Right from the get go, communication and service were great. Sergey was thorough with his measurements as was Natalia with the communication. On installation day, the workers arrived right on time and laid floor protection from the door to the kitchen to protect the hardwood. I chose a difficult granite to work with and while I was mostly satisfied with the fabrication, I did have some issues with the installation. The peninsula part of the countertop was cut in my driveway, not at their facility. There was a crooked cut at the wall that was camouflaged with caulk and the seam joining the two pieces was not where I was expecting it and is much more obvious than I would have liked. When I asked about it, I was told "a seam is a seam is a seam" and there was nothing they could do to make it less obvious. In the end, I had to find someone else to fix it. A word of advice: find out where the seam is going to be before you commit.

$4,000.00

Company Response

Linda, thank you so much for your review. Im sorry to hear you are not completely satisfied with the final product. I wish you had contacted me to report problems with the installation before posting this review as we always try to resolve all issues and answer all of your questions.
Yes you did pick extremely difficult and problematic granite which is rarely used in kitchens. This explains why most fabricators don’t work with it. I was honest with you from the beginning that final product will not be perfect, seams will be visible and there will be chips and holes filled with glue. This is only because of the nature and structure of this particular stone and you wanted it regardless. In regards to the seam placement, peninsula was the only possible solution in this case and again we have discussed with you that if you choose this granite, there will be no flexibility at all with the edging and seaming. In fact I personally took a huge risk and requested to make only one joint instead of two recommended by our installers and technicians (peninsula and sink). I have told you that there was a 50/50 chance of breakage during transportation or installation. I truly believe that installer did everything possible to make your kitchen including the seam look as good as it can be. However we are perfectionists and your feedback is very important to us. If you indeed hired somebody else to “fix” the seam and if you are happy with their job, i insist that we pay your bill. Also please respond to my personal email that i sent you and please let us take a look at it so we can learn and improve.
Besides the seam, you have never mentioned any problems with the installation and when I called you to follow up you said that everything else was good. (Yes i admit you did mention the seam)
Faucet holes are drilled on site during installation but everything else is always cut in our shop. Sometimes we do have to make adjustments and additional cuts. It does happen. If cuts are necessary, the installers always take granite outside to make sure there is as little dust as possible in your house. Please let me know why this is a problem, as you have never mentioned anything about it before.
Also we do have to cut walls sometimes. The wall in your kitchen was very uneven and it was safer to cut the wall than the granite, again, just because your granite is extremely fragile. The wall was cut on a straight line, but because it’s so uneven, the cut is more visible. Once countertops are put in, installers do not camouflage but seal the space between counter and the wall with waterproof paintable products. It is sealed everywhere and every time, not only when the walls are cut. This is a standard procedure to prepare walls for painting if tile backsplash is not installed. Again if you have any doubts about installation, you are always welcome to ask questions and we will be more than happy to answer them. There is an explanation to each and every step of the fabrication and installation process. You have never mentioned anything to the installers and they said you were very happy with the installation, so i assumed that everything went well. If you are having any problems associated with wall cutting or anything else, please let me know, we’d like to work with you on this to make you happy. If mistake was made somewhere by our installers or by me, please let us know and we will take full responsibility for it.
Im wishing you all the best. Natallia
