I noticed that my hot and cold shutoff valves for my washer were starting to corrode and leak so I reviewed a couple of plumbers on Homestars and selected 2 with great reviews . It was a tossup on who to use so I flipped a coin. The first plumber I called never returned my call after 4 days so I called Stefano. He answered his phone immediately and after a brief conversation he asked me send him some photos of my valves and machine. After reviewing the photos he quoted me a price that I felt very comfortable with and we arranged an appointment for the next day. Stefano called the next day and asked if it was convenient to come a little earlier. No problem. He was polite and friendly from the start. He ended up replacing the 2 shutoff valves and hoses to the machine and put in a new box. The job was a little more difficult as the pipes were behind drywall which he had to cut. I was very pleased with the work and price and will definitely use SRK Plumbing on future jobs. Thanks Stefano!

I needed a structural engineer to provide me with advice and drawings on removing a load bearing wall and vaulting a ceiling. I sent a request out to Mohammad and received a reply within 24 hrs. (on New Years Day). We set up a site visit for the following Wednesday. Mohammad was punctual, polite and professional from the start. I was so impressed with his expertise that I retained him to include additional structural drawing for the removal and replacement of a load bearing beam and pillars in the basement and a relocation of a set of stairs leading to the basement. Within a week he sent me a draft of the drawings for my review and comment. Everything was clear and concise and upon my approval a stamped set of drawings were sent to me. I was very impressed with Mohammad's expertise, level of communication and timeliness on this matter and the pricing was very reasonable. I would highly recommend Mohammad's structural engineering services for structural drawing for building permit purposes.

I hired Alex and Eurostyle 50 to do the millwork and custom cabinetry for 2 kitchens and a laundry room in our new home. I was impressed with his new showroom, assemblyline, paintbooth and quality of materials. My partner, who is an interior designer and has a wickedly keen eye for detail, provided Alex with the drawings for the project. There were many intricate details in the millwork which made the job difficult. Eurostyle 50 came through with flying colours. The fabrication and quality of material were excellent as was the installation. Eurostyle 50 has a fantastic installation team that conducted themselves with the utmost courtesy and professionalism. We would highly recommend Alex and his company to anyone contemplating custom cabinetry and millwork.

I was looking at doing a major renovation on my downtown property and lowering the basement was on my bucket list. I contacted Paul from the Underpinners and arranged a site meeting. We clicked from the start. Paul came across as extremely knowledgeable on all aspects of underpinning a basement and construction as well. He walked me through the steps in an easy and informative way and provided me a detailed contract outlining the scope of work for the job. Seeing as this was a large and costly project, I contacted 3 other companies to get competitive quotes. Not only were the Underpinners the lowest quote, their contract outline and scope of work was far superior to the other companies and their communication skills were excellent. When Daniel and the crew came to start the job I almost mistook them for university students. They were all young, handsome and very communicative. My partner Elizabeth fell in love with them. But when it came time to work they were a well oiled machine. There were many on-site meetings with detailed explanations of the progress and what they uncovered and believe you me when you dig out a 120 year old basement you find a lot of interesting things. During their work Paul and Daniel noticed the variations in soil conditions in different areas of the basement and recommended a geotechnical engineer assess the situation. That was a very good move as the analysis recommended 2 sump pits and pumps were needed in different locations of the basement. With their knowledge of the construction industry and related trades Paul and Daniel were able to recommend a framer and electrician for my project and both choices worked out brilliantly. I would highly recommend anyone contemplating doing a basement underpin or lowering to contact The Underpinners Inc. You will be glad you did.. PS. They are experts in working with downtown properties that most other contractors try to avoid.

We met Tony Ferreira in August 2013 just after pouring our concrete floor in our basement. We talked to 3 concrete finishing companies and Tony came across as the most experienced, knowledgeable and sincere. His pricing and time lines were also spot on. Needless to say Tony did an amazing job on our basement floor. The other trades working on our project were equally impressed. Tony realized that we still had many months of construction work ahead of us and offered to come back after the trades had left to re-polish the floor at no cost to us. On May 30, 2014 Tony came back as promised and spent hours bringing the floor to a lustrous finish. A man of his word! Thank you Tony and Unique Touch Concrete Design for a fabulous job!

Big Ben and his crew did a fantastic job in completely demolishing the interior of my 3000 sq. ft. century old home. The lathe and plaster walls were covered with multiple layers of wallboard and the ceilings were also lathe and plaster creating a difficult and messy environment. Multiple layers of the floor coverings and 2 chimneys were also removed. The crew of Steve, Glen, Rupert and Charlie worked through the mess with great determination and completed the project on time and on budget. Big Ben was always available to answer questions and promptly returned voice messages and his is word was as good as gold. I would highly recommend Big Ben and his crew for any demolition or junk removal; project. Walter from Toronto.
