I recently bought an older house in East York and needed the asbestos pipe insulation removed before I can continue with other renovations in the basement. I contacted Amosite who was referred to me by a contractor and Dave came over promptly the very next morning. He was very knowledgeable, pleasant to talk to and provided me with a step-by-step procedure for the removal and disposal of hazardous material. I had received another quote for the work, but after talking with Dave I felt very confident in making an informed decision to hire Amosite for the job. Dave and his crew came over on the same day I called to hire him for the job and the work was completed on the same day. Thanks for a job well done Amosite. I won't hesitate to recommend this company to whoever needs similar work done.

Due to its high Homestar ratings, I called Amosite for a second opinion after another abatement company did a terrible asbestos removal job in my home. This company left my basement looking like it had been ransacked. They ripped open my ceiling, left asbestos, and left a big mess everywhere. Now my electricians were refusing to work because they were concerned that the abatement was not done properly or safely. Amosite immediately came to my rescue . David was like my guardian angel, as he was immediately professional and helpful spending time to explain the "asbestos/abatement world" to me. After coming over the next day with Nils and noticed the job was done sloppily, he told me he would act as my consultant ( and he felt like a caring uncle) and use his knowledge of Ministry of Labour safety requirements, (like mandatory disposal certification and MTCU Certification for licensed abatement specialists ), to suggest to Skyrac to basically come back to my basement to clean up their mess, with David overseeing the whole process. In overseeing the work, David would show up unannounced to make sure Skyrac was using the proper procedures. like the negative air scrub, to make sure the job was done right. He would then not only conduct the air sample test to make sure my home was safe, he would then ask them to pay for it! ( Note: Abatement companies are obligated to do air sample tests after each abatement as part of safety standards which many companies don't bother doing.) In other words, my payment to Skyrac should have already included an air sample test at the end of the job and since they did not do one, they were now paying David for doing it! (In essence part of my original payment for the job/air sample test (which they were going to pocket) to David for conducting the test). David sent the air sample test to me a the next day and it showed that the air was within safe limits. David was extremely professional, helpful, punctual, amazing. He was completely on my side, like family, in helping me resolve my problem and make sure my home was safe and the asbestos was removed all while not asking for any additional payment from me! (Wisely making sure the original company who took all my money was the one to transfer payment to him for the air sample test). I cannot thank David enough! After having a home inspection done on our property, we were informed that we had asbestos tile in our basement. Needless to say I was totally panicked and eager to have it removed asap. I called several companies but chose Amosite - David was extremely informative on our first call and sent Niall to review the area on the same day. I was able to book time almost immediately. Dylan and Zenon were amazing - early(!), friendly, very competent and super clean. The price was very reasonable. I would 100% recommend the Amosite team.

I would like to add to the chorus of very satisfied customers of Amosite. Niall, Zenon and Dylan did a thorough, meticulous job of removing asbestos from my attic and a great job of clean up afterwards. David brought the project in on budget and in a timely manner. Dave and the crew arrived at 8am sharp, and got right to work. The crew were all very friendly, intelligent, and Dylan was a standout. Polite, friendly, helpful - just great. I found the operation non-invasive, and painfree - I was home all day. Very happy.

If you have any asbestos issues, call Amosite first. David came out, assessed the situation and gave me a fair, honest and professional opinion on what to do. He gives you the options for removal of asbestos or leaving it alone and puts your mind at rest. Other companies came and quoted thousands of dollars for something that did not need removing. I highly recommend them.

I totally recommend Amosite for oil tank and oil furnace removal. When Dave, Dylan and Stefan arrived, they knew it was an emergency (we were out of oil) and they also knew that the removal and instal needed to be done in a day because it was freezing outside. They worked quickly and carefully and cleaned the area after they were done. They even went above and beyond helping me clear stuff that hadn't been removed prior to their arrival! They were a pleasure to work with.

It was a great pleasure working with David and his apprentices, Dylan and Nyle. My reputable HVAC company highly recommended them and only works with Amosite. They arrived promptly at 7AM and were finished within an hour. I immediately knew I was in good hands just in the way David carried himself and how much care he put into the work. You know people care when they put in the effort to ensure their apprentices learn from their knowledge and experience. David explained how my current boiler system worked and what they needed to do to remove to make available for gas conversion. In addition, David took a quick look to see if I had any existing asbestos on my pipes or radiators. He explained to me what to look for should I be worried about having it in the house. David is very knowledgeable and I learned a lot within that few minutes of talking with him. Would definitely recommend him and his crew to anyone.
