We signed up with Brock to install 7 windows in our house in June 2015. They came to install in August but the arch window wasn't done properly. They came in without the top trim and I asked twice prior to the installation if it would be an issue installing the bottom trim first before they have the top trim. Both the administrator (Bright?) and installer said no issue. Sure enough, when they came back in September to finish up the top arch trim, both trims are not aligned. We called Brock many times, no response from the sales person, Dorian C nor his manager despite his assurance when selling us the windows saying we should call Brock and they will look after us... After some delay, North Star the manufacturer called and came to take a look. Both sides were pointing fingers to each other... After more delay, North Star said they will come to reinstall the window, yet still not done after 5 months since the first installation. We can't install the blind for that window, can't paint the wall for my daughter's room as we promised our daughter... The whole experience is very very disappointing. We were willing to pay more by choosing Brock thinking for better quality and service as compared to other companies... but we were wrong. This is just not right!

I needed a couple small basement windows for my basement reno and I am glad I went to Brock Windows. I went to the store in Scarborough. They were very professional and helpful. They did not feel like salespeople trying to upsell me on things I did not need. I actually asked about a couple things and they told me I did not need that for the type of windows I was getting. I picked the windows up and they were perfect. They went in easily and look great. I did not use their installation service as a friend did the install for me. I'll go back to Brock any time I need a new window.

We were referred to Brock Doors and Windows by friends of ours who had had their windows replaced by them. (Our window company does not do entry doors.) We researched several companies and obtained many quotes prior to contacting Brock, as we were looking to eliminate a side lite and centre the same size entry door (36") in the existing opening (48"), and having the resulting gaps on each side capped. Prior to contacting Brock, only two companies we contacted were willing to do the full scope of work, and we were not interested in coordinating the construction work on the opening separately from installation of the entry door. Our sales rep was Matthew. We found him great to deal with - he was responsive and knowledgeable. We began the process with Matthew during a 20% off sale, and he honoured that as we signed our quote shortly after the sale had ended. The price was very competitive for the quality of the door we received. We know this because we received a quote on the same Dorplex entry door from a major retailer during a door promotion for the same scope of work, and Brock easily beat their quote. As a result, we added a side entry door and a side garage door as well. The product we selected was a 36" full lite Dorplex door with Lisbon glass, and we paid to have it painted black inside and outside. We also paid Brock to complete the construction work to shrink the entry and to cap the exterior gaps. Interior work was rough finish (drywall only, no mudding/taping), but we agreed to that going in. Our side door is a half lite Dorplex door with Lisbon glass, and we also paid for it to be painted black inside and out. Our side garage door is an executive panel door factory painted black on the outside only. Lastly, we added an Emtek Melrose handleset with Merrimack lever in dark pewter for the main entry door only, and re-used our relatively new handlesets on the side and side garage doors. The price below reflects the total price for the three doors, one handleset, and HST. As additional interior finish work was required, we agreed that we would handle our own interior trim installation. Our post-sales contact was Angelyka. She was great to deal with as well. We were particularly impressed with how she handled an issue that arose when one of the installers noticed that our handleset backplate was scratched. My husband, who was supervising on site, called Angelyka, and she immediately said that she would order a new handleset to be installed upon its arrival, and in the meantime the installer would install the existing handleset until the new one arrived. No back-and-forth necessary. Our one quibble would be that it would have been more convenient to be provided with an e-mail address for Angelyka rather than a phone number and extension. (I do not recall ever being given an e-mail address for her.) That said, she was still very responsive to our enquiries. We did have some issues with the installers themselves. Some examples... My husband needed to remind the installers to put blocking at either side of the entry door in the gaps that were created by centering the door - the lead installer was going to leave the sides hollow behind the flashing. To his credit, the installer did not argue with my husband and did put in the blocking, but it's worth mentioning nonetheless. One installer was unable to install the handleset (it needed to be done by the lead installer). My husband had to point out to them where they had missed cleaning spray foam from one of the doors. Lastly, my husband had to scrape out additional wood from the dead bolt opening post-installation in order for the deadbolt to operate smoothly. Despite these issues, our experience with Brock was on the whole positive, and we would recommend them to others. We were very satisfied with the installation of this door. Stefan and his assistant, Frank, were very tidy laying drop sheets and sweeping and removing debris from our deck. Watching Stefan I could see that he took great care in every measurement and placement of material. He answered our questions in a professional manner.

