I had A-1 Quality Chimney cleanup my wood burning fireplace and chimney (inside) and the gentleman who came in was very professional, cleaned everything without making any mess, then took the time to explain to me exactly what steps I should follow in order to have a safe fire in my house. I was so impressed that I actually booked a second appointment to have my gas fireplace cleaned up. Another technician showed up, a subcontractor, also very professional. I was very happy with the quality of service. In fact I used the gas fireplace during the recent ice storm for the one night when we did not have power in the house and there was no gas leak or any other problem. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone.

I spoke to a very nice person at A-1 and their customer service was amazing. I had never had my chimney done before and they were very polite and handled all my questions. Right away we set up an appointment. The man who arrived was amazing and very clean. He didn't leave a trace of ash. After the amazing experience they amazed me with a follow up phone call asking how my experience was, which was amazing. I am going to recommend A-1 to my friends and family and will have them clean my chimney again next year.

I've been using A1 to clean my chimney at my house in Cabbagetown for many years and they are the most professional and have the best rates in the city. My wife and I have always relied on them. We recently moved to a condo downtown that has a wood burning fireplace and I figured the condo corp was going to deal with the fireplace. They don't and even told me not to use it, despite the fact that that's one of the major reasons we got the condo! I called A1 and they came right over. Even though it is a much higher chimney (they have to sweep 4 floors upward), they did it for the same rate as usual! They provided an inspection report that I showed to the condo corp and my wife and I have been enjoying it all through the holidays. Thanks again for the great service guys!

I wish I could find other home service providers that are as professional, courteous and friendly as A1 Quality Chimney. I had the pleasure of having Jeff, A1’s dedicated gas fireplace specialist visit my home to sweep out and repair my gas fireplace that had not worked since I moved into my house over two years ago. He was able to come on a Saturday morning, which was the only time that was convenient for me. Previously, two other home service professionals could not figure out the problem. In a matter of 15 minutes, Jeff diagnosed the problem. He then did a thorough cleaning of the fireplace. The required part to complete the repair was ordered and Jeff was back the following Saturday to install it. Finally I have a working gas fireplace! Jeff’s level of professionalism far exceeds most other service people that have done work in my home. Everything was put back in its proper place and not a speck of dirt was left behind. I must give a special mention to Kelley, A1’s friendly customer service rep. On the day of my appointment, Toronto received a HUGE helping of snow, and Kelley called me at home to let me know that Jeff would be running behind. Most other home services providers are late on a sunny and clear day with no phone call whatsoever, so this was VERY impressive. Thanks A1 Quality Chimney, and I will certainly recommend your company with confidence any time I hear that friends or family may require chimney and fireplace services.

We hadn't used the fireplace in 10-12 years, as my son had been living in that room. We were previously using it and had regular cleanings done. So I figured we should clean it before using it this year. When Shawn came over, he found a huge amount of soot and creosote on the smoke shelf and in the flue and it looked like it had never been cleaned! He was extremely thorough and professional. When he finished, he didn't leave a speck of soot anywhere. He vacuumed up the hearth and the mantle and did an excellent job. I will definitely be calling them again next year.

They were excellent! The technician, Shawn, arrived on time, was competent, friendly, and took the time to explain (it was the first time I had a chimney cleaned). He did great work, no mess either.I had TWO chimneys cleaned, and as a homeowner I couldn't have asked for more.Their rate was good too! I'd recommend them.

Superb Company. This is the only A1 Quality Chimney Company to call. Bob the owner is brilliant, he does a superb job training his chimney sweeps, their work is superb. CONSUMERS beware of another company posing as this company. I was fooled- make sure you're using Bob's company and staff only- A1 Quality Chimney- they are great

First time having my chimney cleaned. I called A-1 and the over the phone customer service was excellent. Extremely polite and answered all my questions. An appointment was scheduled immediately. The gentleman who came was fantastic and I couldn't believe how clean he was. Not a speck of ash left anywhere. I also received a follow up phone call afterwards asking how my experience was...WOW. I will absolutely recommend A-1 to friends and family and will call them again next year.

I recently moved into an old home with a wood stove and a wood fireplace that had not been serviced or cleaned for years. A-1 Quality Chimney came and cleaned them, thoroughly checked them, and they passed inspection for my insurance company. Now my family and I can enjoy them with peace of mind. Thanks A-1!!!

We had our chimney and wood stove cleaned and inspected and were very happy with the service we received. My husband felt very comfortable using the wood stove once he received a lesson on how to use it safely (we moved in a few years ago and never touched it before). We even had the liner of our gas boiler chimney checked as well. Thanks for the great service!
