I live in a very old house with a fireplace that presented some complications for converting to a gas insert. Riz was very knowledgeable about unforeseen issues (to me, anyway) and how to solve them. exterior excavation to replace blocked pipe
Unfortunately some gravel from a renovation found its way into our sewer line that effectively backed up our waste water. Drainworks was quick to show up and diagnose the problem with a camera inspection. At a cost of $278 this was very expensive given other companies, I've since learned, will do it for $50. they came back the next day to excavate the clogged pipe just outside our house and replace it with a new one. The workers were curteous and efficient, doing the work in less than a day. In an emergency situation, where cost is less of a priority, I would use them again. **Thanks Jon** We value your review and your input. Regarding companies that claim to perform camera inspections for $50, you do get what you pay for. Being in the business for over 20 years it is impossible to run that type of service with a qualified hourly technician with the proper insurance needed, for example, WSIB, liability, etc. The type of company that provides a $50 camera obviously cannot provide the level of service you received from DrainWorks nor do they encompass the level of experience needed to complete your repair. Also, as far as obtaining additional quotes for the excavation, DrainWorks would always be the least expensive quote as we offer 10% less on a competitors comparable quote.
Very good customer service from the first phone call to arrange for an estimate, to the actual trash removal. However, when getting an estimate for price, there's lots of room for negotiation so don't take their initial offer. their estimate was $450, but we got them down to $315 and probably could've gone lower.
