    Furnace Install

    We are very happy with the whole process from sales to installation. The new furnace is fantastic. The installers were professional, friendly and offered valuable tips on the use of the equipment.

    Furnace Service

    The first guy saw the problem but was not 100% sure of the cause. He called for a more senior repairman to give a 2nd opinion. I really appreciated that. The carpenter rule is to measure twice but cut once. I would rather Direct Energy be sure than have a man try to fix a problem he may not have encountered before.

    Furnace Service

    I didn't have a furnace protection plan, however due to the quick response from your company for service.. the first call to your company, and the professionalism displayed by your technician, i was very impressed ... and signed up for the protection plan with the technician after the issue.

    Plumbing Service Plan

    I have the plumbing service plan with Direct Energy. The Customer Service Representative sadly I rate poorly for their knowledge and understanding, the Service Technician however I rate very highly. My issue with the Customer Service Representative is two-fold. 1) On my initial call to Direct Energy the CSR (in consultation with a supervisor) confirmed the work was covered by my service plan. Seeing as I needed to arrange to have the municipal water shut off to my property and time off work, I set up the service call a few weeks later and again at that time the CSR confirmed the work was covered by the plan. 2) On the day of the appointment, the Service Technician called to inform me that the work I had requested in fact was NOT covered by the service plan and he had noted on the work order that I had not been informed of this or the subsequent charges for the work at the time of booking. A subsequent call to the CSR confirmed this (after being put on hold repeatedly). My spouse even called asking where in the service agreement it stated that the requested work was not covered. He was repeatedly put on hold and finally got cut off. He never did receive a return call from the CSR centre regarding this. The service technician however kept his appointment to inspect the job. He determined that the item in question was functioning correctly and didn't need replacing...thus saving me hundreds of dollars. I mentioned two other minor items (that were covered by the service plan) that I would appreciate him looking at if he had time. The service technician happily inspected and replaced parts as required. The technician was extremely friendly and courteous at all times whilst he was in my home. He worked cleanly, quickly, explaining as he went, what he was doing and was very knowledgeable. Based on my experience with the service technician alone I am thrilled with the work and service provided by my Direct Energy Service plan and would rate it 10+++....however when taking the CSR aspect into account I have to reduce my rating from excellent to mediocre at best. The CSR needs to be more knowledgeable about the service plans and what they cover.

    Furnace "Protection" Plan

    Do not purchase a protection plan. Each year, its an opportunity for Direct Energy to get into your home, try to find something wrong with a perfectly operating appliance, and then hold you ransom to turn the heat on. I just got hit with the "cracked heat exchanger" racket, and they shut my tenant down in the midst of a cold snap. Look it up on the internet, do yourselves a favour don't let them in your home.

    Furnace Service

    Helpful and friendly staff who initially took my call. Very knowledgeable about Direct Energy's services. You could tell by his enthusiasm that he enjoyed his job. The technician was professional, courteous and friendly. He arrived at the expected time and took time to explain his assessment in detail.

    Water Heater Service

    The Technician arrived within a reasonable time and, the hot water leak was fixed within approximately half an hour from the time he arrived. We were very pleased with his service.

    Boiler Service

    The Direct Energy service technician (Shawn) was fantastic and I could not ask for better service. I will ask for him by name for my next service call, and totally recommend DE service.

    Plumbing Service

    Actually I did not contact Direct Energy directly. I contacted a Direct Energy contracted company and the service technician just happened to mention that if I had a plan with Direct Energy the work would have been done for free. I had forgotten about my plan with Direct Energy in the excitement of water pouring out of a pipe and into my basement. I was quite grateful and impressed that he told me about the insurance and then had his boss consult with Direct Energy to get the job done under their contract with Direct Energy.

    Furnace, Air condition Install

    The Direct Energy salesman was knowledgeable, not pushy, very efficient as well as the installers. Everyone pleasant and helpful responded immediately to call about broken furnace - felt was priority.
