    Hot Water Tank Exchange

    We found that our existing gas hot water tank rental was being vented into our wall (no fault of Enercare) and therefore needed to change to a power vented tank. Very scary situation for us! When Nick came on Friday to inspect our situation, he rightly red tagged our heater and promptly made an appointment for an exchange to happen the next day. So far so good. The HUGE issue arose when he told me that the guys doing the exchange would do the electrical work and would have to quote us on site for upfront cost. When guys came on Saturday they told us that in fact, they do not do the electrical and we would have to get electrical in place before they could continue with the exchange. I called Enercare to find out why the 2 different stories and to find out what they could do now that our family of 5 was without hot water. The Enercare rep told me that Nick was mistaken when he told me that exchange guys do electrical. Oops. Nothing rep could do. He blandly offered to give me a feedback form that I could fill out. A feedback form??!! It's now the weekend. No electrical. We have to pay an electrician (if we can scrounge one up) time and a half. No hot water. But...we have a feedback form! In summary, Enercare messed up. Big time. Left a family of 5 with no hot water for 3.5 days. None of the 3 people within Enercare that I spoke with on the phone seemed very concerned about my situation. Their solution was to offer a bland "I know this isn't a good situation" and a feedback form. No reimbursement. No free month to make up for our huge error. $200 prepaid MC? Nope, that's for new customers only. Well, here is your feedback. I'm not sure how Enercare expects to keep business with customer service like I received. All I wanted from Enercare was for them to be efficient, get their facts straight and treat a customer with sympathy and respect. I am not looking for handouts, simply an apology and small token of the fact that they messed up and put us at a huge inconvenience. Too much to ask apparently.

    Furnace maintenance

    I recently had furnace maintenance done. The service person, Chris, took great care to make sure that he did an exceptional job. I feel comfortable that everything is in order.

    Plumbing Protection Service

    I have the Enercare plumbing protection plan. Have had plumbers show up not knowing what to do and arguing with city workers about responsibilities. City workers had to show plumbers what to do. Had a recent incident with a shut off being seized. Took a day off to wait for plumbers to show. No one showed up or called. Called Enercare and they said someone would be by the next day. No show, no call. Will not renew my plans. Nonsense.

    Furnace maintenance program

    I bought this service last year for peace of mind and for a very reasonable price. I did have my cooling system fixed and furnace maintained. The technician was "On time, very polite with respect for the property. Very clean, All my questions were answered.Went above and beyond to do a little extra...Thanks.!"

    Service the furnace

    The work I received from Enercare was very professional. The technician was very polite and friendly. It was done in a timely manner too. I would recommend this company for any furnace issues.

    Cancellation of protection plans: read small print

    If you get one of Enercare protection plans, make sure you read small print in the contract. Cancelling the plan does not mean what you probably think it means. Every year your plan is automatically renewed for another 12 months. Then if you cancel (for example, if you sell your house and move), Enercare still charges you for the remainder of the 12 months. You can find many complaints about this at the Better Business Bureau web site.

    Annual Furnace Maintenance

    Paul Antoniak was our service professional. He made a point of putting on booties to protect our floor. He assessed our system and found a deficiency. Paul then proactively called for an immediate replacement part ensuring that our system did not fail in the middle of winter. We were very happy with the service received.

    plumbing repair

    The serviceman Brett was prompt used booties when entering our home. He was polite and informative gave me advice as to prevent more problems with our plumbing problem.Brett was very excellent serviceman.

    Furnace @ AC Maintenance

    Today the Enercare service Tec Raul H came to service @ clean my Furnace @ AC unit, He was on time very knowledgeable and answered all my questions, we are very satisfied with his work.

    Furnace Maintenance

    I'd have to count this experience with Enercare as a huge win! Call I Centre staff handled my call quickly and professionally and provided a few different options for consideration. Appointment was made and I received a confirming email. Technician arrived within the 4 hour window as promised and was professional and courteous. Shoe coverings were worn and the technician (Steve Renshaw) took the time to speak with us, explaining each step and answered all our questions with a smile. A copy of our checklist was emailed to us promptly for our records. It was so easy, which surprised me. Customer service seems to be a dying art in this day and age so I didn't expect this level of attention and Enercare surpassed my expectations from beginning to end! I will definitely be recommending Enercare to family and friends in the future so keep up the great work!
