    Lawn Care

Waste of time and money. A door to door sales person sold me on a service that the company didn't even provide. I paid a premium and instead got the generic run of the mill service. They don't provide refunds and don't even keep your account on hold when there's a dispute. After a couple months they just send someone to your house without letting anyone know to resume the undesirable service. I'm so turned off by this company and their lack of customer service and refund policy that I have no intention to continue business with them nor will I recommend them to anyone ever. In the future, do not pay for service that has not been rendered yet. Don't give out your credit card information either. They automatically sign you up for auto-billing and you have to go out of your way to make sure they don't. I'll be cancelling my credit card in the near future.

    summer lawn care services

Service was very shabby from the start, cancelled my contract and now want money back, just getting run-a-round from Alberta Regional Manager. Why don't companies take pride in themselves anymore?

    Lawn Care

We place an order with Dr Green early this year. They came to do the first service at the end of April. Two days after the service, our lawn started to die off. I called the customer service and they promised they will send someone to fix it. No one came to check and two weeks later they did the second services. I told the technician and asked him to fix the lawn. He took some pictures of the dying lawn and called his supervisor. Then he told me that the fertilizer from the first service actually burned the lawn. They will send some one to fix it. After that, my nightmare begins. No one came to fix the lawn, but every week they called me to ask me to pay the second service. I told the story to their representatives again and again. What they did was they told me they will take notes and send someone to fix. But NO ONE CAME. From early May to Middle July, they called me and I called them more than TEN times. No progress at all. I have to purchase new seeds and soils, trying to fix the burned patches by myself. I still received their call for marketing now, even though I asked them to close my account two months before. This is the worst service experience ever in my life.

    Lawn care

What a waste! My wife hired these guys to look after the lawn. The dandelions have never looked so healthy and plentiful. When we called to get someone to spray there was always excuses. Meanwhile they would show up to fertilize 4 times (how much fertilizer does a lawn need????). They offered to spray for grubs in the middle of the drought! The worst part, when we tried to cancel the service their reps couldn't handle that but referred to customer service who we could not get through to. Now a year later they claim that since we hadn't cancelled the service will automatically continue and we are in an argument over payments for this year.

    Full Lawn Service

After 10 years of minimum service standards met, we contacted company at start of season to complain and cancel. Accepted offer for one "free" application for our assessment of service improvement. Showed up even though account on hold pending assessment. Applied product requiring a water free period in order to be effective on the day of the Toronto floods and when forecast showing rain for next three days. Called to cancel and was instructed to pay for "free" service and call back in 7 days before cancellation would be accepted. When trying to escalate was told by customer service that no Manager available and even if there was one they wouldn't speak to us. Will certainly be advising all others to avoid this company. Blatant disregard for customers.

    Lawn care

I was called by Dr.Green in September last year and listened to their "spiel" and when they're through I told them that I would be interested and to call me in the spring. We moved in April and now in July we received an invoice for lawn care which we didn't receive. My wife called to indicate that we had moved and didn't order the service but got the story that when I was in the phone in September I had consented to the treatments verbally and now we needed to pay our bill, she asked why they didn't call prior to confirm if we were still interested and they indicated that they had but our phone was disconnected( new number) and no one had contacted us for approval. I am furious and call back, the girl on the phone says I verbally committed to a contract via recording our conversation and I am responsible to pay the bill. She also stated that we have a " contract and if we moved we should have notified them just like we notified our phone and gas companies" (reminds me of a psycho movie i once saw)I will not be paying the bill as this is Bogus.Don't get sucked into this, I am telling everyone I know so make sure that you don't get sucked in. We are also notifying the better business bureau of this scheme.

    Lawn Care

I wish I had read some of these reviews before signing up with this company. A personable salesperson showed up at my door --- I usually don't fall for these s cammers but he was SO convincing. I had 2 large fertilizer "burns" on my lawn --- he assured me it wasn't "burnt" and he could have it looking good as new in 2 weeks. Well 5 weeks later ... do I need to say how things are going?!?!? Not one bit of difference. All I get is an invoice on the door saying they "fertilized" my lawn. Ummmm .... I JUST did that ... do you see the burns??? Hugely disappointed -- and very unfortunate that I prepaid.

    Edmonton Based Flyer

Avoid Doctor Green at all costs in Edmonton, AB! The flyer said free Aeration with a package. So I called and clearly asked the rep when the aeration would be done. He said they do them in the spring and fall and I could have either. I requested the Spring. On their first visit they did not communicate before showing, like the sales rep said they would. And they only did the back lawn, completely ignoring the front. I called to complain and they sent someone out to do the front, again no e-mail ahead of time to notify me that they were coming. After a few weeks more I thought it was strange that the spring aeration still hadn't been completed so I called again. I was then told they do not do spring aerations, only fall. After a few mins on the phone the rep said it was now scheduled for June 1st. A few weeks after the 1st still not completed and called AGAIN! Somehow this rep confused me wanting the aeration done ASAP with me wanting a weed treatment done ASAP. An e-mail did get sent this time notifying me that they would be coming on the next business day. Then the next business day I got another e-mail stating that due to illness they wouldn’t be able to come, I actually have no issue with this as at least they were communicating… But then a week later the guy showed up and did the weed treatment, NO communication stating he was coming. After 10 or so days I call once again because while they did the weed treatment the aeration still hadn’t been done. PLUS there was no sign the weed treatment worked as the weeds were still leafy and green! This time I was told that they were now going to do the aeration by the end of the week, and would include a free over-seeding. They would also have the weed treatment re-applied at the correct time after the over-seeding. End of that week comes and goes, still no aeration. I call again, at this point my calls are to cancel, and the rep tells me that she “promises” the tech will be out on Monday and that he would be fired if he didn’t. She also said she would call Monday morning to confirm that the tech was scheduled to arrive. I have no interest in anyone losing their job btw… Monday morning I do get called and she confirms that I’m on the schedule. Tuesday morning the aeration is still not done. There was a heavy rainfall in Edmonton on that Monday, but not on the end of the city where I live, not even one drop of rain all day Monday where I live. I call Tuesday and am finally able to cancel. I guess the rep this time realized I’m done with them. During the calls I was offered a service at half price, a service visit for free, and a free over-seeding with the aeration to convince me not to cancel. If you get a Dr.Green Flyer think twice! It appears their Edmonton office has no interest in serving anyone, why a company would ever allow this is beyond me.

    Lawn Care

Did not order the service for 2013 and they showed up anyway. Was told that it is a continuous service from year to year and this is the furthest from the truth. If we were told that, then we would have cancelled. I saw the truck pull up and ran downstairs to stop them and to my surprise he was completely done fertilizing our lawn. Unfortunately we had fertilized it ourselves the weekend before. If you look on the invoice the advisement of having to cancel year to year is very tiny and not in plain sight. I am extremely disappointed and would advise anyone with any dealings with this company contact your local Better Business Bureau and file a complaint. Out of principle I will not pay for a service that I did not want. Very devious business practices. Also happened to our neighbours across the street and they had to stop them on two separate occasions.
