    Duct Cleaning

The technician (Stan T.) was extrememly knowledgable, friendly and helpful in identifying the state of our duct work. He cleaned the dryer vent which was clogged , and explained why our filter for the furnace was always so clogged. He was amazing.

    Answer from pro:

Thanks so much - this is great to hear! I will certainly pass your feedback along to Stan.

    A/C repair

Professional attention to the complete needs of the repair job -- not just a partial effort. The technician was courteous and helpful, explaining what he needed to do. Great job!

    AC Unit serviced with excellence

Over the last couple of years our AC unit has given some trouble, even though it's not old. This year the unit failed to come on at all. We made a service request and were given one for about 5 days away. Then we got a call offering for a technician to come in "tomorrow"! Very pleased, to say the least. The technician, Ricardo, quickly identified the root of the problem. He discovered some issue with how one of the fittings had been previously installed. He spent all the time needed to fix it once and for all. Our AC is working now better than it has for years. Super job, Ricardo, and thanks! (I believe the work was done through Perry Fuels, an Enercare subcontractor, a quality service provider in Durham Region.)

Thanks for the great feedback Dan! I will certainly share your comments with the team.

    Water Tank Rental

Unfortunately I acquired the water heater rental contract from the previous home owners. In wanting to cancel the contract so I can buy my own tankless water heater; they told me it would cost 650$ to cancel and an additional 80$ if I want to see the original contract. This is clearly violating the Competition Act. These steep termination fees basically force you to stay with them. To see if I can salvage the situation and avoid the fees, I wanted to see how much a tankless water heater purchased from them would cost. Almost $5000!! not including installation. I can find a similar and more efficient heater for 1/5 of the price and find my own plumber and electricians at a 3/4 of the cost. They do not even respond to my emails to try and resolve the situation. On my 4th email now using it as an audit trail for when I will probably need to escalate the situation. Their customer service is as abysmal as their prices. Do not rent or buy from them. They take your money and leave you hanging.

    Water Heater Repair

Monday morning had no hot water. Called and they would have a repairman to my residence between 11-3. The repairman did show up during the given time window. Water from Sundays storm had entered the vent tube, so a simple task of draining the vent tube was all that was required. He completed this task in short order. However he then went on to say the Hot Water Tank (which is a rental thru them) needed to be replaced, the circulation pump was leaking (Which it was not and never has) Furnace needed replacing (Which he never even opened up the access doors) and finally our AC Unit needed replacement as it is not efficient (Yet our house was a nice and cool 20 Degrees, where we have it set). So he tried to sell my wife a new Hot Water Tank, Circulation Pump, Furnace and Central Air AC Unit. So I guess this companies repair people are also now salesmen, too bad his skills are not put to better use and stop trying to be a salesman. My wife told him she would not make any purchases without consulting me first. I guess he did not like that answer. He failed in his sales job. Had my wife been 30 years older and I being deceased, she might have fallen for that sale. I guess they will try anything to make a sale or get a bonus for suckering people into thinking they needed useless replacements.

Very Poor Service Quality and Customer Care

Called Enercare for rental water Heater service. They had to replace the water heater at an addition $5/month. During the inspection (looking around) First Tech saw the furnace ABS vent terminating under the deck. He said , it should come up the deck but since all three sides of the deck are open it should be ok. 2nd tech showed up to install, and he said, he has to red tag the ABS pipe because is going under the deck. He also said it is not a big deal, just cut a hole through deck and bring up the ABS pipe. Called Enercare for Red tag removal process and the field tech supervisor said, both techs who show up at my place were wrong about the furnace vent pipe. You can not modify ABS, you have to change it to PVC vent pipe. Called number of times to talk to customer care and finally got a case opened . They call it Manager case. Finally, they transferred me to a manager. The line was crappy and she said, the line is not good and she will call me right away from another line. That was on Thursday and today is Monday :). Never heard back from her. Called back a few more times, no answer. As for the field techs, all these techs are supposed to be certified working on Gas appliances and follow the same code and we assume, they know what they are doing. In my case, if their supervisor says they both made a mistake and were wrong, how much risk are we taking to let them work on our gas appliances and put our families at risks? We are talking about gas appliances, should we really trust Enercare with their quality of service ??!! And as for the management, the experience I had with them explains everything. I have not yet been able to talk to customer care manager since the case was opened.

    Water heater malfunction Repair

The service technician was in our area and decided to ring our doorbell mid-morning, in case we were home, and to see if our water heater could be repaired quickly. He got it working in less than 10 minutes and this freed up my whole afternoon. Thank You

central air conditioning unit inspection & service

9 instead of 10 - Nobody's perfect. Service person was amiable, polite and efficient. He answered any and all queries about the service being performed and provided his assessment of the condition of the unit. Overall he exhibited a very professional approach to the task, completing the work thoroughly and in minimal time.
