I have nothing but good things to say about Alec and the work they do. The number of glowing reviews on this site speaks for itself. He was the 2nd company I got quoted from and after speaking to him, I didn't see a point getting more quotes. Price is competitive and fair, but it's his knowledge, workmanship and service that earns him the reputation. He made sure that all issues I brought up were accounted for and was very detailed and courteous from start to end. He has a great attention to detail and isn't there to just speed through the job like many other contractors and deck builders. I could really tell that he takes a lot of pride in his company and his work. My wife and I are very happy about the end result and we would highly recommend him to anyone looking. Thanks Alec

Had a tree growing too close to the house and space was very tight in the backyard. I had 5 quotes done. While some quoted 2x more than what Steve Charged me, to others fishing for lowest quotes that I've received and some saying certain things can't be done this way or that etc. Steve came, looked at the tree and situation for 30 seconds and quickly came up with a plan. He also shares his knowledge on the surrounding trees if they will become a problem in the near future or not as well. Overall displays his knowledge above anyone else I met up with for quotes. Arrived on time the next morning, climbed it, cut, roped down branches, cleaned up and was off my property in under 3 hours. Fast and Courteous and reasonably priced. What more can you ask for? I understood why some quotes were so high afterwards because the less experienced would have taken twice the amount of time to complete the job... His perfect rating so far is well deserved. much better prices than most specialty bath stores as they carry or can order the exact same stuff. Not always the best prices, but overall, pretty easy to deal with them. Their delivery service was kinda crap since they only sent one guy to deliver a bunch of stuff including a large bath tub, I ended up having to help him with bringing everything into the house. Now if it was just my wife home? there's no way in hell he could have gotten that thing inside without breaking both the tub and my doorway... So yes, cheaper prices, but cheaper service. Bottom line: Not bad.. save some money and still 10x better than going to a big box store

very pushy when signing up membership. And unless you renovate a couple houses and put in over 50K in purchases, you won't save money with today's membership rates. They often charge shipping and handling at ridiculous rates and delivery to their warehouse takes 4-6 weeks which is very long if you missed ordering something for your reno project or ordered the wrong part. On top of that, you have to go back to the warehouse and pick it up yourself. I found several other places that sold bath fixtures at similar prices and then bath vanities at cheaper prices. Certain things are cheaper through Direct Buy, but I don't think it's worth it. Bottom line.. unless you spend over 50 - 60K there, you won't save money.

they showed up very late with no calls. They said they would pretreat stains etc and remove them, but i found that 90% of the stains were still there although i understand that a lot of those stains were probably not removable, it didn't seem like they tried very well to clean it. Overall they did the job in about half the time they said they would and didn't seem worth my money.

Had my stucco ceiling repaired and painted. They have several crews so i guess it also depends on who you get. First the good stuff: Everyone was extremely pleasant to talk and deal with. Very timely and professional. Unlike most other painters, they are able to spray paint the ceiling which is a lot faster and does not disturb the stucco like using a roller would. Other painters were giving me a similar price but 3 work days oppose to 1 work day. Overall they did a pretty good job on the ceiling and they clean up very well after themselves. Things I noticed after was that the edges of the ceilng close to the wall was not painted as well as the centre. They also didn't cover my pot lights properly so there was lots of paint behind the light and one of my light fixtures had cracked glass when they were done. But I was still pretty pleased with the quality of the repairs and paint job over all.

Dealt with Joey there. He's absolutely amazing. Friendly and helpful. They did a good job overall with the cutting and polishing. He helped me undermount my sink and they reinforced the necessary pieces of marble with steel. Prices are very competitive. Where you would find prices at $90 to $100 per square foot at homedepot and rona, you will definitely find bluemar to be alot more reasonably priced!

They were efficient, and on time. They didn't give me too much info on rebates or about the insulation and job itself, but then again, I didn't ask too many questions. I got blown insulation in my attic approx 500 sq ft. I went from R20 to R50. I looked at the result and was pretty happy. The price is very competitive and would probably cost you the same if you bought rolls of insulation and did a DIY job. I would recommend them.
