    Furnace service

Enercare called me at regular intervals till they had me commit to a time for the yearly service call. The time was set for my convenience and the service rep called 20 minutes before he arrived to confirm I was ready. He was very professional, set to work immediately and as I watched over his shoulder he calmly explained what he was doing and about the condition of my furnace. He neither rushed or took his time but thoroughly completed his work.

    Horrible plumbing service nightmare

First time using an Enercare service call. I've been with them for a long time and it was by far the worst experience I've ever had! Horrible start of the week. In total I waited 12 hrs for a service that never came! They gave me a 1-5 pm appointment for a plumbing service... for which i had to travel to (over 100KM from my office to my rental property), take time off from work (and my tenant as well). I waited very patiently, starting just before the 1pm timeframe. Called them at 4 to confirm they were still coming, to which the Enercare confirmed they were still in the timeframe. After 5pm (close to 5:30) I called Enercare mentioning their plumber never came. To which they seemed confused. They put me on hold for a while and reached out to other departments (emails). From there, all of a sudden I get a call on my other phone (I have two contact phones) from a plumbing company and their first words are ‘why did you escalate to Enercare’? To which I reply, I called Enercare to let them know the plumber never showed up, and there is a flood. They try to make it seem like its only 5:30… you shouldn’t have called Enercare!? As if I am at fault or inconveniencing them. At this point I am back and forth with the plumber (I put it on speaker and close to the other phone so the Enercare agent can hear what their plumber is saying to me. They even mention that I could have called someone else in the city for the service?!? At this point I put the plumber on hold, go back to the other conversation with Enercare and I confirm they just heard the conversation with their plumber and attitude and comments received. I ask the agent for help and service as I am in a flooding situation in the basement laundry room. The best they can say is ask if the plumber is able to come. Switch conversations, the plumber says they can only make 9-10pm. Switch again and Enercare recommends I take it. Which I do (regretfully in retrospective as you will soon find out). After waiting until after 10 pm… getting no call back (I saved the number of the plumber), finally getting some texts saying it’s going to be longer… 11:30pm…. At this point I am stuck. Kept waiting finally waited until after midnight and called Enercare updating them on the fiasco that has happened. At this point the best they can do is book another appointment on Tues technically this is for the same day since I’ve been waiting for service for 12 hours now and I am talking to enercare on a Tuesday now. Another 4 hr window allotmen. Now with Enercare escalation to see if I can get a closer time frame window (as its been over 12hr timeframe of wait now, doesn’t look like the 4 hr additional window can be more exact so I can plan my tues evening). What a nightmare.

Fails to honor protection plan contract

I am writing to complain about the horrible customer service received over the past several days. I believe that Enercare is in violation of our contract for Furnace Protection Plan, by a) Taking 4 days to supply service in a no-heat emergency, and b) Failing to honor multiple appointments. We called Enercare on Thursday December 7, at 3:30 pm to report a no heat situation. We were unable to run our furnace, without flooding our basement. We were informed that our first available appointment would be Saturday afternoon evening, 48 hours later, in violation of a Same day/24 hour standard for emergency service. On Friday morning, on a subsequent call, we were told that a technician would be there on Friday afternoon. We waited at home all day, but no technician on Friday. No one called us to inform us about the no show. Then were told that we could not get a technician until Saturday Evening, 5:00 to 9:00 pm. So we waited again, without anyone showing up, and without anyone contacting us about the no show. Two Saturday appointments and one Friday appointment were violated by Enercare, which I consider to be an abandonment of our Protection Plan contract. We finally got service Monday at noon after spending four days with a broken furnace, continually cleaning up flooding. The customer service is outrageously bad. The representatives have no authority to do anything to help us, and although they promised twice to escalate the service call to management, nothing in fact was done. We pay $50.00 per month for these protection plans, but when something breaks, then we get no protection, which is in violation of this contract.
