10/10

Still waiting to get my invoice by cant wait to give a 10/10 review! Steven and his teammates were extremely professional + knowledgeable + helpful in identifying the needs. They came by on the date when I submitted my request and was able to provide a quote on the spot. They even suggested us to do our homework and check out other providers before making the decision. We have old oak trees in the area and the person would have to climb to the top to do the job. We also had providers who refused to give a quote as they were scared of the height/risks. Community tree service was the right team to do the right work. They will be my go to tree service provider in their future. Highly recommended!!!

The owner of the corporation always underestimates the time needed for the construction and whenever there is an issue, he disappears and give no response. We signed contract in 2020 April and paid Un-refundable 10% for deposit. In 2021 March, we paid deposit for building permit but Justin gave no update about permit was approved until we found out by calling the city in May. The project didn't start until the end of August 2021. We paid extra 40% as the equipments were on site. Upon the first week of construction, city inspector came by and asked for soil engineer to verify the base. Justin told us that the inspector was not professional and he had to argue with the city. Obviously the argument was not accept Ed by the city. We said it's okay, we just want the project to be done so we can pay extra for hiring a soil engineer. Justin simply told us that he can't find one available at the time and all technicians are fully booked which we can only make appointment 6 or 7 months later. That's fine. We found a soil engineer who is willing to accept the task but Justin simply stopped responding to calls / messages / emails. The work paused for almost 2 months and we had to seek for legal support to send him a demand letter. In the demand letter, we stated that we will pay the job in full once the job is done and gets approved by the city. Finally he came back and restarted to do the construction in collaboration with the soil engineer by November. Our soil engineer was picky about the site condition as it didn't meet the requirements on the drawing. To expedite the process, soil engineer requested for concrete lean mix with a higher strength to be filled for base. We promised to pay off that extra cost for the concrete. However, it turned out that Justin used a weaker concrete U fill and for the first delivery, he didn't provide us the receipt. And until everything poured in, receipt from from the truck driver indicates that the concrete did not meet qualification. We forgives the mistake and tried to proceed as low strength concrete is still stronger than dirt (we still paid for that cost $3000). But due to the previous error, soil engineer was being extra careful on everything. The project paused as winter is approaching. So far, we still had hope that the things could work out with Justin. In 2022 April, finally construction restarted. As mentioned before, soil engineer was being extra careful on everything to it might be a bit frustrated. Engineer sent out email record for every visit and ask for proper adjustment based on drawing. You know what, Justin's team stopped showing up again and saying the soil engineer was verbally assaulting his buddies last Wednesday morning in an email. We said fine, if you are not satisfied with that soil engineer and if you are able to find a qualified person to take over the role, we are cool with that. Obviously he coudn't find one. On last Thursday we called in and asked and offered another option that soil engineer comes in after they finish the work everyday and provides comments without them on site through email. Justin agreed to it and we arranged Monday to Friday work for this week and an arrangement email was sent on last Thursday. Monday was supposed to be rainy so the schedule was delayed until Tuesday. We received no response from Justin through out the weekend. No one showed up this week until now (Thursday). Tried to call, text and email. Nothing worked. I lost my front door entrance since last August and I cannot bear with that anymore. This contractor cannot comply to his promise and doesn't want to do the job in a right way. I am now going to pursue legal action on this business and will find another qualified contractor to complete the job. Everything stated above is true about the business. I will update my review as the thing progresses.
