I had to replace a bathtub and needed someone to remove and replace the bottom row of tiles. I got David's name from Homestars and he was exceptional. I also had him do a backsplash in the kitchen and laundry room. He came when he said he would and worked very hard while he was here. He explained what he was doing as he went along. In the bathroom the plumbers destroyed more drywall when they took the tub out. David repaired their damage and did an exceptional job. he even replaced the baseboards. In the kitchen he removed the range hood so he could tile behind it so it would look better. He told me if I wanted to replace it with a new one he would install it for me. David was a wonderful gentleman and I would highly recommend him to anyone.

We found David on homestars.com and from day one he was very honest, fair and punctual. He removed our existing ceramic floors and installed slate tiles in our kitchen, foyer and side entrance. We couldn't be more happy with his work! Our kitchen looks fabulous!! One thing that was truly impressive was that he made us feel comfortable, walked us through the whole process and lived up to his promise not to be finished until we were 100% satisfied. We would not hesitate to recommend David to family and friends. THANKS DAVID!!

Our first tiler didn't show up multiple times and our second tiler didn't have the right saw or blade to cut our glass tiles properly. Onto homestars.com I went and called David based upon his previous experience with glass tile. He answered the phone and said he was booked for a month and a half but still committed to come and see our place to quote on it. Our kitchen contractor had not finished the walls flat so the old tile glue was still covering the walls. It took David half a day to flatten the surface and 2 days to complete our kitchen. He showed up on time every day and stayed late so he could get it done within the time allowed. The quality of his work is outstanding, he was very courteous, professional and cleaned up as he went...and our kitchen looks GREAT!~ Thanks...C

We had been looking for over a year to find a contractor that would retile our shower floor. We couldn't get reasonable estimates as it was such a small job. When I contacted David he responded to me immediately. His price was excellent, and even though we agreed that we could wait until David could fit us in he managed to complete our shower floor within 2 weeks of our initial conversation. He did a great job for a great price and was a super nice guy. We would highly recommend David.

David just completed our job which was to fix a previous homeowner's lack of craftsmanship in our bathroom which led to cracking wall tile and mold around the tub. David offered up a number of different options and recommended the cost effective solution rather than push for the big job. He also did the tile around our our fireplace. He was truely a gentlemen, honest, caring and a perfectionist. What a refreshing experience!

We could not of asked for a better tile installer! Thanks to David our Kitchen now looks complete. From our first meeting David was very professional and was able to tell us the cost as well as the exact amount of time it would take to instal. We will definitely be using David again and recommend him for any tile job.

David laid a new ceramic tile floor in my kitchen a couple of months ago. I was really impressed by how great the finished floor looked. The job was a lot more labour intensive than I expected and he had to spend a lot of time leveling the floor with extra concrete before laying the tile. However, despite the extra work, he never complained or raised the agreed upon price. I'd definitely hire him for similar jobs in the future!

I wish to express my delight with David's finished project of our main floor with tile. David is professional, curtious and very meticulous. At the time a difficult family matter occured yet David was all smiles thorough a difficult time. Each day I now look at my floor (almost been a year now) I am still impressed with the work...no issues at all. I recommend (and have often) David highly....!!!! David.....we just bought a new house and hope to be seeing real soon!!!!

David contracted to install ceramic tile for me. He arrived the day before he was to start to accompany me for the purchase of the materials - to ensure that I understood the actual costs. He arrived on time - worked continously, and finsished when he said that he would. He identified a problem with my garage door and arrived the next day with the required material to fix the problem - what a fantastic contractor!!!! He fixed a dry wall problem on one of the walls in the bathroom - not on the list when he gave me the quote. His price was great. His focus on customer satisfaction was exceptional. A great gentleman! I would give him the highest possible recommendation.

After reading about David Utarid on Homestars, I was thrilled that he agreed to do our small job, which was repairing the cracking tiles on the window shelf in our shower and installing a new curved shower curtain rod. David was prompt, professional and efficient and did an excellent job for a reasonable price. We'd received quotes twice as high from bathroom contractors who really weren't interested in our little job. David cheerfully squeezed us in between larger jobs, and he didn't just do a cosmetic facelift - he replaced the waterlogged drywall below the tiles with strong cement board and increased the slope of the tiles so that the water wouldn't build up again. We are delighted with the job and will be sure to hire David for more substantial work in the future.
