Royal Work waterproofed our foundation (detached home), installed a sump pump, and backwater valve a year ago. We waited a year to post this so we can see how the work has stood up to all four seasons. We've been extremely happy with the results. The team arrived on schedule everyday, strategically worked around the house with care, and left daily as if they were never there. There was no clean up required when the project was done. The team would inform us of any foundation damage and repair it before continuing their work. Our basement is leak-free and humidity levels have drastically lowered over the warm seasons. We had three companies provide us estimates and made the decision to go with Ken because he was professional, thorough, extremely friendly, and reasonably priced. Not only did Ken look at our furnace and AC during the initial visit, but he also did a thorough inspection of all our ducts, vents, and air flow to determine the right furnace and AC capacity for our home. When the forecast called for heavy rain, Ken called days in advance to find a new date due to safety reasons and to make sure the new equipment would not be compromised. On installation day, Ken and his two sons started work promptly on arrival and had the two units installed by late afternoon. During installation, Ken took the time to bring the setup up to date with code (with new pipes and electrical) rather than replacing the units one for one. Following installation, a thorough test was done throughout the house to make sure there the units were working properly. Thanks to Ken and his sons, our 1950s home is now comfortable on all levels including the top floor which we did not think was possible. Thanks again, Ken & team!

Welda Windows replaced our large bow window, all basement windows, exterior doors, and storm doors last November. It was the second time we used Welda Windows for our home and we were as happy with the work as we were the first time around. Robert was fantastic in helping us select exactly what we wanted. The crew was professional and took extra steps to ensure excellent quality installation. In July, we contacted Robert again to see if there was a solution for portable A/C units for casement windows. We had a leaky basement and noticed it was coming from the porch. Brian came to give us an estimate and determined that our porch was sloped towards the house causing rainwater to sit and deteriorate the bricks. He provided the best solution for us, repour the top slab and replace a few rows of bricks. Otto found matching bricks for our 1950s home and his crew did a beautiful job of replacing the bricks. During the demolition, the porch turned out to be hollow and extra steps were taken to prepare the site for the concrete pour. Although there were additional charges, they were reasonable and everything still came under other quotes we received. The porch now looks great and we no longer have water leaks. We highly recommend Otto's Masonry for their attention to detail, quality of work, and professionalism.

We contacted Mapleleaf Electric Inc for a quote and Alex responded on the same day. He did a walkthrough with us and recommended what work was needed and what was unnecessary. We called other companies, but we liked Alex's quote and service best. One company even told us to schedule the hydro disconnect and ESA inspection ourselves whereas Alex included that as part of the job. On the day of the job, Alex and his crew of two came to replace the electrical panel. They were punctual, professional, and finished within half a day. The crew made sure everything was functioning and even fixed a small issue with a disconnected light before they left. By evening, we received the ESA Certificate of Inspection from Alex. We highly recommend Mapleleaf Electric. Edit: During the job, one of the breakers could not be tested because our cooktop was not working at the time. When the repairman came to fix the cooktop, we found that it was not getting power to the cooktop. We immediately contacted Alex and he scheduled us in on a weekend. Alex came over first thing on a Saturday and discovered a loose wire unrelated to the job he had done a week earlier. Alex fixed it anyway, made sure our cooktop was working, and did not charge us for his time.

Dion and his crew of two did a wonderful job of removing a spruce tree and a couple of stumps from our front yard. Initially, we wanted the spruce tree trimmed, but Dion helped us understand that it would be tricky and the end result wouldn't be what we wanted due to the type of tree. He still gave us a quote for both pruning and removal. We decided to remove the tree and are happy with the results. Dion and his crew were punctual and professional. They used modern equipment, leaving minimal damage to our yard, and cleaned up well after the job. We will definitely be using Hudson Tree Services in the future. Thank you!

We went with Welda upon the recommendation of friends who hired the company for window & door installation in two of their homes. We liked their product best out of the three companies we met with and the price was reasonable. The installation was set for November 2014, but we received a surprise call to have the windows installed three weeks early. Altogether, four windows were installed and the work done was fantastic. The windows have really changed the look of the rooms. Thanks to Welda our house was warm all winter. We look forward to working with Welda in the near future and will recommend them to family and friends.

Terry and his crew did an excellent job on our roof back in July. Terry provided a reasonable quote and answered any questions we had. On the day of the job, his crew arrived early and finished on time. They were careful to work around all our plants and did a great cleanup job afterwards. It was as if they were never there. James took us around the showroom, showed us samples of different styles and finishes for cabinet doors and drawers, and answered any questions we had. The price was very reasonable for custom cabinet doors and the order was completed on time. The sizes and finishes were exactly what we wanted and we couldn't be happier with the end product.
