Excellent Plumbing Service, Rapid Fix to Outside Water Pipe

Our water spigot to the back yard was not working. Turned on the water and discovered the pipe froze and burst over the winter. Jordan Bell from Enercare came and fixed it in less than an hour. We found Mr. Bell to be professional and respectful, and also provided excellent functioning and looking work. Thank you for your speedy service Joran, our family is not enjoying the backyard with water again this summer. Cheers, Riddell Crescent

    Answer from pro:

Thanks for the great feedback Riddell! We agree- Jordan is a great member of the team!

    Wrongful billing

So I get two letters in the mail. One says my gas bill will have a service plan attached to it that I am behind in paying (186.00) Second letter said the same thing but this one was for (49.00). So I called them and they said my service was switch from my house at a different address (my parents house, which sold in DEC 2016, mother was moved to a home). I told them she sold the house, the contract was cancelled and paid in full, which it was and that I had never signed anything from them, ever had anyone from enercare at my house and never agreed to anything on the phone. She kept going on and on about how it was switched over. Kept telling here i have lived in this house for over 5 years and have never contacted them or used their services. It was like she kept trying and trying to get me to agree to this and pay for it. When i finally said i was going to call my lawyer and get him involved and let him deal with this, the very next thing out of her mouth was, i see a computer error, you wont be billed. By this point i'm going to jump through the phone, and said, why didn't you start the conversation like that, and hung up.

Duck cleaning services in 2016 "Not Impress"

Received unprofessional services in April 2016- technical was demanding extra money to clean ducks - we decided we don't want them back in our house- very sure we didn't have a contract but we got charges $219.98 this year even though we did not received any services. I was told to pay the bill first then they will investigate and if its Enercare fault then they will credit back. Called for a resolution but NO HELP at all-Manager could not come on the phone and supervisor doesn't have power to help or solve the issue or send me confirmation on the email. PLEASE CANCEL MY SERVICES- ACCOUNT# 7001203379 Enercare: If you need to talk then email me back!

    Answer from pro:

Hi Jash- This is very concerning to hear and I would definitely like to investigate. Can you please email me at support@enercare.ca with your account details, including address, so that I can access your case? Thank you!

    A/C Maintenance call

I called for maintenace on my AC and the technician, Norm Rollin, went out of his way to provide me with the best service I have ever had with a technician. I am alone and I do not know much about it. He took the time to fully explained to me why my AC was not working at its full capacity and fixed all my problems regarding how to get the best out of my unit. I highly recommend him he is super at his job!!!!!!

    Answer from pro:

Thank you so much for the great feedback! I will certainly pass your kind words along to Norm.

    Leaky tank

Enercare is We called to say our tank was leaking. They took over 1 hour to find our account number as Enacare system with our name was not migrated over from Embridge. Eventfully a technician came to the house and saw the leak. And he even turned the knob to regulate how much water to can be in the tank. He show us how to do this. He took pictures. Today I found out the technician reported the leak differently and said we don't have a leak. In fact he said we are going to buy a tank as if there was no problem. We had mentioned we are going to get our own tank, and he said to get the new tank within 2 weeks otherwise we will have a bigger problem. Last few days we had to turn the water off as there were other leaks in other places. We now have our new tank. So I called to come pick up the old tank - and they are insisting we have an 8 year tank so we have a "contract". They are making it difficult to get out of their system. We are the original owners of our house and now own the house for over 15 years. We have the original tank that came with our new home. They asked me to find my ownership of the house and where the tank is listed. Discrepancies Enercare folks make the claim install the tank in 2009, so it would be say 8 years old. We have never let these Enercare people into our home, we saw too many people getting rip off. I even mentioned originally our water heater tank was with Embridge, so they can clue in when the accounts was transferred over. The technician has to only look at the tank and said "oh it is with Embridge, these tanks and over 14 years. It is pass its life" . We found out this Tech had worked at Embridge and move with Enercare division. I don't recommend dealing with Enercare. NEVER. I am going to write a complain to Ministry of Consumers affairs.

    Air conditioner

I pay Enercare monthly for their services. June 3, 2017, my AC unit stopped working. Called Enercare and was told a technician was only available in 5 days. Scheduled it and told them to send the technician after 5pm as I work. Technician called at 3.30 pm but I was at work and the appointment was deemed canceled. Called Enercare to rebook and was told the next available date would be June 30. Unbelievable!!! Before this I had spoken to about 5 reps including a manager who said I had no option in this matter and they kept pushing morning and afternoon timings on me eventhough I repeatedly told them I wanted after 5pm. I lost it and called out their stupidity - showed me they weren't listening. Told them to cancel my contract - good riddance!!! DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM. Their ads claim they have 24/7 service - THAT IS ONLY FOR CALLING THEM - NOT 24/7 SERVICE. This company has put stupidity to a whole new level. I called a private company and the sent a technician out the next day. Put your hard earned money towards these little guys than these big monopolies.

    Answer from pro:

Hi Jacey- I'm very sorry to hear this and completely understand your frustrations. With all the hot weather we've been having the last few days, we are experiencing higher than normal call volumes for service calls. Our technicians are working diligently to fix each problem properly and in a timely manner. Please email me at support@enercare.ca with details of your account, including address and phone number, so that I can look into your case. Thank you!

    Furnace

Enercare is the worst company to deal with. Although their staff is polite the corporate company only cares about money. They do not do through service to fix the problem at hand. Instead they try to sell you brand new products when they are not needed. They want you to rent products instead of purchasing them so you become fincially trapped. Having a service with them is a yearly contract that cannot be broken. I was not aware of that when I signed up for this many years ago and am not able to stop paying for a service that is upheld by the company. I will never buy a furnace, air conditioner or any type of product or service with this company. I have heard terrible stories about them and have now experienced 2 of my own.

    Answer from pro:

Hi there - Sorry to hear that you're having this experience. Similar to any contract, there are buyout fees associated with opting out of your plan early. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions of your contract for more information. If you require any further assistance please email me at support@enercare.ca with more details.

    New A/C Installation

Enercare serviceman Dennis Pettitt and his partner Justin installed a new air conditioner for us today. Dennis was very efficient and informative about the whole procedure, and explained everything we needed to know about our new unit. He made sure we understood everything before leaving us with a house that is finally cooling down. I am always impressed by the enercare service people, they are polite, knowledgeable and really know what they are doing. Thanks Dennis!

    Answer from pro:

Hi Wendy- Thank you so much for the wonderful feedback, I will certainly pass your note along to Dennis!

***Protection Plan to generate business ***

I signed up for Enercare service protection plans including air condition, plumbing and Furnace etc. The technician showed up and handed over $258 + HST fee in order for him to run diagnostic test to find the leak and this test is not covered under the protection. This was not explained to me when I signed up for the protection plan and furthermore we were charge $99 fee for technician's visit to see the air condition, again this was not explained by the sales staff. I am very unsatisfied with with EnerCare and.will not deal with them again nor recommend to anyone.…… 0/10 rating
