Ali and Mo took on our project after we were left hanging by another contractor who failed to finish the project. I will speak to their professional work below, but I want to first say that they are truly wonderful human beings. It was genuinely a pleasure to have them work for us. Unlike some other contractors, Ali and Mo were always on site. The fact that they either did the work or directly oversaw other tradespeople meant there was never an issue. They treated the work like it was their own home. They were also always prepared with materials so there was never an unplanned down period in the work. The quality of their work was exceptional. In fact, it might be the only time I have had a contractor do work that hasn't even had a single issue arise. Everything was done right and nothing was missed. I never felt I had to play the 'general contractor' role myself or had to tell them anything. Any they regularly communicated, which was refreshing. They were also clean and removed their debris and trash regularly. To top it off, they price their work fairly. Great people doing great work. I will hire them again.

While I have used other arborists and tree companies in the past, I decided to recently try Upanoak based on the company's strong charitable support of the local community, particularly giving back to our local hospitals. Darryl and his team (Dave and Dustin) did a great job on a highly technical removal of 5 trees. They were skilled, professional, responsive and genuinely nice people. They completed the work in a timely manner, were careful not to create any damage or mess, and did the work at a very fair price. I also appreciated the care that Darryl took to help mentor his team as they worked - treating every removal as a chance to build the learning, skill and experience of his workers. Watching him freely transfer his knowledge and knowing how Darryl gives back to the community suggests the type of genuinely good person that he is. I would recommend them highly and will certainly use them again as needed.

This is a warning to anyone who thinks about using this company or Darryl and Kayla the owners. I have used them several times and every time has gotten worse, until the most recent time where they took our money and refused to finish the project. They left us with a partially finished project and completely upset our lives. They even refused to remove garbage and debris from our property. In fact, they have recently even shut down their company website, so be very wary. They don't really seem to have anyone but one tradesperson named Dave working for them anymore. And several sub-trades have said to me that they won't work with them anymore. If you are currently working with them you may want to check them out carefully. They are pompous, untrustworthy, unprofessional and most recently Darryl, one of the owners, said to me that he hates working and dealing with clients. Darryl's attitude is that clients work for him. They have so little concern for clients now that he actually said that we can't tell them what to do as we are ONLY the clients. Wow, that speaks volumes to what they think about the people paying them. Be aware that they are also grossly overpriced and their quotes are significantly higher than almost any contractor you will find.

This is our second time using Ludwig, having used them on our first and second homes. We were so pleased with the first use that using them again was a no-brainer. You will pay a small premium for them but it's well worth it. They use premium products, don't skip any corners, and their attention to the smallest detail is the best in this industry. William is an honest and genuine sales rep and George and his crew are second to none. Our driveway had some tough grading challenges and they resolved them fully. George has treated both our driveways like he was working on his own home They are also respectful and clean.
