    Plumbing service

Unqualified service technician. Dishonest sales tactics. Charge for unnecessary parts, don't fix problem, then try to sell expensive replacement parts. Qualified plumber repaired in 5 minutes without any parts. Put old part back on working just fine. Have also been paying for insurance coverage for years....what a waste of money

Plumbing Protection Plan and Bad Work on Hose Bib

I have paid Enercare $17-$20/month for years for the Plumbing Protection Plan. The hose bib was leaking inside my house so they can to check the leak but it took one week to get an appointment. I was assured this was a covered service. The plumber arrived and opened the wall. Assured me it was a covered service but wouldn't do the repair until we had an electrician in to move some ground wire attached to the pipe. I was charged a $99 diagnostic fee which was covered under my plan. I spent $80 on an electrician to do so. Tried to book another Enercare plumber to finish the job and the earliest appointment was a week away again. I had to escalate and speak to several people to finally get an appointment 4 days away. Like pulling teeth! The plumber came, did the repair but left the hose bib sticking out several inches from the wall with no bracket for me to mount it and no reinforcement. I was charged $99 diagnostic (again), $179 (labour) which was covered and another $271 (labour) for what I don't know as they can't seem to explain the two separate labour charges, not covered under the plan. He was at the house for 45 minutes max and I have a LOT of work to do to properly secure the pipe and fill in the gaping hole in my brick wall. After tax I paid $300 out of pocket, plus $100 for supplies to finish their shoddy work, plus $80 for an electrician, and I had to wait a week and a half to complete work that would have taken a regular plumber an hour. Absolutely atrocious customer service. When I escalated they first said the $300 was due to freezing which wasn't covered. Then they said it was because they installed a frost free pipe. I never asked for nor authorized such a pipe. Absolutely no resolution from Enercare so I'm posting a review and cancelling this Protection Plan (but locked into the contract for a year)! Beware, don't let them sell you on their plans, you'll never get the proper service you'd expect.

Service Provided by Technician - Frank L.

We had an appointment scheduled from 5-9pm. Our technician, Frank L., was on time, discussed the issue, fix the problem and installed a new thermostat. I would give Frank L. a 10/10. Profession and provided excellent customer service. Service call was covered by our Enercare maintenance plan so no cost to us.

consider it if you want to add plumber protection program

I purchased a whole home protection plan with the company, however, I am disappointed now, however, the service quality is getting worse and worse. first, I called Enercare to ask a technician to re-installed my osmosis filter with paid when I have a rent contract with them, I was told someone will contact me in 24-48 hours, no call at all ( each call took me 1-2 hours and was transferred to4- 5 different persons, I kept to repeat and repeat my issue. sometimes, the person said, " pls wait me 2-4 minutes on hold" then after 2-4 minutes, my call was transferred back to waiting for the system line again. It was very frustrating. My shower is visible huge leaking yesterday when I am using it, the leaking went down the back of the wall and drop down to my first floor. I called Enecare for sending a technician, the technician came, he did not inspect where the leaking is, he even did not touch the shower with his one finger and said" I even don't know if this shower can be fixed, this is not covered by Enercare, you need to buy a new one, " then I mentioned the sink faucet is very low pressure. the technician said" this is not covered, you need to buy new faulcet " .. this visit is even just less than10minutes . finally, I have to find a friend at night to solve the issue. well, if anything I need to
