Excellent service, fair price, personable sales rep and installer, spot on time installation and Dodd's weren't in any hurry to bank my cheque to the extent I called and queried. I have no reason to offer anything negative and quite frankly, can't think of anything at this point, two weeks after installation. I'd be confident to recommend. 10 out of 10. End result looks so much better than what we'd grown to see and accept on a daily basis.

From start to finish the work was very professional. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and polite. Very efficient from the time we met Mike for the quote to the date of the installation. Angie was very helpful arranging the installation date that was best for us. Mike the installer did a great job and cleaned up, no mess. Would recommend Dodd Door to anyone needs a new Garage Door. My friend is calling for quote just from hearing my experience.

The final product was excellent. The sales man Laurie came out, explained everything very thoroughly and even have examples in his truck of cut garage doors to show me the difference in the doors makeup and insulative properties. Installation was also excellent, the guy was very professional and clean. He took away all of the garbage and installed the door by himself quickly. Also informed me of how to maintain the door and where to lubricate. Very impressed and happy. Would recommend to anyone. The price was about 150$ higher than I would have liked to pay, but in the end i was very happy with the overall quality of their services

Dodds did an excellent job of installing our garage door over a year ago. We recently had a minor problem with the interior control panel and even though the warranty period had expired, Dodds responded. The Service Manager J.P. personally came to our residence and had the problem fixed in no time. Great garage door & great follow-up customer service!

Super efficient service! I wasn't home but my mom said the guy was nice. My garage door is fixed and it cost way less than buying and installing a new one.

The spring used to open my garage door broke, preventing the door opening under power. Dodds arrived early, quickly and efficiently replaced the spring. I am much impressed and satisfied. Great job!

My wife and I were very satisfied with our new garage door. The sales rep. showed us several options and helped us choose the right door. The guys who installed the door and the capping were friendly and very efficient at their job. Only 1 very small issue was getting a 2-3 addresses with the same door/windows that we were considering. 1st couple of addresses were single doors and different colour. The sale rep quickly corrected and we were able to see the double door and window style that we wanted. We even spoke to one of the homeowner's who happened to a repeat customer of Dodd's and they were very happy with Dodd's. That was reassuring to us. Overall, we were very happy with everything and would definitely recommend them to anyone needing a new garage door.

I purchased double car garage doors with “automatic” close garage opener in October 2017. Doors were installed in December 2017. In early February 2018, I came home after a day away from the home to find my garage door opened. I called Dodds Feb 7 advising that the opener was not functioning properly. They proceeded to tell me my $ 515 lift master did not have the capability to close automatically and I would need to purchase a different “wall button”. I voiced my displeasure and advised that I was misled about the opener. I was offered 50% off the $60 price of the wall button. I took the “deal” as I needed my garage opener to function a certain way. Fast forward early November 2018, I contacted Dodds because a long metal bar on my garage door was loose and rattling on opening and closing. I got their earliest block between 12 - 5pm on November 16th and took the day off. I knew Warranty was almost expired and wanted to get this in ASAP. Approximately 5:45, I contacted Dodds and advised them that no one came by and I did not receive a call from them. I got an apology (they were baffled why no one attended) and rescheduled the service call for November 20th between 4-5. Guess what, another no show without the benefit of a call. You would think third time would be the charm, right, NOT. I again contacted Dodds and got “I’m so sorry, I will look into this one personally” to make sure someone was dispatched next day. Again, no call and another no show. Did I follow up with Dodds after the third strike? NO. What would be the point? Anyway, my garage still rattles and yes, I may have to fork out the $$ to get another company/general contractor to fix this. To make matters worse, the second garage door (which does not have an opener) and is kept closed 95% of the time, does not open smoothly. It bumps on something on the way up and has to be manually shifted to open up fully. I was not going to make a big deal of this as the side is kept closed the majority of the time; however, I felt I had to bring up everything in my review. It would be another matter if I left my home to run errands and missed them, but, I STAYED IN MY HOME WAITING FOR THEM EVERY SINGLE TIME. I am a female homeowner and rely on reviews on homestars when I want to hire a company. This one had good reviews so I used them. I have also found a roofing company (shingles and eaves trough), wildlife control, driveway paving, window replacement, bathroom remodeling, kitchen remodel, painter, plumber, tree care, electrician and general contractor “on homestars. If they do great work, I will review; if not, I “usually” don’t bother with a review. I really felt I needed to vent with this company as I’ve never been treated with so little respect from a company. In addition to purchasing the garage doors, Additional costs include: 1. WALL BUTTON - $30 2. ELECTRICIAN COST – APPROX $350 3. GARAGE DOOR OPENER -$ 515 4. UPGRADE ON INSTALLATION HARDWARE 5. CAPPING IS ALSO EXTRA – HOWEVER, I DID NOT PURCHASE

HomeStars have sent another garage door service company because the cable came off the spool. It was repaired, but came off again after 2 weeks, repaired again and came off again after a month which the same service guy came back to fix, replacing spring, etc. 8 months later, it came off again and got fed up, called Dodds Garage Door directly for replacement of complete garage door and hardware. They custom ordered the doors, replaced the railings and all and we are totally happy as it works quietly, smoothly and service guy named Mike was very professional, very knowledgeable and cleaned up after himself. He was polite and very good at answering all our questions. Should have called them in the first place.
