We found David on this website and decided to contact David after reading all the great reviews. David was very helpful, friendly, very professional, thorough and detailed. Our kitchen backsplash looks amazing. My husband and I have just bought our first home and David gave us lots of other house maintenance tips too!

One of our bathroom showers was in total disrepair due to extreme water damage. My handy dandy father and I had attempted to get the shower prepared for tiling and unfortunately made a mess of it (no thanks to our neighbourly big box home centre). I contacted David based on his superior Home Star ratings and to his credit, he exceeded our expectations. David dropped by to give a quote and discuss how he would repair and tile the entire shower unit. David gutted the entire shower and completed additional plumbing along with the required tiling. He was a top professional from start to finish as he maintained a clean environment and worked expeditiously to complete the work in a short period of time. In addition, the project happened to be a bit larger than expected and David's extra charge was very reasonable under the circumstances. We would highly recommend David to anyone looking for a hard working, honest and extremely talented professional. In the renovation and construction industry, there is nothing regulating anyone from saying that they can do anything. Unfortunately, we were stuck with someone who could not do the job properly. After cancelling all work with him, we took a week off to recuperate. I searched homestars and found David's reviews. David called me and asked questions, then came out to look and quote. We said go ahead and he started a few days later. He pointed out errors of the previous contractor (a carpenter) and even had to redo a shower floor because it was done incorrectly. He gave me great pointers on plumbing as I had to redo some plumbing and install the toilet. We made a few changes as he went along. This increased his time on the job. It would cause anyone to be frustrated. He was very patient with us and accomodated the changes. Once the job was complete, he told us to call him if we needed anything or had any concerns. We didn't call him, but he called us about a week later to make sure everything was ok. He is a rare find, very customer focussed, and a devoted family man. He is the kind of person that you are proud to know and work with. Thank you for everything David.

David did a great deal of work for us in a timeframe that worked for our schedule. The bathroom was difficult since it is an older house, which poses certain challenges. In the end the place looked great and we have received all kinds of compliments. David gets our highest possible recommendation!! If you go with him you will be very satisfied.

A small, but tricky job that other contractors were reluctant to look at. David helped make some design decisions and made sure I got exactly what I was looking for. He's at the top of my list next time I have renovations to do.

David Utarid recently completed the tiling of our powder room. We had chosen small glass tiles to be applied on all 4 walls from top to bottom. This was a finicky job but David is really THE tile man. He has an attention to detail that is second to none, he genuinely cares about his workmanship and is a true perfectionist. He noticed touch-ups that we would have never picked up on! He also noticed that our toilet had been improperly installed and took the time to tell our handyman how to fix it. He also helped us install our wall-hung sink and patiently worked with us to find the best solution for a seamless installation. He is not the type of workman who only cares about his own particular job, but rather cares that the whole room (or bathroom in our case) is flawlessly completed. Moreover, he works long days and even weekends to complete the job. He is a joy to work with, exceedingly polite and caring. I would recommend to anyone needing tile work, he is a joy to work with.

We're in the process of renovating our basement for a home office and we called David in to tile the basement floor as well as the washroom. The floor was very unlevel and David took his time to make sure every single tile was straight & level. The job turned out great! We are very happy with his workmanship and I will definitley recommend him! Thanks David!
