1/10

Greg came to install the vanity unit. To do the plumbing and put the base 'in situ' followed by the faucets and then the top. The unit came WITH wooden 'feet', which HE did NOT discover till AFTER he'd done the plumbing, by which time it was too late, unless he undid all the work he'd just done. He 'hid' the feet in the 2nd drawer. I KNOW this because in my GLEE I'd been into the bathroom several times before he came back to install it properly-(we had to have official condo people turning off the water which did waste more time) just to 'finally' enjoy having a real vanity in there. I checked each drawer, as one does just for the pleasure of them sliding in and out. A middle aged woman 'thing'- if you will. Naturally all drawers are empty as they should be. He comes the next day and finishes installing. At this point in my excitement I had forgotten about the feet being part of it but stubbing my feet on the base VERY soon reminded me AND finding a 'lump' in the 2nd drawer, cleverly hidden from the top view, (one could see into the top drawers before the top went on which is why he put these 'feet' in LATE, when he UNPACKED them LATE> IF he had unpacked EVERYTHING FIRST, we wouldn't be in this position. I was asked if I'd given them a PICTURE! These plumbers are not in kindergarden! IF one unpacks ALL one finds everything BEFORE one starts. AND to add insult to injury 'Justin' at the office said he would 'believe my plumber over you' and Greg had ALSO put up 2 towel rails that have BOTH since come down, in the last week, and they've only been UP 4-5 weeks in the first place. AND they are TRYING to charge an EXTRA $500 for rectifying GREG's own blunder and pass the buck to us. $500 because HE discovered something late! We don't HAVE $500 to go towards that! And whilst we get no response lately we're STILL stubbing our feet and have paid $1500 for someone not to check everything out FIRST! Thank you.

Company Response

Hazel,

First of all, I would like to mention that I have responded to your concerns each and every time you have called us. I would like to recap the entire job from beginning to end. July 13 we signed a work order to install a customer supplied vanity and 2 faucets, what should have been a one day job, for $1345.00. On july 23rd we sent 2 licensed plumbers downtown to Yonge and Bloor, to complete the work according to the agreement. When we arrived, the water to your unit could not be shut off, so we were unable to complete the work. This is billable time, as the delay was not our fault, and we had 2 plumbers spend 1/2 a day and had scheduled them off for the entire day. We came back on July 27th a second time to complete the work, and this time, the vanity that the manufacturer sent to you was cracked. Whenever we do not supply the parts, we are not responsible for defects of any kind, this is the benefit of us supplying parts,in that you receive a warranty for our parts and labor. Again we had scheduled 2 licensed plumbers off for an entire day and had sent them home with no work. As when working with any professional, this time is billable as it is not our fault for the delay. We came back a 3rd time to do the work on August 6th, and this time we completed the work according to your instruction and satisfaction and you signed off on the completed work order after inspecting the work. You called us back the next day to say that the feet had not been installed on the vanity. When I asked Greg about it, he said that he knew nothing about it and that you never gave him the feet, verbal or written instructions or a picture, prior to the installation. We did want you to be happy however and tried to rectify the issues with you, so we sent 2 plumbers once again on Aug. 11th, to put the feet on for you. Once again there was a delay, as this time you did not have the screw for the feet you wanted us to install. Once again we had sent 2 licensed plumbers down town and spent half a day. Once again this is billable time since we did not supply the parts or fixtures. It is unfair to say that "we tried to pass the buck to you." After all of this, we submitted an invoice for the additional trips to you, and you refuse to pay us. Therefore we can no longer provide service to you, and for that I am truly sorry. We really tried to make you happy, and if we only had to come back once or even twice to do the work and you had your materials in order, we wouldn't have even bothered billing you any extra time.
We simply do not turn our backs on our customers. We feel like your Review is a misleading representation of our company, and our culture of customer service. I can only hope that people reading this will understand our position, not hold this against us, read and focus on the very many positive reviews we have received. Thank You. Austin
