The crew fabricated and installed a couple of corian countertops in a West Van condo building. We were happy with the service. The work was good and Philipp and co communicated well and showed up on time, unlike every other trade person in the entire universe. So, well recommended.

We called Ashton as our house needed a new boiler and domestic water heater. We have heated polished concrete floors on the main level and baseboards on the upper. We opted to install a combi unit to reclaim some space and for the efficiency. It took a few phone calls to get Ashton out, but when they did it worked out very well. From first quote to final deficiency adjustments the process went smoothly. The mechanical installation was done by Rob and he did a great job. The install is very clean and he engaged the project with patience and professionalism. He had to return a few times to make a few adjustments and everything was fine. I feel I can trust Ashton to be there into the future. Good plumbers are super hard to find. Ashton is the best we've used so far.

My spouse and I are house nerds. We buy old architecturally interesting or significant properties and restore or resto-mod them. We have really high standards and typically fire about 75% of our trades on any given project due to poor workmanship/ quality/ attitude which seems to be epidemic amongst trades in Vancouver. Ed at Dunbar Hardwoods has worked on three of our projects and has always beat our expectations. He refinished the top-nailed red oak floors in our West Side Gerald Hamilton 1959 stand-alone penthouse, the oak floors of our classic east Van bungalow, and most recently the reclaimed shiplap (apparently from a 100 year old barge) fir floors of our AA Robins super-pomo house at Main and 25th. Ed does a great job at providing options that work best for the situation and never oversells etc. The craftsmanship is superb and the attention to detail is borderline obsessive. So nice to find someone that will do a good job. We are super happy with the results. The floors looks fantastic and the system that Ed suggested has worked out perfectly. The final invoice came in as expected. We found Dunbar Hardwoods to provide excellent value for the service and quality of workmanship. We'll definitely use Ed on our future projects.
