    Watch out of you are considering buy protection plan with this company

    I have whole home protection plan for years , it was ok . But the technician service is getting worsen and unprofessional. I called for plumber issue- low pressure from faucets . The technician came and only stayed at my home for less than 10 mins then said , change your faucet . But this is not covered by plan after 2 disappoint visits . I decided to cancel my plan , I was told the contract once be extend then it is for an year contract . For cancellation , I was given very hard time by this company , each call has a long waiting list , and They transferred me to over 5 different persons . I gave them 2 months notice . 7/30 was last day of contract , they still has not cancelled my plan and continual charge me .

    DO NOT USE ENERCARE FOR ANYTHING

    Scheduled a $40 diagnostic for my rental property. Told the customer service rep I am the landlord, to call me once the diagnostic has been completed so I can decide if I want it fixed or if my husband could fix it himself. The technician went ahead and fixed the AC unit without approval. Received a bill of $170 to my home address a few weeks later. Customer service supervisor told me this bill is valid since the unapproved work has been completed. What a joke of a company!!

    Bathroom plumbing

    Excellent service and knowledgeable technicians . He went beyond his normal plumbing role and fixed the issue that would have otherwise cost us few hundreds extra. We were customer of Direct Energy when Enercare bought the business some 10 years ago. So we deal with them for more than a decade. For a bunglow like ours, we needed services like Enercare and been very satisfied. We have a plan that covers Plumbing, Heating, Electicity, Appliances, Air Conditioning . A very big Thanks to Enercare.

    A/C won't cool the house, but according to them "it's working properly"

    I called this company to check A/C in my parents' house. My parents set the thermostat to 20 degrees but the temperature won't go below 26-27 in warm days, and it's quite difficult and even dangerous for senior people. A so called technician came, briefly looked at the system, said that "everything is working properly", took $60 and left. I called again, explained the situation, and the agent seemed to be very understanding. He agreed with me that this case cannot be called "working properly", and assured me that he will call me next day to schedule the second opinion. Needless to say that I didn't get a call from them neither on the next day, nor on any other day.

    Heating and cooling maintenance

    James E., the technician was prompt, friendly & efficient. James took the time to explain how I can clean my furnace filter and air conditioner which will extend the life of my systems and save me money!

    Professional, Personable, and Patient

    Enercare is always careful and diligent about reminding, confirming, and announcing service calls. The technicians are always on time and demonstrate their expertise and training throughout the whole the whole maintenance process. Every visit, the technician listens and responds to every question and provides useful recommendations about products or suggestions to improve the efficiency of out HVAC equipment. Enercare's reps and techs always exhibit excellent professionalism.

    Stay away from this company

    I have had the heat and cooling maintenance plan for years. I recently had one of the most frustrating experiences I ever encountered with a company. I attempted scheduling my annual air conditioning maintenance. I found out that the customer service agent booked my furnace maintenance instead, even though they assured me it was for the AC. I called back to tell them this and they said the agent made a mistake but I have already used up the visit for the AC Maintenance plan even though it wasn't true! They told me the date and it was when they came for the furnace maintenance. Apparently the technician put that he did both the furnace and AC which was not true. I tried explaining that it makes no logical sense that I would request two AC maintenance visits so close together since I already did the actual previous one only a few months prior . I escalated this and they said a manager would call me back in a few days. This never happened. I called several more times (each time with ridiculous hold times since the agents put you on hold for every little question)to follow up and they just kept saying manager would call back. I asked to speak directly to the Customer Relations department and they said no such department exists. After calling over and over, I FINALLY got a manager to call back. They eventually sent someone for the AC maintenance at no charge, but only after I wasted around 5 hours of my time. I pushed for compensation due the atrocious service and they refused, even though they acknowledged that the service I received was not adequate. I cancelled my maintenance plans with them since they are impossible to deal with. STAY AWAY! Plenty of better companies out there.

    the worst company ever if you have any billing charged by mistake

    i was told the service fee will be waived before they sent technician over to evaluate if my rental space conditioner needs upgrade. i was charged $111 right after the technician came over for 1 second. And I was not able to get $111 back after 3 months endless call. Every time a different person from customer service will ask me to repeat whole situation. And finally they got it mixed up with my water heater tank rental. And I will not be able to get $111 back any more i was over charged for three months after my rental space conditioner was removed. It is the miscommunication between their departments and they put me in the middle. sounds like the issue will not be resolved at all

    New Air Conditioner - Dishonest Warranty Representation

    Purchased new Carrier A/C from Enercare in May 2021 with 10 year parts and 3 years labour warranty (as documented in contract). Now 1 year later, Enercare says it will only honour 1 year labour warranty despite written contract documents that state otherwise. Dishonest!

    Dishonest company, extremely expensive

    Long story short, rental tank that is 18years old came with the house under Direct Energy. at some point it was transferred to Enercare. Rental paid for 18 years 25.45$, makes it 5,497.2 over the years. In order to get rid of them I have to pay another 420$ now. Stay away from them. Do yourself a favor and find on homestars good company from top of the list and buy tank from them.
