We moved into a new custom home a couple years ago. The home came with some builder's standard 7 inch plaster crown moulding in some rooms. We have been enjoying these mouldings for two years now, and have really come to enjoy the beauty of them and appreciated the quality installation work. Recently, we wanted to add crown mouldings to our master bedroom and bathroom. Plaster crown moulding is not as common in the marketplace as MDF and Wood, but it is the true type of moulding to have for durability, shrinkage and class. Working with our Builder, we were able to find out the name of our installers. Zain Designs. Ammar at Zain designs is very knowledgeable in the history, application, functionality and architectural value of plaster crown moulding. Upon scheduling our visit with Ammar, we were pleased to see the variety of crown moulding designs he carries. He also has a wonderful selection of applied plaster mouldings for walls, ceilings and more. Ammar walked us through the options for our master ceiling and helped us select something appropriate for the space. During our visit, we could tell that Ammar was very interested in how much we were enjoying our mouldings that he installed through the Builder. He took time to look at the condition of our existing mouldings. We could tell he is very interested in the quality of his team's work. Ammar does not rush you through the selection of a design. He is very soft spoken and pleasant to work with. Our project was scheduled for a specific date and completed on time and to the price we were quoted. Ammar's installers are very careful. As plaster can be a messy job, they were careful to cover all the floors and work areas with drop sheets and plastic. Upon completion of the work, they did a thorough clean up and removed all materials and waste, with no damage to our walls or floors. The finished product is beautiful. We did the priming and painting of the mouldings a week after the project was done, and the final look is great. We would highly recommend Ammar and his team, if you are looking to add some classy and beautiful crown mouldings to any room in your home. Ammar works a lot with custom builders, but he is flexible enough to take on smaller projects. Thanks Ammar and team Mike

I shopped at Decorium for the first time in August 2011. It will be my last time. I should have checked homestars first. The reviews you see on here about poor customer service and terrible delivery times are 100% true. We took advantage of their 25% off sale in August, to buy a new leather sectional and sofa. We received the sectional in mid-September (which is reasonable), but the loveseat took until mid-November!! That is not acceptable. Every time we called the office to get a hold of the lady who coordinates deliveries, we would never get through. I don't believe she ever picks up her phone. (Kind of like one of those people at work who watch their call display, and let the voice mail get it every time). Oh, and don't try getting a hold of a Manager, the Receptionist ensures that you never get through to one. The odd time we did get through to someone (usually the sales rep), we were always told poor excuses with broad, open ended timelines for delivery. It changed from September, to early October, to late October to November. When the sofa finally did arrive in November, they told us we were in the early morning time slot (9 to 12) for delivery. We waited around all morning, and the delivery never came. When we contacted the office, they told us we were now in the afternoon slot (12 to 4). The furniture never arrived in that window either. It ended up coming at 5:30 on the delivery date. My wife and I wasted a whole Saturday at home, because of Decorium's terrible delivery service. I can't even imagine why they charge for it. They should pay you. After all those months waiting for furniture and the shotty delivery service, they never even called to say sorry or inquire about the satisfaction with the product. Decorium are really just a big advertising, glizty commercial operation. The support staff, sales people and managers are terrible. Thinking back, even the in store experience was awful. The sales people dance around looking for commissions, and as soon as one rep. starts dealing with you, the others start watching you to see if they can sweep in. Then when one sees you are free, that rep. trys to grab you. We actually had two reps. fighting over us for a sale. This isn't a very professional way of presenting your staff. However, it was a hint of what the staff at Decorium is all about......themselves. I can't recommend Decorium to anyone. This purchase was my first and last. If you want bigger box furniture stores, go to Leons.

