The crew that came was very polite and professional and seemed to do excellent work and even chipped and took away a large pile of extra brush and limbs I had collected. I was very impressed at the pricing, service, communication, knowledge, professionalism, and promptness and would highly recommend this business. Apparently, it is insulting to compliment arborists on how tidy they leave a site, so I won't, but it was pretty much the opposite of how an electrician would leave it, if you need a hint.

Very pleased with the prompt reply to my email request for a quote. Friendly and knowledgeable. Showed up right on time with very friendly and personable service. They seem well experienced and the insulation product they use looks very good. Didn't try to upsell on things we didn't need and it looks like they put in more than enough loose insulation. Price was very reasonable and a bit lower than other quotes. Seem to be trustworthy and hard working contractors.

Definitely one of the best home improvement contractors we have dealt with. Workmanship and materials were top-notch and the pricing was very fair. Chris and crew responded promptly and worked hard through the job to make sure we were completely happy about everything. They know their stuff and made some great suggestions, but never tried to upsell us on anything. Would definitely use them again.

We've used Leaside twice and their service is very prompt and professional. The pricing seems on the higher side, but we have not had a flood or fireball yet, so I guess it makes sense to pay for their level of dependability and reliability.

Quoting, answering the phone, and finishing the work was all done very promptly. Workmanship was top quality and pricing was great considering it was a difficult site to access. John made sure we were happy with the work and was very accommodating with adjustments to get it all done the way we wanted.

They are a solid local company. The sales rep promptly met with us at our home and discussed a range of options with no pressure or upselling. His recommendation for a low clearance unit turned out great due to the position of the furnace and our neighbours. Very knowledgeable and professional. The installation and products were well solid.

Great work and communication. During a busy rainy time we had a hard time getting any other roofers to return calls or get interested in a repair job, but Arthur responded promptly. Then our fussy neighbour demanded to meet with Arthur before the repairs, which he handled very well. I suspect lesser contractors would have just abandoned us, so kudos to Arthur and crew. And of course the work seemed top-notch and very trustworthy.

I've used Ben once for rubbish removal and another time to rent one of his stylish bins. His service is attentive and pricing for rubbish removal hard to beat. Called him on a Sunday and he and his son were over in a flash. I was planning on loading his truck with my old insulation that I'd removed, but he and his son jumped right in to help. Also rented a bin for construction debris another time and the bin showed up promptly with a very good driver to set the bin in a tight spot. Bin was a day or two late in being picked up, but I've had that happen with other rentals if they are busy. Highly recommended for eastern Toronto.

This is the second house we've had the crew do our roof on. The crew is skilled and efficient and we've had no problems several years later. Top quality materials and labour. The quoting process was painless and informative and the price was great. We didn't even bother with a competitive quote as this was our second roof with them and we know there pricing is great. The estimator and office staff are very good at customer service the crew were always happy to get the head contractor to call if they couldn't answer my questions at the site.

Luc hired a very competent subcontractor company and we were very pleased with their work. I'm not sure what extra value we were paying hiring Luc as a roofing contractor, other than he deserves a finder's fee I guess as he can help you avoid the poor quality roofers. But as a contractor, he was friendly enough as long as I didn't raise any questions, but seemed to get insulted when I had any questions on his decisions or pricing. Things went more smoothly just dealing directly with the subcontractor so I hired them directly the next time I needed roofing work.
