10/10

I had called a number of roofers (all with high ratings at Homestars) to look at my roofing issues but the response rate from many companies was poor. The majority did not even bother to return my call or I had to call them a second time. One exception was Greg from Crucial Roof Services who I was able to reach right away. After I explained my problem by e-mail he kept me informed as to when he could inspect my roof. Even after he couldn't make it on one particular weekend he promptly notified me. When he did have a chance to inspect my roof, he took pictures and wrote captions in an e-mail to describe what the problem areas were and provided a quote with the scope of the work required. Another roofer who inspected my roof told me that I needed major work done, basically a new roof costing $13K. Greg mentioned that my roof was in good enough shape that only minor repairs needed to be done. Based on the cost difference, it was a no-brainer to have Greg do the work. Once I told him to proceed with the work, he came the next day and finished the repairs on my torch-on membrane roof. He e-mailed me before and after pictures to illustrate the repairs that he had done and wrote short captions for each picture so that I could follow his work. He even did some extra repairs without additional cost over his initial quote. Overall, Greg was courteous and responsive to all of my questions via phone call or through e-mail. Compared to the other roofers that I contacted, Greg is certainly one who believes in providing good customer service. I would definitely hire him again to do my roof repairs.

Approximate cost of services:

Company Response

Thanks Raymond. I'm glad you found me and we were able to work together as my biggest complaint about the roofing industry is contractors who knowingly encourage work that is not needed. Hopefully you will get many more years of service out of your existing roof. Please invite me back to do a no-charge inspection on the roof in two years. Cheers
Greg
