Bathroom and kitchen
I hired Oborne Contracting for a bathroom and kitchen project. I was extremely satisfied with all aspect of the work performed. They were extremely professional and the quality of work was excellent. They went above and beyond in answering any questions that I had. They were very knowledgeable and communicated every step of the project with me. I will definitely hire them for any future projects.

Saved My Bacon
Wow, Oborne Contracting saved my bacon! A new countertop and sink ready to be installed, but the old one was adhered with construction adhesive and the screws were inverted, oh and did I mention that the stainless steel back splash had to remain intact. A classic recipe for disaster. I hustled through the list of HomeStars contractors, John at Oborne sent Jeff the next morning, punctual, pleasant and delightfully optimistic that it could be done. After 20 man hours it was complete, and unbelievable neat and back on track.

Kitchen & Bathroom renovation
We hired Oborne Contracting Inc. for renovations to our kitchen, powder room and upstairs bathroom. From the quality of the work, the attention to detail, and communication during the project, everything was performed to the highest standard. Jeff, the lead on the project, was excellent at addressing all of our questions and managing the project to minimize the impact on the disruption in the household. They were also excellent at proposing cost effective solutions to other little minor jobs completed in the house.

New kitchen and miscellaneous renovations
We recently down-sized from a home to a condo in an older building. A good deal of work was required on a tight schedule. We had used Oborne Contracting previously and had no hesitation about proceeding without competition. John did not disappoint. His people were very competent, his trades were carefully selected and costs were reasonable. A good firm. They'll be around for a long time.

Bathroom reno
We had Oborne redo our aging upstairs bathroom, and it turned out fantastic. The obvious parts of the job (tiling the shower/floor) were done perfectly, but it's the attention to detail that really impresses me, including: * Levelling the floor where it has sagged * Very careful attention to ensuring waterproofing around the exterior window inside the shower stall * Consultation when little things come up (eg: new vanity doesn't centre perfectly underneath the lights, what to do about floor transition to hallway after old one couldn't be removed intact) * Very detailed contract, with all items of work called out, and checked off on the on-site copy as completed. This was my second time working with Oborne, and I will not hestitate to call them again.

Basement repair due to water damage.
I had water damage in my basement coming from the outside. I contacted Oborne Contracting and the owner was able to come over within an hour to assess the situation and provide recommendations. After speaking with and meeting a couple of other contractors I decided to go with Oborne Contracting. They were clear on explaining the work to be performed and completed it very well. They were punctual and very professional from start to finish. I would definitely use them again.

Basement renovation
I hired Oborne Contracting Inc to complete a basement overhaul on my 80 year old house as they gave me the greatest confidence that they knew what do to achieve a quality result that would stand the test of time. The true test of this company's commitment came a year after my renovation was over and I saw water leaking out from under the tiles into my furnace space. Within a few short hours, I heard from Jeff who was my day-to-day foreman. Jeff came out the following morning at 7am to diagnose the source of the water. Luckily for me, the water was coming from a recently installed washing machine and had nothing to do with my in floor radiant heating system. Having a quality renovation is important but the post renovation I received is what makes this company exceptional.

Cupboard door installation
We are very happy with the service and quality of work provided by Oborne Contracting. Their workers were on time and completed the work well. They took the time to clean up any mess after the work was completed. Would highly recommend this company to others.

Small home addition
We had a small mudroom and deck added to the back of the house. The finished addition looks fantastic. We found Oborne professional: everything properly documented and detailed. There were a few snafus along the way, but they were dealt with satisfactorily. Communication was good, as was follow up. Jeff (PM) was unflappable, and was great for us newbies to work with.

Basement bathroom renovation
Our original basement bathroom was a nightmare. A past owner decided to build a bathroom around the electrical panel. Seriously, you had to lean over the sink to change a fuse. John and his team tore out the old horrible bathroom and created a beautiful new bathroom with a separate electrical closet (including an updated panel). They brought everything up to code. The new space is gorgeous. They did everything on time, on budget, and as promised. Jeff was fantastic too and really took time to get all of the little details right. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Oborne Contracting to any of my friends.
