    Worst experience ever!

I got a red tag from enbridge because he said my chimney liner had to be smaller. Called Enercare and they came in to say was fine (code had changrd) and I didn't have to do anything except that I needed a source of fresh air and said I could untape an old dryer vent so I did. Called Enercare to tell them these details and they said they would look after the red tag for me. Next thing I know my hot water is shut off and no heat in my house. Enercare says they can't clear the tag because they didn't do the work (remove the tape??) and 2nd guy that came in is now telling me I have to do more than just remove the tape. Each guy says something different. In the meantime, call Centre told me I was good to go. They had left me 1 final message with absolutely NO DETAILS. I called them back ASAP. Never heard from her again and she claims I didn't call back. She's not telling the truth. I hope a supervisor has access to her voicemail to prove it. Thanks to her my gas has been shut off. I should never had gotten a tag to begin with because my liner WAS to code. On top of all things, Enercare guy gives me his own personal card and tells me not to mention this. Says he can put in a new tank for me. One that vents out the wall even though he knew I had just bought my tank 3 years ago! So disappointed with Enercare And Enbridge and their lack of communication and omissions in information and as a consumer, I'm paying for it by having my gas shut off!!!

    Plumbing service contract

I had a service man inspect two toilets that were flushing poorly. I was told that one newer duel flush, a was typically poor flusher and the older toilet was just old. Nothing was done. The call was priced at $98, which I did not have to pay because of my service contract. I asked customer service to cancel but I am locked in 'til the end.

Cancelling water heater contract is impossible!!

The most terrible company I have ever had to deal with. Cancelling a water heater contract with these guys = mission impossible. We had to jump through numerous hoops to get our contract cancelled including sending Enercare our purchase of agreement on our house to a general email address. Then they proceeded to get the closing date mixed up with the date of offer, proceeding to charge us for rental fees backdated to before we even owned the home! How can their legal department make this kind of error? Each time we called we were on hold for hours at a time. Since paying nearly $1300 to cancel the water heater back in February we have continued to be billed for the rental water heater!!! We bought it out 3 months ago and they continue to bill us! We have called several times, been given reference numbers and nobody seems to communicate or know whats going on each time we call. Meanwhile we continue to be billed an extra $30+ a month for a water heater we now own!! Enercare are you listening????? Improve your customer service!!!

$646.59 BACK BILLING CHARGE DUE TO SYSTEM ERROR FOR CANCELLED PLANS

I had Total Home Protection Plan + Cooling Maintenance Plan + Heating Maintenance Plan while I was living on my own at my old house. I got married and moved to the new house on Jan. 21, 2016. On January 29, 2016 I paid my last Enbridge bill for the old house with all the Enercare plans. Since my husband is very handy we decided that we don't need the maintenance plans that I used to have while I was living on my own. So on Feb. 17, 2016 I called the company to cancel all the plans and I got a confirmation that they were all now cancelled. The monthly billing statement after that for the new house did not contain any monthly charges for these plans. Then suddenly on my billing statement dated April 20, 2017, there's a charge from Enercare for $646.59. When I called Enercare I was told that this is back billing charges for the past 9 months starting June 2016 to present because they missed billing me due to system error. I told them that there is nothing to back date because all this 3 plans were cancelled 14 months ago. Now they are saying that they don't have documentation of my request for cancellation. This is very odd since after I phoned them to cancel on Feb 17, 2016 they stopped billing me for any of this plans. Now all of a sudden they had a system error and they want me to pay them for a back billing of 9 months for the plans that I cancelled 14 months ago. I am disputing this right now and I am getting nowhere. DON'T GET ANY ENERCARE PLANS! Read all the reviews here about their cancellation policy. It is not worth your money, time and stress. You are better off hiring independent service provider in your local community. I am telling all people I know about this. Don't be their next victim.

    New High Efficiency Furnace

I had a 19 year old mid efficiency furnace that was putting out about 50% . I spoke with an enercare technician who arranged for an appointment to consider a High Efficiency Furnace. I purchase the furnace then decided to rent it as a cost efficient process. Installation went off with a hitch and I'm very happy with the new furnace and service.

    Air conditioning and furnace maintenance

We have a contract with Enercare for both our Trane air conditioner and furnace and have been quite satisfied. Because both of these have recently 'gone off' their warranty period, we have purchased and upgrade from 'just maintenace/annual checkup' to a package for both that includes both parts and labour for only $11+ more each month.

    Furnace Maintenance

Excellent Service given by technician. He was very courteous and respectful of the house. He explain in detail what needed to be done. He made recommendations to keep the furnace clean to provide best performance for the dwelling. He took the time to clean and service the furnace. Due to the rain he suggest another day for the air condition service. He wanted to know if we had any questions about the furnace.

    Furnace/thermostat repair

The house had no heat; thermostat was not working. Repairman arrived very promptly and knew how to fix the problem right away. Khalil (sorry not sure of spelling) was polite and he knew what he was doing. Thanks Enercare and Khalil!