This is my second experience with Phill and his team from Quality Home Services. The scope of my current project was small (jacuzzi removal and soaker tub replacement); but important to a functional bathroom. A few years ago, I had renovated a fair portion of my master ensuite (toilet, vanity, floors, and tile surrounding my bathtub). I had left my original Jaccuzi tub (with its new tile surround), because it was functional. This was a mistake! The tub came to leak a year or so later leaked. Before ever working with Phill @ Quality Home Services earlier this year, I had contacted a few of the "highly rated" Plumbers and bathroom renovators listed here on Homestars. Of the 4 or 5 I called, none of them were willing to visit my home or provide accurate over the phone assessments. The common explanation I got was the the tub had to be removed from underneath (ie. open ceiling below) and/or required all my "new" tile surround to be smashed out. I was worried. My luck changed when Phill @ Quality Home Services (QSH) (via Design Carpet and Hardwood) completed a flooring project for me in May 2010. Phill took a look at my bathtub problem, honestly assessed the situation, and recommended his Plumber confirm the job was possible. A short time thereafter, the Plumber from QSH (Rick) confirmed the job was highly do-able, with none of the unusual excuses I heard from the top rated contractors I spoke to previously. After speaking with Rick, I was comfortable that that job (while a bit awkward) was not uncommon. (Unlike the other contractors I had spoken with, who made the project sound like a highly destructive process). So, the work was scheduled, I shopped for a new soaker tub for my bathroom...and within a reasonable timeframe, Phill and Rick completed the job to my total satisfaction. The existing jacuzzi tub was removed without any damage to my previous renovation work. Rick was able to accomodate my desired orientation for my faucet (different from previous) and fit the tub perfectly into the existing surround. Phill and Rick were honest from start to finish. The work was clean and well done. You would never know that a different tub once sat in the same position as my new one. I would highly recommend Quality Home Services. If it wasn't for them, I think I'd still be stuck with an old, faulty Jacuzzi tub in my master ensuite. I'm very appreciative of their willingness to take on a smaller project, give an honest assessment, and fit it into their schedules. They were always kind and informative throughout the project. I previously recommended Quality Home Services for its great flooring work, I can highly recommend them for any bathroom work that you may require.

I researched a number of flooring companies in Mississauga. I was looking for insights and material recommendation for a master bedroom floor. After visiting some of the bigger name companies, I found Design Carpet and Hardwood on Laird Dr in Mississauga. I had been to few places, where the information on the products (Laminates) were poorly discussed. The owner (Frank) took the time to discuss with me the qualities of laminates he offered, including details about the Manufacturers he deals with and why. After agreeing to a laminate material, Frank visited my home for a precise measure. I had a problem with squeeky floors in the room of concern (Builder issue). Frank provided me tips on how to inexpensively correct the problem, prior to the flooring install. These recommendations, combined with the quality materials and detailed installation by Frank's installer Phill, resulted in an excellent outcome. I now have a beautiful floor, no more squeeks, and an excellent look. Thanks Frank....I will recommend you to others looking for flooring and or hardwood. Frank is honest, fair, and knowledgable.

Phill of Quality Home Services performed an exceptional and detail-oriented installation of laminate flooring in my master bedroom and walk-in closet. Phill and his crew performed a very clean installation. Phill and his team arrived on time and completed the job to perfection. Phill doesn't rush the job, and ensures that the final project results would meet his own home's expectations. I would highly recommend Phill and his team for any flooring project. His general contracting crew is also capable of larger projects (bathrooms & Kitchens). Thanks Phill. Mike

We recently completed our Kitchen renovation. Our last project in the kitchen was the backsplash. After reading the great reviews on Vule Tile, we contacted Vule. He was very responsive to our first contact, and was very open as to his prices and availability. He shared photos of other backslashes he had done, so as to communicate the quality of his workmanship. Vule did an outstanding job on our backspash, with prices that were very reasonable. The tile that we had chosen for our backsplash (travertine & glass mosaic) was a tricky type for cutting, but Vule and his assistant did a superb job to maximize the materials available, with little waste. The finished product looked better than we had envisioned. Vule was always on time for his working day, and maintained a clean and damage-free work-place. I would highly recommend Vule for any tiling project. Thanks Vule.
