Joe was amazing to work with. He was extremely proactive and well knowledgeable regarding our questions with raccoons. We had a raccoon make a home in our attic after hearing about it from a neighbor. Joe came over at the time he said he would and was very knowledgeable on the activities of the raccoons, confirming this was not the time of babies (November month), and advised how to humanely get them to relocate while protecting the house from any possible future issues. Joe spent an entire day (our roof had many ledges) and patiently installed a wire mesh to raccoons (or squirrels) could chew at areas they could reach and make a hole for them to enter the house. He installed a trap door (one way direction) over the entry point of the raccoon such that when it left for the evening, he could not get back in due to the door arrangement. Joe even helped out with installing some bird screens along with the raccoon wire mesh. We were super happy with Joe.... he was very fair over rates and did what he said he would do in a safe and professional manner. Our highest recommendation!

Company Response

Thank you for your review of my work. I remember it well, and recommended a whole house screening as evidenced by what was going on
on the street. Clearly we were dealing with a prolific gang of raccoons by just looking at the damage to nearby houses. The issue is based on access to the vulnerable areas and once the home is secured the problem moves elsewhere. Every corner and location was systematically shut down to these fury rascals. I've seen determined raccoons gain access to a home over and over again and it's just not worth the time, aggravation or expense.
Many years ago when I was getting started in the business I was called to a home to deal with some nuisance raccoons that had ripped open a roof vent and gained access into this gentlemen's home. Having conducted an inspection and advising him that the roof was both weak and compromiised he subsequently opted to simply ignore the issue. Around two months later I received a call by the same gentleman about the raccoons. Whilst the raccoons were freely living in the attic space this fellow was called upon to attend a funeral in Florida. while he was away appears the gang of raccoons decided to rip open a hole in the upper ceiling and managed to enter his home. For two weeks the raccoons had their own mini vacation in the Cabbage town house. Not one cupboard was left hanging, all the furniture was destroyed, water taps were running and the flood continued to overflow in the sinks and bathtubs unchecked for weeks.
The damage was considerable and found to be well into the hundreds of thousands of dollars. The insurance company would not cover any of the damage because the utilities were not turned off and there was no proof that the home was checked by anyone every 2 or three days as per the fine print in the policy. The issue would never have happened had he listened to me and did the work to
deal with them effectively. He ending up solely responsible for over two hundred thousand dollars worth of damage because he was not taking these raccoons seriously. Joe
