Our furnace was over 20 years old and we decided to replace it before it failed. We had 3 quotes. Fred's quote was very competitive and both my wife felt very comfortable with the information and suggestions that Fred provided, and that we were not being oversold on anything. Fred's installation crew arrived exactly on time for the switch and when they left, they cleaned everything and removed all the old parts. Drop cloths were used to protect our carpets and flooring. They took the time to review the workings of the new unit. Fred followed up that evening and ensured the paperwork for applicable rebates was processed for us, and that we were happy with the installation. There was some confusion regarding the paperwork -( my fault) - and Fred returned my call and answered my question immediately. So far there have been no issues with the furnace; it is operating as expected. Cozy world did a great job and are total professionals. We would happily recommend them to anyone.

I use HomeStars regularly to find contractors for various home projects. And when I come across one that has pretty much all 10’s, I usually have some doubts, wondering how one company could consistently satisfy all of its customers. I don’t have those doubts anymore, at least when it comes to Cozy World. From the moment I contacted them to get some information on a new furnace and AC, to the completion of the job, I was – and still am – 100% satisfied. Fred called me back almost immediately after I registered via their website. He arrived at our home on time, presented the options very clearly, and provided excellent advice. I then did some online research and came up with additional questions, which Fred answered quickly, thoroughly and effectively. His team did their work in a day and cleaned up very well. Most importantly, since I work from a home office, they did everything as quietly as possible. Cozy World, Fred and his team all very much deserve 10’s. *** And do yourself a big favour and install Lennox – it’s so quiet that I have to go downstairs to make sure it’s running!

You'll want to read this! I recently had my ducts cleaned and they suggested that I call someone for furnace maintenance. So I called a heating and cooling services company I found on HomeStars who had 10 stars (no name, sorry). He came and "cleaned" the furnace (FYI, furnace is 14 yrs old but totally operational before his visit). He talked a lot of furnace jargon about what he was doing as he was doing it, as if to protect himself from any future accusations. He said we needed a new circuit breaker, even though I just needed it cleaned. Low and behold he left and the furnace no longer worked. I called him and he said there was nothing he could do and we just had to replace the part - tomorrow. So no heat with a 3 month old in the house. The part was $500 + labour + HST. So of course I wanted a second opinion. I called COZY WORLD INC and FRED was the man who took my call. I explained the situation and he said it would be $80 to come and check it out. I was nervous about him telling me the same thing as the first guy, and then it would have cost me an extra $80, but instead, FRED fixed EVERYTHING that the first guy, a) failed to do, and b) screwed up! What was going to cost me $700+ ended up only costing me $80+HST! First guy's mistake was he plugged back in the blower power backwards (he also did not clean the hose and the flame sensor, which are the most important parts to clean when you have a service, FRED taught me!). So the circuit board was not getting enough power since he plugged it in wrong. His solution was to jump the power which would keep some fan running the entire time instead of trying to figure out what happened. I guess thats why he told me that the motor would have to be replaced eventually too. I know this review sounds like a bad one for another company, but I know nothing about furnaces and the only reason I know what the first guy did wrong, was because FRED explained everything to me in plain english. Super honest, super simple, super down-to-earth. He came over immediately after I called, he cleaned the parts the first guy missed, he fixed his mistakes and he only charged me the consultation price. That is what I consider exceptional customer service. If you want a competent, efficient and super trustworthy furnace expert, call FRED. I promise, you will be really pleased that you did. PS - I also loved that he took his shoes on and off whenever he was walking around my house. Thank you so much FRED. You'll be hearing from us again.

Based on the great reviews on HomeStars, I called Cozy World when our air conditioner stopped working at the start of the past summer. They arrived when they said, gave us a reasonable quote for a new air conditioner, and installed it professionally. We have been very satisfied with their work. They also realized that a circuit board was not functioning properly, and came back to replace this within a couple of days. Overall, we were satisfied with their work and wouldn't hesitate to call Cozy World again.

After receiving two good quotes from trustworthy individuals I called Fred on a whim after seeing the home stars rating and reviews. He showed up on time and provided a much more thorough presentation and explained his credentials and credibility. Without giving me a hard sell I was convinced the Lennox products were superior to those I was being quoted on prior. He gave me all the details on the products and options, reviewed the site extremely thoroughly, identified issues with my hot water heater ventilation lining, saved me thousands by advising me not to upgrade my hot water heater, but instead he could make it comply to code quickly and inexpensively. All this and a quick install date and a reasonable price with standard rebates made him highly competitive in cost and and superior in value. When his crew arrived on time they were clean and polite and friendly. I've never had contractors be so thorough and thoughtful. We would never known they were even here and before they left they took the time to review the entire installation job, basic maintenance and the user interface. I was not surprised that the installers comments were all very consistent with Fred's. I felt secure that I made the right decision and extremely pleased as we had just finished a deluge of terrible experiences with contractors. I do not hesitate to recommend this company and these individuals for any of your heating, ventilation and air-conditioning needs. I don't think you can do any better in the city. I am a realtor and I will be actively providing their contact to any of my clients in need. This is the type of company that deserves to succeed.

My 16-year old furnace broke down again during the recent cold wave, so I decided to call a few places to get a quote for a new furnace. Cozy World was one of them. Fred also took a look at my existing heat pump (heat + a/c) and explained in details why the current setup was wrong and was actually damaging my furnace. Since my heat pump was over 10 years old and was starting to make a lot of noises, I asked for a completed furnace + A/C replacement quote, and got a competitive quote for new furnace/ac/icomfort thermostat system. All Lennox, so it all integrates together quite nicely. The installation went very smooth. Kam and his team were very professional and did an amazing job. Kam even noticed that the current filter holder I had was not very good, so he moved the filter holder to a better location and installed a new filter. All details were explained, and all my questions answered. I am very happy with my new furnace, and can't wait until it heats up outside to use the A/C too. The place was left clean, with all old equipment and boxes taken care of. I recommend getting the icomfort thermostat, as it integrates with all the systems and gives you an awesome user interface.

My 28 year old furnace and A/C had seen better days. After 4 quotes from across the GTA, I decided to go with Cozy World. Boris and Kam were an amazing tag team. On Tuesday, Boris visited to provide the quote and explained the installation requirements, taking into consideration the specifics of my house. Kam’s team was on site and completed their fantastic job by the following Wednesday! They were very professional, taking time to answer my questions while installing the equipment (furnace, new coils, a/c compressor with new cooling lines). The installation process was exceptional, paying attention to even the smallest details, like drain setup and taping necessary duct connections. They also took time to clean up the entire work side, contacting a recycler to pick up all the old equipment before leaving. I have rarely come across both sales and technicians that are so courteous and thorough. Needless to say, I'll be recommending Cozy World to my friends and neighbours. Cozy World offers an extraordinary level of service at a very competitive price -- a winning combination.

If you're wondering how a company can get so many consecutive "10 out of 10" ratings, wonder no more. Boris, Kal and his team were one of the most professional, conscientious and thorough tradesmen I have ever worked with. They provided a wealth of paperwork (yeah, I love paperwork) and took the time to explain the options and make rationalized recommendations. I was in a tough/frustrated spot with my furnace/duct problems and Boris was invaluable in finding the right solution and calming me down! Sadly with a new furnace that might last for eternity, I may not get to work with them again!
