I am truly confused by the amazing reviews on this company. The service I received was not at all what I read in all the reviews before I decided to choose them as my moving company. The employees they sent did not appear to have much experience moving furniture, nor did they work efficiently in regards to using their time appropriately. On multiple occasions throughout the day (my max 6 hour move took 10 hours) we observed them standing around and one of the three always appeared to be doing nothing while the other two worked (this happened in a rotating fashion). My husband had to step in several times to encourage the movers to pick items up and actually put them in the moving truck. My husband even ended up fully coaching the workers through the entire move-in process (I.e. telling them to grab items and bring them in, teaching them how to move bulkier furniture, teaching them how to place items in way that would still allow space to continue working in). It was ridiculous and yet, there’s more. As they brought items inside I was to show them what rooms certain things went to; however, multiple items they just placed wherever they felt, leaving me to have to continue moving boxes and furniture to different places of the house after the fact. Let me not forget to mention how they packed the truck. Initially they were doing a good job of using the space wisely. But after half the truck was packed, then began to pack items loosely and in awkward places which left at least 15% of the packable space misused. This then lead to them telling us that there was no space for our few remaining items and they would need to make a second trip (the distance to the new house is 30 minutes, meaning an extra 1.5 hours of travel time for just a few items. On top of that, they took much longer to travel to and from, my husband went with them to pick up the second load and instead of staying with him on the highway they got off at a different exit taking even longer to get to the house. Not to mention they arrived at 9:15 am when schedule for 10am throwing off our time line. And when we addressed our concerns early on during the moving process the “manager” of the group informed us it was his “first day” and explained that he couldn’t give us much feedback/information due to this. Before leaving the old house, I did a check and noted a mirror and a tv they failed to take to the truck. Fast forward to the move being completed and I have items missing, even parts for my sons bunk bed that now leaves it unsafe for him to sleep in because it can’t be properly built. I did contact customer support after the fact and the lady was apologetic and reassuring and informed me she would speak with management and get back to me, but I’m still waiting to hear back. They wanted me to pay via etransfer, which I wasn’t informed of beforehand. When I did etransfer it the finance department was able to follow up with me instantly and called me back when it didn’t come through within less than ten minutes. They initially told me they didn’t think I could get a receipt but did end up sending me one in the end. I will be contacting them diligently to get some money back because I feel complete taken advantage of and mistreated. These full star reviews are unbelievable to me now. I will never use this company again and will never recommend them to anyone. I will be leaving my review on multiple sites to get the message out. It’s not fair to pay for a service and not receive adequate treatment.
