    Home inspection

We had Brent do our home inspection for us back in the spring. He was friendly and professional and gave us a very through analysis of what was right and wrong with the house. So far everything he has mentioned is right on the dime. Brent not only delivered great service but he also made himself available for any post inspection questions. We have contacted him a couple of times since and each time he got back to us quickly. Great job Brent!

    Answer from pro:

Thank you so much for the feedback Paul and Sheila!!! It is much appreciated ! I see these reviews that people leave (such as yourself) and I view it like when a person goes into his/her bosses office to get the quarterly review on their proformance. Ultimately when people hire me, I am working for them, and I need to know what they think. I would think you would want to know every little detail regarding the home. When possible, I try and give people economical ways to repair/ replace things. It's not always possible, but in many cases it is. It means a lot to me when people take the time to write a review. I'm glad that you are happy with the inspection. Thank you for choosing Classic Home Inspections !!!

    Home inspection

We've been in our new home (a resale) for a year and a half and thanks to Brent, there have been no unpleasant surprises. I still remember how he took his time to cover every aspect of our 20 year old house. On a somewhat sentimental note, I also appreciate how patient he was with my father (now deceased). What a knowledgeable, kindhearted man. Thank you, Brent.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave feedback. It is much appreciated! After reading this review, I wasn't even sure how to respond. I remember your father. he was a true gentleman. Then I thought to myself how fast time truely passes us by. It really didn't seem that long ago when I had done that inspection. My sympathy goes to you and your family. I'm glad that you were happy with the inspection. Please, always feel free to contact me if you ever have a question regarding your home. Take care for now and thank you for the kind words...Brent.

    Home Inspection

Being a first-time home buyer, it was comforting to know that Brent did a thorough and meticulous inspection of our home. He outlined the items that we needed to address in a organized and simple-to-read binder.

    Answer from pro:

Thank you for the feedback Jerry ! It is much appreciated. Jerry, the bottom line is this, you hire me, I work for you. Very simple. I would think that with the cost of houses these days, one would want to know every little detail about the home. Let's face it, you not sending me in to go look at some carrots and celery here. A home is a major, major expense. I wouldn't leave the property until you understood everything. It's your money buying it, not mine. I don't "pass" or "fail" homes, nor do I give them a "rating out of ten". At the end of the inspection it will be you that does this. Thank you for choosing Classic Home Inspections !!!

    Home Inspection

We hired Classic Home Inspection to look at a home we were planning to purchase. Brent (the inspector) provided a thorough and careful inspection of the home as well as a well organized report, supported with digital photographs of the various features of the home. Brent was very considerate and explained not only what he found, but also why it was important to look at these various features of the home, as well as the longer term implications of what he found. This latter aspect was very important to us as we are not experts and would not necessarily have appreciated the items he brought to our attention had he simply listed them in a report.

    Answer from pro:

Thank you for taking the time and leaving feedback Dan ! It is much appreciated ! I personally feel that the report that we use here at Classic Home Inspections is relitivly easy to understand and provides all the necessary information regarding the home. In the past, I have used great big bulkly reports that seem to cause more confusion than anything else. I had more callbacks of people not clear as to what was on the report, and quite frankly, it took me time to figure it out as well. So I changed reports. I have even seen other inspection companies providing a sparce little report one to three pages in length. To be honest, anyone could have filled it in. So, I go with the report that satifies the consumer. I have stuck with it and the feedback has always been positive. As far as pictures go, well I'm taking them anyway, so I always offer them at the end. Plus I figure you've probably got a lot on your mind when buying/ selling/ looking for a home and chances are you won't remember everything that I've said and shown you, so the when going through the report, hopefully the pictures clarify things a little. Thank you for choosing Classic Home Inspections !

    Home inspection

I bought my very first home and decided to go with Classic Home Inspections. It was a very good learning experience for me. I had a number of questions about my home and I found Brent to be very patient and thorough. He took the time to answer all of my questions. He gave me a lot of tips about how to repair various items and even explained how to light my wood burning fireplace. He went above and beyond what I expected. It was worth every penny.

    Answer from pro:

Thank you for the feedback Margaret !!! It is much appreciated ! I try and make the inspection process a learning experience. Many home inspectors want you to stay out of their way so they can get the job done and do a quick review at the end. I much prefer the person "shadow" me, asking as many questions as they can come up with. People have lots of questions and I want to answer them. Including how to operate a wood burning fireplace safely ! If it takes a little longer so be it. My goal is simply have you understand the home to its fullest. Thank you for choosing Classic Home Inspections !

    Home Inspection

My husband and I were very satisfied with Brent's professionalism, knowledge, thoroughness and friendliness. During the inspection, Brent learned that we have a newborn, and gave specific suggestions to ensure his safety. He also welcomes questions during the process and doesn't ever make you feel as though your question is dumb. The pictures and report that are provided after the inspection are very helpful. The report is very detailed and user-friendly for newbies. Brent's services were well worth the money spent.

