    Maintenance for Furnace, Air Conditioning

Annual service call, the technician was polite and very proficient. He did an excellent job and fully explained how to operate the humidifier as he serviced it.

Minor frustrations, but a great product overall.

While I wasn't happy necessarily with the service from the call center (not because they were rude or anything, but because the process makes me jump through a bunch of hoops and waiting on hold), the service from the tech was straight forward and amazing.

    hot water tank replacement

The installers were amazing clean, timely, courteous, and very helpful. The person who came to assess the problem the day before installation was rude, condescending, and arrogant. Overall just generally a person if I ever had dealings with again it would be too soon. This has no reflection on the installers they were amazing.

Sent the right person to do the job

I had an electrical light problem. Called Enercare Home services under my existing electrical plan and the company dispatched Ryan to my home. He did a through out assessment of the light problem and found out the main breaker was the problem which was affecting all the plug outlets in the house. The technician contacted Hydro on my behalf to make appointment for electrical hydro disconnect in my unit to replace main breaker. Once appointment was set up to disconnect the power, Ryan was very assertive and punctual to meet hydro technicians so they could coordinate the job together. Once he replaced the main breaker, he immediately called hydro crew to come back to reconnect the job. once power restored Ryan tested everything and all electrical issues were fixed. And everything has been covered under the electrical plan from Enercare. I would definitely recommend Ryan from Enercare for his excellent professional job in assessing and fixing electrical issues.

    Service

Great, friendly service. Professionally done within the time frame allotted. The service technician was helpful, explained what she found and that the furnace was in excellent working condition.

    plumbing

the first person was a no show, said they called but they did not call, No record of it on my phone or message left. Of course they could of dialed wrong. But the girl handling service calls pretty much accused me of not being available.. NOT ACCEPTABLE. However the second booking for the next day went without a hitch and the gentleman that came was great.

Continuously get the run around for a closed account

I closed my account 6 months ago and they’ve charged me every single month since then. I’ve opened a case and talked to multiple people and they say that they’ll debit my account but yet here we are after half a year. Every time I call them now they just send me around in circles to different people and then eventually hang up. This is such a terrible company I’d never do business with them in this life of the next!

    Billed For Free Work

Enercare had a promotion for a free furnace diagnostic service call if you booked it by Jan 31, 2022. There would only be charges if anything needed to be done and after you had been provided with an written estimate and approved it. Tech showed up Jan 20 and found nothing wrong with my furnace and to call back if something does go wrong.I check my gas bill and theres a service call charge on it from Enercare. I call Enercare and the person said they will have to have Enbridge investigate it (?) and there should be a credit on my bill. He said to call my gas company in 2 weeks. Makes no sense for my gas company to investigate a charge that Enercare billed for but ok. I call my gas company and they have no idea what Enercare is talking about and said they will put in a dispute for the charge from them. I then get a call from Enercare saying they are calling about the dispute and I tell them about the free service call that was billed to me by mistake. He said he would look into it and call me back by the end of the week. He doesn't so I call him and get an email from my gas company saying the charge will be credited and one from Enercare saying the charge will be credited on my gas company account but that the will now bill me the charge directly. I speak with him and ask him why am I being billed now directly by Enercare. He says well we want to keep your gas company happy so we asked them to credit you. I reply but WHY are you now billing me. He says well the tech came and looked at your furnace. I said I told you there was a promo for a free furnace diagnostic call, did you not look into that and verify it? He says well that's your opinion, the tech came and visited and expects to be paid. I replied so you didn't do anything except tell my gas company to credit me. What was the purpose in talking to you then if you did nothing. Well this department doesn't look into billing issues you will have to open a case with them. I reply back so why did I even talk to you then if you do nothing and now I have to talk to another department and get another case number and rehash everything to them? I ask him to transfer me to billings so I can open another case. Woman I spoke to got the same info I told the previous 2 people at Enercare. She said she would escalate the case and I should get a call in a week. Well today Mar 16 is a week and no call. I call them and again rehash my story to a CSA and he says the same thing, I will escalate the case and someone will get back to you ASAP. I asked what does ASAP mean, i day, 1 week, 1 month? He says ASAP. So I am going to wait another week and see if they actually call me. I knew Enercare used to be Direct Energy and had lots of bad press. Well it seems they haven't changed. DO NOT CALL ENERCARE FOR WORK.

    Furnace repair

Needed a new vent motor for my furnace. I called Enercare at 6pm and the technician was at my home 8am the next day. He diagnosed the problem right away. As the furnace is 17 years old I was worried the part may no longer be available. He checked with the shop and sure enough they had the part. He went to pickup the part and was back in about 1 hour. He quickly installed the new part and the furnace works great again. Excellent job Enercare.
