After getting quotes from a few places I hired TipTop to refinish the floors of a commercial space - 2600sq ft. - and I would definitely hire them again. Adrian and his crew were punctual, professional and thorough right from the begin to a follow-up at the end.

I hired GarCon to remove an internal load-bearing brick wall and to expand the window opening in an external wall. Adam was nice to deal with and the price was reasonable compared to other quotes. The crew was very polite and courteous and we stayed mostly on time and on budget. Unfortunately, this is one of those companies that you need to really keep your eye on. In the end everything got done, but I had to point out deficiencies and convince them to come back a few times. It would be good to hire a company that just does the best job and not because you are watching.

I will definitely hire Sobol again. Archie was great - very knowledgeable and patient during all our last minute changes. I am confident that Archie will always make sure the job is done right. I had another company make the hole in the wall for the window, because they were in doing some other renovations. My only regret is not hiring Sobol to do the entire job of making the hole and installing the window.

I would never hire Moncada again. One of the things I hired Moncada to do was to replace an external basement door. The guy who came to do the quote was great and I think the product is good, but, like other reviewers have experienced, once the installation started things went down hill. Besides the few minor issues that you will always have the one glaring problem I really wanted fixed was the way the door was installed. Moncada did not install a 2x4 frame to attach the door frame to. What this means is the door is held in place by little more then foam insulation. The hinges of this heavy, metal-clad door are attached to 3/4" soft pine with 3/4" screws !! When I checked one of the hinges I found that two of the screws were already stripped and doing nothing. The deadbolt is also going into nothing but 3/4 soft pine, so security is now an issue. I could probably break in with one or two good kicks. Moncada's own guys acknowledge that the installation was done incorrectly yet the owner will not fix it. I understand that these jobs are rarely perfect so I have given Anthony many opportunities to right a wrong - I have sent several emails and made many phone calls over the last 3 months. The trouble is we trusted them and paid them in full. Now, it is up to me to figure out how to keep this new door from falling off and how to keep someone from breaking in.

Thank you for your review. As you mention our installers did recognize there was a problem when they came to have a look at the door. However at the time the weather was very cold and we informed you that we would have to do these repairs once the weather was a little warmer.

Moncada Windows had every intention to service your door because we are not that kind of company who wants to leave anything unresolved. We are very sorry that you feel you have lost trust in our company and hope that in the end we did end up resolving your concerns when we returned, as we said we would.