    Answer from pro:

Thank you for the feedback Amy !!! As well, the kind words. That's right Amy, there are no dumb questions. Good grief, you're buying a home, ask everything !!! I'm there to answer them. I would sooner you ask me first then to ask someone trying to sell you something. A good home inspector should ask things like will there be young ones, elderly, or about tennants in the basement. Not because we're nosey, but because it's good to get advice or purhaps be weary of certain things when living in the home. As we all know, people can get hurt around the home. Thank you for choosing Classic Home Inspections !

Brent was one of a number of inspectors referred to me by my agent. I decided to call him after I read the reviews on homestars.com and in addition to sounding knowledgeable in his trade; he was also quite accommodating in terms of timing and pricing. Brent conducted the inspection of my property with thoroughness and professionalism, making sure to carry me along in the process. He provided detailed and comprehensible explanations about the various aspects of the inspection which were invaluable as I had little or no idea about the workings of some of the systems in the home. The inspection report was very detailed and offered advice on future maintenance requirements and the pictures were a nice addition to the package. The attitude with which a task is undertaken is as important to me as the work product and that is one of the reasons I decided to go with Classic Home Inspections. It was rewarding to see that Brent brought the enthusiasm which had come through over the telephone to his work and there was not a dull moment for the duration of the inspection. At the end of it, I felt I had received real value for my money. Thanks, Brent, for making my first home inspection experience a pleasant one.

    Answer from pro:

Thank your for the feedback Akunna !!! It is much appreciated ! Akunna, you were smart by doing your homework when opting to go with "your realtors home inspector". It is wise that asked for a list. Not just one particular company that your realtor likes to use. Ensure that your inspector is legit. Are they working for you or the realtor. Remember, many home inspection companies rely heavy on realtors for business. Which makes you wonder exactly what may be going on behind the scenes. I've heard certain realtors tell me they like to use certain inspectors because they're cheap and fast. I say "good luck". I'm not one of them. Yes, I'll admit it, some realtors will promote me a little. They like the way I work and truely want whats best for their client. I've even "killed deals" for them. However, they understand that a fact is a fact, and in the end want a happy client. I'm glad you were happy with the inspection Akunna. Thank you for choosing Classic Home Inspections !!!

    Home Inspection

Brent did a fantastic job on our home inspection on very short notice. We called him the evening before we required the inspection done and re-arranged other appointments to make us a priority. Brent did not rush through a single aspect of his inspection, was incredibly detailed, answered all questions with thoughtful background and anecdotes to ensure we understood his rationale, concerns and findings. His report included photos that were sent on the same day. Great overall work and very pleased.

    Answer from pro:

Thank you for the feedback Jane and Dave !!! I certainly can't guarantee that I can do inspections on short notice, however, many calls are people, like yourself, who need inspections within the next fews days after calling. It's just part of the nature of the industry. That's why I'm 24/7. You had mentioned "did not do a rush job". Many home inspectors try to "cram" in as many inspections as they can in a day. To all parties involved using them, good luck. Personally, bearing in mind the amount of money being spent on homes these days, I would think a person wants a thorough, informative inspection. I feel it's my duty. I always tell people, experienced home inspectors do not brag home many they get done in a day, bad ones do. My concern is a good thorough inspection, that's it. Thank you for choosing Classic Home Inspections !

    Home Inspection

I bought my house two years ago without the benefit of a home inspection. After a couple of "issues", I decided to have one done and found Brent on Home Stars. He was extremely thorough and spent hours going through my home on the inside and outside and was very patient answering my many questions. He pointed out the jobs that needed to be attended to, gave me a timeline and the appoximate cost of the job. The written report he provided will be very useful in the future. I'd certainly use Brent again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

    Answer from pro:

Thank you for the feedback !!! As well, the kind words. Well, you are not alone. Many homeowners were not in a position to use a home inspector when purchasing the property. Especially in those high demand areas where there are bidding wars. Unfortunately, many of those homeowners come accross issues that were not known when buying. In some cases, the news isn't great, but, at least now they know, and can address the issue(s). Thanks again, and thank you for choosing Classic Home Inspections !

    Home Inspection

We found Brent Jeffreys here on Homestars and he had nothing but 10-star reviews. Now we know exactly why that is - Brent did a great, thorough, and very professional job in inspecting our future property. His report was detailed, he was very thorough in his inspection and took the time to point out not just what we should be aware of in the property, but a number of "best practices" as well. We would recommend Brent without hesitation - he certainly exceeded our expectations.

    Answer from pro:

Thank you for the feedback Madhu !!! It is much appreciated. Why do I promote Homestars? Unlike other directories, you have the luxury of reading true customer feedback regarding a company before calling them in. I personally don't know of any other directory like this. You had mentioned that I gave adivce and "best practices", some people think that an inspectors job is to simply go in and find a bunch of negitive things regarding the property. Good grief, talk about killing a dream home for someone. Although I must present all facts regarding the property, I also like to give all aspects informing you of the home. Good, bad, or somewhere in between. I truely want you to understand everything. If I can offer advice on certain issues, I like to present that as well. Remember, other tradespeople have something to sell, I don't. An inspectors opinion should be unbiased. Thanks again for the feedback, it was great meeting with you, and thank you for choosing Classic Home Inspections !!!
