New Lennox Furnace & AC
I joined HomeStarts just to post this review, as Applewood AC has been amazing to deal with during the entire process. They were not the first company that I reached out to when looking to replace my HVAC system. However dealing with Shelley was easier, faster, less pressure and had better pricing than the 2-3 other companies with the "green trucks" (which I have found out are all owned by the same parent company). Shelley listened to my requirements over the phone, gave me a short sales pitch on why Applewood (not the 1-2 hours that the other guys do), promised & promptly delivered a quote with descriptions, part numbers, line item pricing, and options. She dealt with my multiple followup questions by email until I was completely satisfied. There was no up-selling of other services, maintenance agreements, different/additional systems, or replacing anything else that those other companies were pushing me to buy, and I did not have to make a decision on the spot to even receive the pricing. All of this was a big plus for me because my current HVAC system was still operational, so I was not in a rush to make a decision, and those other companies would not provide detailed pricing without me placing the order while they were at the kitchen table (up-selling me using every trick in the book). When it was Shelley's turn to do the site visit, she arrived with everything already properly documented, and only needed to review the items and take final measurements. For this, I did not feel that any of my time was wasted. The two installers (Dan and Kevin) arrived on-time on the date that I asked for the installation to be completed, and were wonderful to have in my house. They both knew what they had to do, spent lots of time with me discussing the new system, and informed me of what was being completed inside and out. They was cautious when removing the old system, cleaned up everything, accommodated as best they could with a request for the floor drain, and made both the inside and outside equipment & vents look perfect. I was very please with the installation, and love this new system. The volume of heated air flowing through the house using the 2-stage furnace if far better than what the old system could provide, and I am just waiting for the outside temperature to warm up enough to properly test the AC to its fullest.
