    Home Inspection

First home inspection. Walked us through exterior/interior of the house. Took time to discuss potential issues and how to resolve them. Took 75 pictures of the house and presented report after end of 3 hour inspection. Very casual & felt comfortable asking any question no matter how major/minor. Very approachable and personable person too. Well worth the time and money!

Thank you so much for the kind words and review Mike and Doreen !!! It is much appreciated ! I do like to send pictures to you because let's be honest, I'm not going to remember the home, and I doubt you will remember everything either. So it benefits us both. Yes, I tell people, PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS !!! Asking questions helps me, to help you! I tell people, pull me away to show me the issue, interupt me, ask the same question ten times ! Please ! You're not bothering me! Anyways, again, thank you so much for the review and thank you for choosing Classic Home Inspections!!!

    home inspection

Brent was friendly and courteous since the initial phone call. Inspection lasted 3 hours as promised. No stone left unturned. He made some good recommendations (ie. storm door for the balcony) He provided a written report on the spot. He took his time and answered all my questions. Good Price. Good inspection. Good service. Highly recommended.

It means a lot to me when people (such as yourself) are happy with the inspection. All I can say is that I try. Yes, I do give advice when I see a potential problem, such as installing a screen door that I know will save you some aggravation. Please always feel free to contact me ! Thanks again, and thank you for choosing Classic Home Inspections!!!

    Home Inspection

Brent from Classic Home Inspections, has proven to be a reliable, informative, personable and professional home inspector. He arrived at my appointment right on time (11:00 a.m.), and was ready to work. He showed me all aspects of the home and was eager to educate me on any items I was unsure about. He was very personable and very knowledgeable about all aspects of the home. He pointed out any safety concerns and was open, frank and honest. I have had many home inspections in the past and he is the best I have had thus far. I plan to continue to use Brent's services and confirm, he does live up to his Home Stars Reputation. I endorse Brent's work and business. Great Job!

Thank you so much for the kind words and feedback Patrick !!! I truely appreciate when people take the time to leave feedback. It means a lot to me. I am glad that you happy with the inspection. A home inspector should be educating people about the home. Not just telling them a bunch of problems. When people are enthusatic about a home as much as you were, then it rubs off onto me. Therefore, making a much more interesting home inspection for the both of us. It's nice when people such as yourself bring that great attitude. Anyways, thanks again Patrick, and thank you for choosing Classic Home Inspections!!!

    Home Inspection

Brent was very professional and informative, he took the time to explain things to us thoroughly and was very practical with offering solutions. He provided a great service to us and being first time home buyers, he really helped to make us feel more comfortable with the home buying process. Thanks again Brent!!!

Thank you so much for the kind words and review BK in the Danforth Village!!! What an absolute gem of a home that was!!! I wish my first home was like that!!! I do try and offer practical solutions when possible. Some home inspectors like to justify their job by making a big deal out of things, it makes them seem like some kind of a hero or something. In so many cases, there are simple fixes. No, I don't downplay things, it just seems to me that a lot of common sense on certain things have gone out the window. A lot of home inspectors who have no idea what they are talking about like to be a little more dramatic. I try not to be one of them. Thanks again BK, enjoy the home, and thank you for choosing Classic Home Inspections!!!

    Home Inspection

We had Brent come to our new home and complete a pre purchase inspection. He took his time and went over every inch of the place, inside and out. I felt his advice was balanced, not too inclined to advise rip out and replace when a paint job would do. Most importantly, when small issues were found he gave us options. He was great, and I have and will continue to recommend him highly.

    Answer from pro:

Thank you so much for the feedback Daryl!!! It is truely appreciated!!! Daryl, an inspector SHOULD be going over every square inch of the home!!! Anything less is just a short cut. Let's face it, spending so much money on a home, the last thing a person should get is a lousy home inspection. How many times do I hear people say, " man, this guy is thorough". I would hope all inspectors are this thorough!!! Apparently they're not! Anwway, in the end, all that matters to me is that you are happy. Thank you so much Daryl, and thank you for choosing Classic Home Inspections!!!

