Ordered by phone. customer service was very pleasant and helpful. Chose standard delivery - package arrived within two days. No surprises or disappointments. Price was better than most. Remains to be seen if the product offers good value for money. Only time will tell.

I normally obtain at least 3 quotes before engaging a contractor for any sizable job. In this case, I hired Carlo of the Stone Contractors Group for this project though his was only the second quote. His quote was $1200 less than the other one, but more than that, Carlo inspired confidence that he could do the job properly and efficiently. He showed up with his apprentice on the day promised, and completed the job within the promised time frame, though one day was lost when they arrived late just as rain began to fall. I was very pleased with the overall solidity and finishing of the rebuilt steps, and with the repair of the cracked concrete front porch. When I brought to Carlo's attention that there were some tar deposits left on the steps, and that one step was not secure, they returned the next day to rectify the problem. No argument, no hassle. It was a pleasure dealing with Carlo - he was always pleasant, knowledgeable and professional, and he offered valuable advice on a related project, the installation of railings.