I recently bought a Victorian Home. Its beautiful and has lots of character. But it had the original front entry door which allowed a cool draft into the home between the frame and door. After reading other reviews and being a previous Brock Windows and Doors customer I had them quote me. It was the easiest process I've experienced from a customers standpoint in years. Their service included a prompt response, a professional representative at my door (Salesman Mike Jr) to take measurements/provide options and give direction. Once we decided on the perfect door and hardware, the installation date came soon. Nick and his crew were skillful and were obviously well experienced. The age of the home and unique design presented a few challenges but Nicks team had the old door removed and new installed in just a few hours. The same evening I had a call from Mike Jr to ensure I was satisfied with the installation. I can't thank the team at Brock Windows and Doors enough for the beautiful front entry I now have. We had Brock install both a new front door and side garage door. Phil came to our home for a consultation and was extremely helpful in assisting us with our selection of doors, providing invaluable advice on colour, style and material. Phil's experience, professionalism and knowledge allowed us to select a product that complemented our landscaping and house facade. Phil and his skilled team worked tirelessly to install the doors by Christmas and the final product and craftsmanship exceeded our expectations. I signed a contract to replace all my windows with this company in July with the sales person, Sandy, who is knowledgeable. And then an installation guy, Zoran, came to my house to have an accurate measurement for each window. The Brock company follow the schedule very well. I really appreciated the installation guys, Zoran team, they are very professional, they focused on most of the small details, they made two half-moon aluminium vents, which are out of my expectation. I will give Zoran's work a score 10, the quality of the window also a score 10, except the price is a little high compared with other company. Till now, 3 months passed, every thing is perfect. totally I will give The Brock a 9.5 point, and recommended strongly.

I entered into a contract with Brock Doors and Windows to replace 8 windows and my front entry door during early February of 2015 along with a $4,000 deposit on a $12,000 job. I had specified an install date of late April. By early April, I had not heard from the company and I called them to find out when the install was scheduled for. After some delay, I was told the windows and door had not been ordered due to an internal administrative error and the earliest install would be June. After this confidence inspiring event, I cancelled the window order and scheduled the door install for October to suit my schedule. The door installation finally took place the first week of November and after this experience, I feel fortunate that I cancelled the window order. While being installed, I noticed the caming in the door glass was the wrong colour, nickel instead of black. Brock blamed this on the manufacturer (Dorplex) who after two weeks sent a technician to my home who agreed with me (it was quite obvious). I pointed out a gap in the weather strip to the technician from Dorplex and he noted the door was installed out of plumb. The door is supposed to be energy star rated, but being 3/8 out of plumb, the weather strip does not contact on the upper edge. Hardly energy efficient. The only way to rectify this is to re-install the door. I now have an install date of mid January. Also, during the installation, the installers cracked and chipped the interior molding, a section of which was custom formed, and proceeded to use caulking to fill the holes. Needless to say, the entire experience has been a disaster and I would never, ever use this company again or recommend them to anyone.

Being in our home for over 17 years it was time to replace the builder units. they were drafty and would build up condensation in cold months. we chose Brock for its reputation for quality and long established business. Our first contact was with Salesperson Bill. he gladly spent the evening assessing our needs and educated us on what to look for in purchasing windows. showing us samples and how their manufacturers products are better. Shortly after we decided a service co-ordinator contacted us and gave us an installation date. Date was as promised around the 10 week period. on the day of the installation a 1 person crew came in and completed 7 windows. trim work was clean caulked and ready for paint. installer explained how to use windows. Crew worked carefully around carpeted areas laying down drop cloths . after job was done, areas were fully vacumned. Our experience has been great and we are now enjoying quality windows that will last a long time. windows are serial numbered so if you ever need to replace a pane they will have all the measurements already.