    Home Inspection

My husband and I bought quite a large house very quickly in a neighbourhood where there are very few sales. We made the decision the same day we saw the house and I was terrified that we had bought a potential money pit. Brent came so highly recommended on this site, I e-mailed him to set up an appointment on very short notice. He was very prompt and curtious in responding and arrived at the house early. He did an amazingly thorough job for such a large house (3100 sq feet plus finished basement). He answered all my questions and identified all the potentially expensive problems - luckily not many - and all the ones that are minor and more esthetic. He pointed out some of the easy fixes to ensure that outside water infiltration is dealt with. The real estate agent was impressed as well and will be speaking with the owner to see if we can get some financial concessions to make some repairs prior to closing. I am extremely pleased and have a large load off my shoulders since it seems we made a good buy with this house. I would recommend Brent. If she leaves the deer head, I'll let you know.

Thank you so much for the review and kind words Irene! A beauty of a home in Brampton! At least I thought it was. Yes, as you will read here and in other comments that I have made, I try and make it an experience. A home inspection is not just some guy (or lady) going in to find a bunch of problems with a home. It's someone going in to help you understand the home. There will be good things with it, bad things with it, and somewhere in between. The home inspectors goal should be to have you understand everything. I'm glad that I was of help! Please, let me know if the dears head is available. Who doesn't need a dears head on their wall! ;-) Thanks Irene, and thank you for choosing Classic Home Inspections!

    Home Inspection

Today we have Brent inspected my newly purchased 10 yr old townhouse. He was professional, responsible and knowledgable. He took the time to explain to me everything I need to watch for in the house, he even taught me how to maintain the house! It was absolutely educational for a home newbie like me. Most importantly, he was very detail oriented to go through every part of the house. And he found a water leakage in the basement and the attic! Brent would even promise to come back to re-check the problem area after it's fixed with no charge! Excellent customer service! Me and my finance were so thankful to have Brent looked at the house. Now the seller is willing to fix the problem at their cost. Brent is someone you can trust for an independent inspection, he will tell you the facts and problems and will not be influenced by the real estate agents. This kind of integrity is something money can't buy. See the pictures for the water leakage.

Thank you so much for the kind words and review Martin! It is much appreciated! I am glad that you were happy with the inspection. It means a lot to me when people tell me this. You make an interesting comment about real estate agents. It's the ongoing argument as to if one should use their agents inspector or not. Well, this is what I can tell you, do I work with agents? yes I do. Do they also understand that I may "kill" the deal for them, yes they do! I simply feel this, the person who hires me and who is paying the bill is the one I give answers to, no one else. I tell it like it is. I am not an alarmist, I try and give economical solutions when possible, and believe that not everything needs to be fixed with a bulldozer like the guy on tv. I try to be as practical as possible. In the end, all that matters to me is that you are happy with the inspection and completely clear on the home. Thanks again Martin! Thank you for choosing Classic Home Inspections!!!

    Condo PDI

Brent accompanied us on our PDI for a new construction condo. We are first-time buyers and it was great to have someone with us at the inspection who knew what to look for and who was so thorough and helpful. All of our contact with Brent prior to the inspection was prompt, friendly and professional. Brent was very detailed and patient at the inspection, answering all of our questions and communicating very well with the builder's representative. It was really helpful to have his eyes and his opinion as we registered deficiencies with the builder, and he caught several items that neither we nor the builder's representative had noted. We would definitely recommend his services to anyone in a similar situation!

    Answer from pro:

Thank you so much for the review and kind words Tyler! It is much appreciated!!! Ahhh condo's, they can always make it interesting! Yes, they too can have their problems. Fortunetely, your's wasn't too bad at all. Some other units that I have inspected in that Condo complex, Yikes! I always tell people about the PDI, please understand the builders representative is not an inspector, they are a representative who is there to describe the home to you. They certainly don't want to write up a bunch of stuff! Anyways, thanks again and I'll look for you about town blowin' the horn on one of your gigs! Thanks for choosing Classic Home Inspections!

    Home inspection

Brent performed the home inspection for us in early January/2010. He is quite knowledgeable in his field and is really down to earth and easy to work with. He is thorough and has a willingness to educate the home owner during the entire inspection process. To sum up, Classic Home Inspections provided an exceptionally high level of customer and home inspection service and is very deserving of the high rating. Brent - Thanks again for all your help and I will definitely give you a call if I decide to sale my 68 vespa.

    Answer from pro:

Ha ha ha !!! Could you imagine the home inspector showing up in a '68 Vespa! Now that would be CLASSIC!!! I wonder if there's little trailers to pull my ladders on??? I would be the "MOD" home inspector. (for those who don't know what "mod" is ... pre-punk with just as much anger)Anyway, thank you so much for the review and kind words! I am truly glad that you were happy with the inspection. All I can say is that I try my best. Thanks again, and thank you for choosing Classic Home Inspections!
