On 3 separate occasions John has done renovation work in our home work which included a complete new kitchen. The workmanship was excellent. We were aware that, on each project, he and his crew made a particular effort to contain dust, debris and confusion to the work area. I am a retired engineer having spent my entire career in building construction. Simply put, I'm pleased to recommend Oborne Contracting unequivocally.

John Oborne was a pleasure to deal with. He provided a very detailed quote. The project was not cheap, but was reasonable and backed by a detailed quote. The work was excellent and very timely. We discussed a range of projects and budgets and settled on the right improvement for us. John was able to find time to get the parts of the job most important to us into his schedule quickly. We are satisfied and would certainly use Oborne Contracting again.

I want to thank John and his crew of true professionals for providing us with a renovated home that we are so proud of and our friends rave about. Work performed: New ensuite bathroom, new kitchen, new powder room, new electrical throughout the house, new built-in master suite closets, new laundry room, new built-ins and mouldings/trim. John (the owner) is very good at communicating the day to day activities and kept us posted on their progress. They completed this renovation on time and ON BUDGET with minimum impact to our daily lives - the house was spotless each and every evening. The trade professionals were courteous and understanding of our needs. Their carpentry work is second to none. Through John's knowledge and skill, they were able to integrate new millwork and moldings into the existing work keeping the integrity of the original home with added modern convenience. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

A framing crew I had hired to frame my 2-story rear addition turned out to be incompetent and unprofessional costing me precious time and money. Upon a recommendation from Canadian Roofing Company, I called Oborne Contracting Inc. John Oborne and his crew are expedient, professional and most importantly, they took time out of their busy schedule to help me through the completion of the framing portion of my renovation. They worked quickly and efficiently to complete the framing I requested. John’s foreman Colin, a truly talented master of his trade, is very informative as he pointed out and fixed many deficiencies left by the previous framers. Oborne Contracting worked in a timely and professional manner – They are a pleasure to work with, and I would not hesitate in recommending them. Thanks John.

Super, super jobs over the years with splendid workmanship and to boot, always, always on time when promised. And, as for the owner/operator head honcho John Oborne? A great guy, with lots of knowledge and, not to be forgotten,a warm genuine personality, too. We have had no call-backs what-so-ever ... as every thing was done 100% 1st time around.

John Oborne is an absolute pleasure to work with. He is conscientious, meticulous and trustworthy. The three biggest concerns of clients are time, budget and quality. John has consistently delivered our jobs on time, on budget and the quality is outstanding. John has demonstrated time and time again that he has the client’s best interests at heart. While he will try to save you money whenever possible, he never sacrifices quality. We highly recommend him.

Although the job was relatively small (demolishing an existing closet and building a walk-in and regular closet to replace), John and his crew, especially Kolin amd Damian, treated it seriously and professionally. Everyone was polite, helpful and they did a great job. The project was on budget and there were no surprises! In addition to completing the current project, John spent considerable time answering questions and providing lots of helpful advice regarding some additional renovations (even though he was not involved in completing them!)

What a great bunch of guys! John and his team did our second story addition in 03’ on time and on budget. John saw the process through from design to the final brush stroke with attention to detail. His trades men were professional and clean. We felt comfortable calling john any time with any questions we had. John took the time to provide us with job and time line updates. We have had him back for an assortment of other jobs including water proofing and building us a beautiful deck, he makes time for all jobs big or small. John has a passion for his work that is very clear and without question we recommend Oborne Contracting.

we chose John based on several references of past customers, his portfolio of work, and quality of workmanship. we were not disappointed. The crew was always on time, always left the site in clean condition and made what could have been a very disruptive process bearable. The quality of the reno and final finish is excellent. John always had a fresh idea of how to solve any problem and explained the whole process in detail. He was amazing to work with and we felt that we got the best result in the end that we could have hoped for. Three years later our reno still looks great. I would not hesitate, and have not, to recommend John to anyone. On time, on budget and a pleasure to work with - what more can you ask for?
