Better Contracting sent a helpful, friendly and hardworking employee to help us remove the lumber from our old shed. We live downtown so space is tight, and parking is tight. He was really great and it took no time at all.

When we renovated our kitchen, the exhaust fan vent needed to be moved on the roof. Mike Graves, who did the roof 2 years ago, sent Jorge out and he did a great job. He carefully filled the hole where the vent had been, matching the shingles to the existing ones, and installed the correct-sized vent right above the stove. A very tidy job.

I needed a new roof and priced out several companies before deciding to go with Better Contracting. Mike and his crew were professional and responded quickly to any questions I had. They did a great job with my roof for a fair price. Keep it up guys- I will gladly recommend you to others!

Just had my roof re-shingled. Looks impeccable. Terrific crew spent 2 full days working hard and left everything spotless. Very respectful to my townhome neighbours. Also office and scheduling staff helpful.

Six years ago we had our whole roof and underlay replaced by Better Contracting. The other day our chimney cap blew off and I called Better Contracting. Jan the Ops Mgr sent a fellow over within a day took some photos advised me that the clay pipe on the top needed replacing. There was no charge as they did not do that kind of work. Much Appreciated!

I've been using Better Contracting for my roofing needs for years. I have an old Victorian home and I had water coming in from everywhere. I had one peak and two flat roofs done. Recently I had some water coming in from one of the flat roofs and called Better to investigate. They noticed that some damage was created probably by raccoons or squirrels. Not only did they come out the next day to inspect but also repaired it at NO COST to me even though the damage was created by outside sources. They are super great and reliable.

We moved into our new home and our contractor advised us to have our roof done because of our uneven ceiling. We have floor to ceiling glass showers, we need somebody that know what they are doing. Our contractor told us that if the roofers are not gentle, there is a risk that our shower can shatter. Better Contracting Services came over and inspect the roof and skylight. They went through the different options we have and also gave us quotes for everything. Mike and Josh took their time to give us the information to consider. There was no sales pressure just all the facts. After seeking out other roofers’ quotes, we decided to go with Better Contracting Services. We are so happy we did. The installation was clean and the crew was efficient. We weren’t home during the installation but our contactor told us that the roofers were very professional and conscientious when they were there. Everything went perfectly. I am very confident that our new roof is done right and it will be trouble free for at least 20 years. Thank you Josh and Mike for all your help. You have our recommendation.

I had a leak in my roof of my 1.5 story house that was leaking into the main floor living room. I contacted Mike at Better Contracting and they were able to come out 2 days later. They provided me a quote over the phone of it taking the full hour minimum fee of $500, and I said lets do it. They came by 2 days later and took just over the quoted hour, but never increased the prices. The work was done very well, and there was no mess left behind. The two workers were very nice and explained everything to me. They recommended that I look into a new roof soon, but didn't push for it in anyways and even said I could wait another couple years. They explained what they saw underneath the shingles while replacing the shingles, and explained how a new roof would also benefit me for insulation as well. Overall it was a perfect experience and it's rained and snowed a few times since and we've had zero problems. Attached is a picture of the before (what I sent them).

Mike Graves and his crews is top notch. The work they did on my flat roof is impressive. They finished on time and cleaned up every day after themselves. Mike and Josh kept us inform of everything, there is absolutely no surprises. We needed to get the roof done as soon as possible and we didn’t have time to let our neighbors know ahead of time. As it turns out, Mike’s crew needed to situate their ladder partly in my neighbors’ yard. I was a little worry when I heard about that. Afterwards, I was relieved when I spoke to my neighbors, they told me that Mike’s crew has asked them politely beforehand and they were very professional and tidy up after themselves. There are a lot of roofers out there, but I am so glad I went with Mike.

Hello Mike: I just wanted to send you this note to let you know how pleased I have been with the services from Jan Blechta, Rose and the roofing “team” who came to my “rescue” last week. I had experienced 2 leaks in my roof during the Christmas holidays, and frantically contacted 6 different roofing companies. Four never called me, one called to tell me that my home was too small a job and “not worth their while”, and Jan called and emailed me a quote. Jan was extremely patient with me and understanding during my inquiries and concerns (various emails) about the work in progress. Rose’s telephone manner projects the warmth and sincerity that a customer likes to feel, when hiring and paying for a service/product. Finally, the roofing "team” did a fantastic job of tidying up after their finished replacing the roof, including clearing off both my upper and lower decking in the backyard (not an easy feat as they could only access the yard by going over the roof the home). I sincerely thank all of you, especially since I can now breath a sign of relief, knowing my home is safe from damage. Gail Mercer
