Review left on 2 Jun 2026Rating: 1 out of 5Repair or maintain airconditioning: Townhouse; Not sureUnfortunately very poor experience. Was told we had a refrigerant leak during the first heat wave of the year and that entire system including air handler needed to be replaced. Quoted over $13K for a replacement which we agreed to. On the day of the install 2 days later, they said our stairs were too narrow and that they would need to get a boom instead. Not sure how this wasn’t addressed when the initial assessment was done. Waited patiently for several days to learn a boom would be an extra $2-4K that I would have to pay the majority of.. They then offered to send someone else for a special assessment for a heat pump but I lost confidence by then. 10+ days after they sold me the AC unit I still had nothing and suffered through 2 heatwaves. I asked for a refund of my initial diagnostic fee back and some compensation for taking time off, having to buy a portable AC, etc. but the managers have since stopped responding to me.. very very disappointing experience.Answer from pro:

For years our third floor was unusable in the summer as it was just too hot. The Technicians who came were very professional, fast and did not leave any mess behind. We have had a few days of heat since and the upstairs has been wonderfully cool. I would recommend their services.Answer from pro:

Review left on 10 May 2026Rating: 2 out of 5Install or replace gas systems and pipesTimely and informative tech visited me on a Sunday and diagnosed a failed water heater control valve. Replacement part cost for a new control valve was quoted at $1800 + installation + HST and a recommendation to consider replacing enter water heater was suggested -- $2500+. $225 was paid for the visit. I ended up finding another tech who troubleshot, ordered and successfully installed the same new control for $700 all in! Atlas is now owned by Gryphon Partners (US Private Equity). I would avoid at all costs given the ridiculous overcharging and go with a quality independent.Answer from pro:
Hi Michael, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear about your experience and understand your concerns regarding the quoted pricing and recommendations provided during the visit. Our management team will be reaching out to review this with you directly. If you have any additional concerns in the meantime, please feel free to contact us.
