    Service

    Very quick service. James was informative, polite and loves dogs! I called at 330a and someone answered, I was ready to leave a message. Service and meeting with a sales rep in the same day, very happy with the quick service. Well done!

    installation of anti-vibration pads.

    James was very polite. He installed the antivibration pads and willingly answered many questions I had. After the pads were installed, he verified the effectiveness by lowering the temperature on the home thermostat. He demonstrated high work ethic and professionalism.

    Honest and Professional!

    Cyrus was fantastic to work with! Honest, polite, professional. I couldnt be happier with the service I received and his professionalism. Will request Cyrus any chance I get if we need someone to come out. Thank you!

    James was very knowledgeable and gave me clear advice on how best to set my thermostat. He modified my fan settings so they fixed a few issues I was experiencing.

    Severe misdiagnosis nearly lead to huge outlay

    On the weekend of June 10, our air conditioner was not working. The compressor fan was not spinning. I called Aire One, who'd originally installed it in 2003. They were able to get a service person out fairly quickly (Monday the 12th). Cyrus came to the house and was friendly and polite. Within 5 minutes (that's generous) he had "diagnosed" the problem as a seized compressor and disappeared into his truck to find out how much a new one would cost. He came back with a quote that was close to $2000, but said that I'd be better of with a whole new AC unit. He added that the furnace was old, too, and there were good rebates available, so I should maybe buy a package. He offered to set up a meeting with a sales person for later that day. I accepted. The salesperson never showed. Later _he_ called with an apology that the message had been lost and he could meet at our convenience. Fortunately, my wife was suspicious. She saw Greg's review from jut a view days before (https://homestars.com/companies/194358-aire-one-heating-cooling/reviews/562635) and thought our situation sounded familiar. We called another company to send a technician out for a second opinion. On the way to the AC unit, he guessed "sounds like a blown capacitor". He opened the unit, and showed me the capacitor. It looked like a pop can with one end bulging out. He happened to have a replacement. He popped it in, ran a few bonus tests, and was off. My cost? $248. Now, after having seen a blown capacitor, I am confident that I could diagnose this problem myself. There is no reason why Cyrus, an HVAC professional, would not be able to. I'm not sure whether he just forgot to look (again, this seems to be a common problem, so how?) or whether he chose not to look. After my AC was repaired by the other company, I called Aire One to complain. In their defence (and the only reason they get 2 stars out of this) is that Brady listened to my complaint and said that he'd issue a refund for the cost of the service call. The cheque was in my mailbox about a week later.

We have spoken at length with Cyrus and his notes ensure that the capacitor was in tack. High amp drop of compressors can cause capacitors to blow. The capacitor must disengage after a few seconds or it will overheat and a compressor or fan motor that drags due to damage or worn bearings might cause the capacitor to burn up. We understand how frustrating this can be and we have already gone ahead and sent you a refund cheque. We truly apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

    Furnace and AC Replacement

    When our ac broke down I was so impressed by Aire Ones prompt and efficient service. It turned out that it made more sense to replace our older furnace and ac with new more efficient models. Our sales consultant took the time to explain and answer all of our questions. He was so informative. We only waited 1 day to have our new units installed. Our installers Eric S and Tariq were awesome. They were both so friendly and explained the operation of our new units. They left the basement so clean as well. I will recommend Aire One. Thank you Aire One for everything.

    New furnace and ac

    Just purchased a new furnace and air conditioner and it was installed yesterday. Installers Warren and Bill were very professional and knowledgeable. Did a fantastic job and made sure I was comfortable with how everything works. I would definitely recommend them. New system has only been running one day, but working great so far. Thank you.

    Had aire one come and service my new ac unit. The service man James was great. Went over the system and how to use my new thermostat. Thanks for the fast and great service

    A/C Down and Out

    Great service… A/C was down, Cyrus was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was able to diagnose and explain the problem efficiently and effectively. Great to have cool air again after replacing the needed part. Thanks Philip.

    Service was very good today from James. Knowledgeable and very friendly as always. Had service from him before and we are very satisfied! Would recommend James and Aire One to anyone that could use your services.
