Jose & his partner arrived a bit early and completed the job the same day albeit after dark. They set up protective matting throughout the house along the route to the installations. The installation was efficient, windows are beautiful and functional. Service was very good throughout, from my sales rep Derek to the installers. The retractable screen is fantastic, I like the clarity of not having a screen to look through. The notion of having more light in the house didn't really register until I was having lunch in the kitchen a couple of days after installation. I always had the lights on in the kitchen regardless of the time of day as I had heavy duty pet screens on the kitchen windows (to keep pesky squirrels out when they smelled peanuts),I made lunch & ate lunch without the lights on and it was bright in the kitchen. The solar/privacy shades that were installed in the kitchen windows look awesome and they do keep out the cold. The work workmanship was very good, the only negative I have is that the caulking on the exterior of the windows on the east side of the house (along the top) was only beaded and not smoothed out. That's probably because they were finishing the exterior work on that side after the sun had set and were using lights to complete the job. Cleanup inside the house was excellent and outdoors it was very good. Although their quote was not the lowest, I chose Magic Windows for the retractable screen feature. If I could clean the exterior of the slider windows from the inside as I could with my old windows, my Magic windows would be perfect. Several people have seen the windows and were very impressed with the retractable screen and the solar/privacy screen The comprehensive warranty is top notch, can't beat 40 years of warranty. While I had to wait 5 months for the installation, it was worth the wait, the windows are beautiful I would definitely recommend Magic windows.

Sohail did a few projects for me. He replaced an old motion sensor floodlight with a security floodlight. Then he replaced two semi flush lights in the kitchen with island lights with 3 pendants. The wires were at least 2' too long so he had to cut the wires. The wires were not coded black and white so he had to test each wire to determine which was the hot wire and which was the neutral wire. I wanted the pendants hung at different heights and he did an excellent job. The lights look terrific & really brighten up the kitchen. He replaced an original outlet in the bedroom, but before he replaced it he tested it to ensure that it was grounded (I have an older home). Lastly he replaced a faulty outlet in the patio enclosure with a temper proof outlet. Sohail is professional, courteous and informative. He took off his shoes in the porch, cleaned up the debris as he completed each project, he was respectful of my home. He wore a mask the entire time even when he was outdoors. I couldn't have asked for better service. The cost was extremely reasonable, it was less than I expected. I highly recommend Landry & Associates, in fact I have given their number to one of my neighbours who will be having some electrical work/consultation done in the near future.

Peter replaced 5 ceiling fixtures and two outlets in the living room that had seen better days. He replaced the original fixtures that were around for over 50 years so some of the hardware didn't fit so he had to cut or replace some of the screws provided. The new ceiling fixtures and chandeliers look fantastic. Peter is courteous and professional, the price quoted was extremely good I will certainly use the company again, I couldn't be happier with the service provided. Highly recommend Paramount Electric.

At the back was a dilapidated fence half of which was the original 3' high chainlink fence that was erected when the house was built 50 years ago.The wooden fence on the south side was badly damaged by a windstorm and needed to be replaced.I didn't want another wooden fence because of the high maintenance and my neighbour agreed. I researched different products iron, aluminum, composite and vinyl and vinyl had the best overall qualities and value. The fence is durable, virtually maintenance free and it's aesthetically appealing. I like the fact that I don't have to stain it and it won't rot a few years down the road or attract termites like a wooden fence will. From the first point of contact with the very helpful receptionist and later Avi with his low-key professional manner I felt comfortable that we were making the right choice with both the product and the company. Not only did Avi quote a very good price but the fence has a manufacturer's lifetime warranty against cracking, warping peeling and discolouring. The fence was installed very quickly, over 100' of fence and two gates in less than 2 days, there was no digging or pouring of concrete, the 7' posts were pounded into the ground by a small machine. They had to contend with uneven terrain that sloped in two directions, my shed, rocks, plants and neighbour's trees. The crew worked very hard in the heat and were always polite and answered all questions asked. My neighbour wanted a 5' fence with double rails so that was agreed on for the backyard with a 6' fence in the front yard but when the 5' fence was up we decided it was too low so we called Avi and once again got an excellent price for the picket top to bring the fence to 6'. I'm getting a lot of positive comments from dogwalkers and neighbours, they really like the fence. The fence has great visual appeal and also provides security and privacy. And there's an added bonus - squirrels and raccoon do not like the fence. Highly recommend Avi and his team at Vinyl Fence Forever to anyone considering a new fence.

