My refrigerator was leaking and this company was able to send someone the day after my request. The problem was diagnosed quickly, the quote was reasonable and the work was done quickly and with no mess. I will definitely call this company next time I have an appliance problem.

Austin fixed our pipe the way it should have been in the first place. As usual, he was prompt, efficient, and very knowledgeable. We'll be having him back to correct some of the other questionable plumbing situations in our basement.

Ken was the only one of the 3 companies that Home Stars sent my quote request to that responded. He sent out a crew the same week and they had the chimney finished the same day. The colour he chose coordinates perfectly with our house and was exactly what we had in mind. The crew were efficient and very tidy. I went out afterward to check my neighbour's driveway for nails since it is close to the chimney and it looked so clean, I wondered if they had swept it. It's such a relief to hire a company who gives you exactly what you want for a reasonable price. Thanks, Ken.

Classy firm. They admitted they had made a mistake by installing an unnecessary part (an understandable error as the problem was hard to diagnose). They reversed the charge, left the new part in place and fixed the original problem. All in one 30 below day. We had previously used this company to install a new water heater and were just as pleased with Paul and Austin this time as then. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Four years after the job was completed, we discovered a small problem with our windows that we needed fixed in order to install new window treatments. As our blinds were being installed less than a week after we discovered the issue, there was a serious time crunch. It took a couple of phone calls but Active had someone fix the problem in time for us to prep the wall for the new installation. I was impressed and relieved that, even after considerable time had elapsed, they were willing to fix their mistake. This is a company who is willing to stand behind their work so I would definitely use them again.

Ryan created a lovely front walkway for us. He removed and disposed of our old sidewalk, then dug down 10-12 inches to prepare for the new bricks. Ryan was very particular about every detail, not moving on to the next step until it was perfect. For example, he tamped down one of the base layers 'one more time' several times because it didn't look quite right to him, and he would discard a brick if it wasn't exactly the fit he wanted. The whole job only took 2 days however, because Ryan works quickly, moving with assurance from one task to the next. His evident pride in his work made me confident that the walkway would be solid, and it is. He has checked with us a couple of times to make sure it is still level and, even with the freezes and thaws we have had, it is as straight and even as the day he finished. Ryan gave us a beautiful piece of landscaping that has dramatically improved the curb appeal of our home. We have recommended New Look to several people, including my husband's boss, and I am confident that they will be as pleased as we are.
