Wanted to by a TV for pickup, but when we got the confirmation it stated delivery Emailed Bad Boy and was told it would be 48 business hours before order processed. That would mean we missed a Birthday gift today. Just received an email that said the order is ready and we will pick it up today. Why the extra hassle?

It was the snow storm of the year and we had arranged previously to move from a 3+1 Bedroom Scarborough bungalow to a 2 bedroom apartment in Etobicoke. Did I mention that it was the storm of the year/last few years? The men were a little late in getting to us due to the sloppy roads and that would be the story of the day. They arrived about 2 hours late, but with a sense of humour about them. Good thing as we had one as well. We were not sure if the move would be happening that day at all, but they promised to show up and they did. It snowed all day and that caused some slow loading due to the ramp getting snow covered. But they kept going, just like the Energizer bunnies. My wife left earlier to meet the Cable installers for an appointment between 2 and 5 that day. Ya right! Did I mention that it was the storm of the year/recent years? We managed to get everything into the truck by around 4 pm and off we went. I started first and could not get an entrance to the 401. I tried at McCowan, Brimley, Kennedy, Warden and I finally found Vic Park open. It seemed that the Snow Plows plugged all the on/off ramps with a snow bank about 4 feet high, so no one could get on. I finally got on and it was smooth sailing as there were very few other cars on the highway as they could not get on either. I figured the truck would be having the same issues as I did, but they told me they finally got on and I met them at the apartment. Unloading the truck was a bit longer than expected for the same reason that loading was. The ramp was slippery! And the elevator was much smaller than I remember. Everything finally made it into the apartment around 9:00pm which made a very long day. However, after talking to Linda at the office they knocked an hour off the time due to the weather. The whole move cost us $800.00! I priced other movers prior to choosing Earth Star Movers and got quoted well over $1,000.00. I am totally pleased with the service and the company as a whole, and if I ever have to move again - in warmer weather - I will choose Earth Star Movers again. I heartily recommend this company to anyone who wants a professional and competent group of people. We had absolutely no damage to anything at all even given the weather conditions.