Over 30 years ago I bought a brick-to-brick bungalow, I upgraded doors, windows and attic insulation but still had a cold drafty home in the winter especially in the living room. I looked at various options to insulate the walls but I wasn't keen on any of them until I saw the ad from Brand Insulation, I did research on both the company and the procedure and decided that this was what I was looking for. I could insulate my home from the inside without reducing the size of the rooms. My outside walls are stained so I didn't want any holes from the outside. I had the attic insulation topped up from R25 to R50 and had Air Krete installed in the inside walls so I probably have R6 wall insulation. The attic insulation qualified for the Government rebate but the wall insulation did not. The product is non-expanding cement based foam so it won't damage my walls, it's non-toxic and also reduces outside noise which is invaluable when neighbours have late night parties. I am looking forward to lower heating/cooling bills. The procedure is very labour intensive, it's amazing watching these guys work. Two guys start drilling, there is a vacuum attached to the drill that sucks up the debris so there is little mess and dust. Then the two guys start filling the holes with insulation, one controls the amount of insulation while the other fills the holes and surrounding area. After a while a third guy came along and cut off the excess insulation, then he rough patched with Sheetrock 90, this guy was unreal, he had such flare, I watched him doing the rough patch and it was so smooth, I couldn't believe how fast he was. When the rough patch dried you could barely see where the holes were drilled as the patches blended in with the wall paint. I was very impressed by the expertise and professionalism of the entire crew. From my initial contact to the end of the project the company provided excellent customer service-some companies say they provide good customer service but this company delivers. Thanks so much to you and your crew for their hard work. Have no hesitation in recommending Brand Insulation for all your insulation needs.

I had Air Krete insulation put into the walls from the inside so there were numerous patches/skimmed patches on the walls. The living room and entryway have 10' ceilings and the stairwell into the basement is much higher, all the walls in this area had patched holes. The dining room had one wall with patches and the hallway has one long wall in faux paint and a popcorn ceiling. I had the door frame leading into the kitchen removed as there was no door. The 3-man crew did an incredible job, they were meticulous about their work. They repaired the door frame area surrounded by faux paint and also a crack in the faux painted wall in such a way that it is not discernible unless you are looking for it. They painted the popcorn ceiling and it looks so much better. Excellent wall prep, they sanded the walls before painting and used low-voc Benjamin Moore paint so there was virtually no smell. They swept up and then vacuumed the floors, cleaned up any paint spots with a damp cloth. They were the best contractor I've had when it came to cleaning up, knew how to clean hardwood floors. The price was competitive, the crew fast and efficient. They were courteous and obliging in all our dealings, they were a pleasure to deal with. Have no hesitation in recommending the company for your painting needs.

A great two-man crew, they were courteous and professional providing quality workmanship. They removed the old baseboards and installed beautiful modern baseboards throughout the living room, dining room, hallway and entryway. Removing the baseboards in the living room and entryway was a challenge as the floor company didn't remove the baseboards when they installed the flooring a few years ago so the bottom of the baseboard was below the hardwood floor. The baseboards were removed without damaging my floor. I purchased PVC baseboards and they were initially skeptical working with the PVC product, however the quality of work is amazing, the corner joints are crisp and wall flaws have virtually disappeared. They even fixed my cold air vent. Have no hesitation in recommending Niall and his team of skilled carpenters. Have no hesitation in recommending Niall and his team of skilled carpenters.

One of my outlets shorted and I had a problem with another outlet and a wall switch. I called Hi-Lite Electric (this was the second time I used their services) and while it was a minor job the outlets were replaced the following day. The price was reasonable and the work done to my entire satisfaction.

From the moment I walked into K Wood Kitchens showroom and the receptionist enthusiastically showed me the various features in the model kitchens, I was impressed. Cheryl, a sales consultant understood my requirements and provided a great design/advice at an affordable price. Quing and his highly skilled, precise and meticulous crew changed my ugly dysfunctional 1960's kitchen into a beautiful kitchen with plenty of cabinets and countertops. They had to overcome a few problems like insulation in the bulkheads they removed, uneven walls and hidden pipes. They not only repaired the holes from the demolition and those made by the electrician but patched up imperfections on the walls and then primed the ceiling and walls- I couldn't believe it. Their workmanship and attention to detail is impressive, they were always polite and cleaned up more than once a day so it wasn't as messy as I feared. It is obvious that experience, skill, time management and customer service are part of this company's philosophy. The kitchen has so much more storage space, the cabinets, countertop and backsplash are amazing. My neighbours and guests are very impressed with my new kitchen, they really like the soft close doors/drawers, the unique colour of the quartz countertop, the LED lights under the valance and cabinets and the cork flooring which looks seamless. They all raved about the magic corners which are awesome, I am so glad I got them. I have no hesitation in recommending K-Wood Kitchens.

I had a small 33 year old, out of code deck at the side entrance that needed to be replaced. I looked at composite decking but wasn't happy with the material/installation of the canopy. When I saw the high quality Craft-Bilt material I knew this was what I wanted. My experience dealing with Craft-Bilt from the initial contact with Sedat who provided the estimate through the completion of the project with Stephane and Jer has been first class. The crew was meticulous, they paid close attention to detail and cleaned up at the end of the day. The canopy was a bit of a challenge as the clearance over the door is very small. It doesn't block too much light into the kitchen which was a concern I had. The deck, railing and canopy have enhanced the curb appeal. A good testimonial comes from the nieghbours and many dog walkers who stopped to admire and comment on the deck and canopy. I have no hesitation in recommending Craft-Bilt for its unbeatable quality and value.
