Mud Monkeys did a full underpin of our detached home in Toronto - and did an incredible job. This was actually our second time working with them - we did a similar project about 12 years ago. When we moved and wanted to underpin our new home, we immediately wanted to work with them again. We did due diligence and got other quotes - but also had vendors give us bad advice in the process. In the end Mud Monkeys weren't the cheapest (but also not the most expensive) but it was worth the peace of mind to work with them. They are incredibly experienced, trustworthy and just decent people to work with. Darby and Nick lead their team with confidence and both are extremely responsive to any questions throughout the project. Their crews are respectful and friendly - all decent guys doing a really hard job. Underpinning is a huge job, and you need to trust your vendors to do the right thing, and you can trust these folks. Don't expect a major job like this to come without some level of dirt, disruption and noise - this is a MAJOR project. However this team at Mudmonkeys always did their best to minimize their impact on us while living in the home during this work. They went above and beyond to help us find vendors for related work (HVAC, plumbing etc) and making the schedule work around these other vendors. The work was completed to a high standard of quality and we are thrilled - again - with their work. I would not hesitate to recommend these folks in a heartbeat.

I called John in a panic, needing to have my gas line to my stove disconnected so my contractor could do some structural work in that area of my home. John answered my call and replied quickly, was onsite in just a few days, and did the work with no fuss or problems at a fair price. He was very professional and friendly, and I would not hesitate to work with him again. I am very grateful I found John and Sarman Air!

Aaron and his team removed a massive dying poplar tree from our very small yard. To be able to remove the tree, they needed to cut sections of the tree and use a crane to lift sections over our house to the front sidewalk. Once the tree was removed, they craned a stump grinder over the house to remove the stump. The crew was incredibly professional and worked very hard to get this job done in one day. I was absolutely impressed with their expertise, how friendly they were, and how they worked so well together. This was a very stressful event for us, and Aaron and his team made it easy and took care of everything on the day of the removal. They even checked in with the neighbours to ensure their yard didn't have any stray branches. This was a very difficult and complex job, and they handled it with professionalism and grace. Many of my neighbours have since commented on what a great job they did. I would not hesitate to recommend Aaron and his team again - amazing work.

We had Foam Comfort insulate our basement headers and our exterior walls (and some of our shared wall with our semi-detached neighbor). The service was very professional, the crew arrived on time and worked carefully in and around our house. We had the Air Krete product sprayed into our walls. There were a few places where it turned out it couldn't be applied due to existing insulation which they had informed us might happen. The work came in on budget. Overall we were very pleased with the service and the products. The Air Krete product we were especially excited about as it made for a relatively simple way for us to insulate our older home and also has some great additional benefits.

Stewart's team did the plumbing work in our basement when we had the basement lowered. They replaced all the basement drains, installed a sump pump and a backwater valve. They were easy to work with, friendly, and answered a few follow-up questions promptly. The work was done professionally and no problems with inspection. They even moved a section of our main stack to accommodate where a new bathroom shower stall would be installed -- they noticed this would be a problem and offered to move it, no charge. I'm very happy with their service and plan to call them back when we're ready to actually put in the new basement bathroom.

Almost one year ago, Darby and his team did exterior waterproofing on our 100+ year old semi in the Leslieville area. What professionals! Everything about the experience was great. They showed up on time, worked hard, kept everything as clean as possible, were respectful and friendly - all great. To give you an idea how non-disruptive the week long job was -- I gave birth at home to my baby mid-way through their job, and they didn't disturb me and the new baby at all. Sounds crazy to be waterproofing when a new baby is arriving, but they were fantastic and it was no problem at all. Last summer, we decided to underpin our basement. Darby's crew took care of everything, including all the inspections, scheduling the plumbing, and coordinating the crew. We were out of the house for most of the 6 week project, and simply called Darby every few days to see how it was going. He and his team took care of our house. If we hadn't had such a great experience with his team the previous fall, we never would have had the confidence to just leave our house with a group of contractors. But we knew his team would treat our home with respect. We loved the results and can't believe how different our basement feels. We've had a few folks in who work in the business who have commented on the professional job his team did. Very satisfied - I would not hesitate to contract Darby's team and would highly recommend them to anyone. Best contractor experience I have ever had.
