Dr. Green's services disappointed me and my neighbour. When Dr. Green first arrived in 2009, they estimated my lawn based on square footage. I reminded them that one half of my property was either the home, driveway or garden - which did not require seeding, treatment or lawn care. They acknowledged the error, indicating that Dr. Green does its estimates "from afar" using things like google maps and real estate acerage estimates. I reminded Dr. Green that this was an exploitation of the consumer. After 3 years, our lawns have never looked worse. And whenever I asked to speak to a knowledgeable lawn care professional personally over the past 3 years, the excuse from the Cambridge head office was that the service person would not be able to book a specific time. So I asked for a 2 hour range time; again, "we can't arrange for that kind of appointment". The receptionist stated that I would have to be home for 5 hours straight, either all am or all pm, and wait for the supervisor's arrival. This was after repeated attemtps and pleas to speak to someone about the condition my lawn was in - moss; 2 prolific ground weeds; no grass growing after re seeding and my watering; patches. So the rep did come by with a 48 hour email notice the next day during a 5 hour period when I was at work. S/he left the rsvp via a drop off paper as per "policy" that was all false and it was a "standard repeat" with comments and a check list that was already apparent to me. This is why I wanted to see the rep personally. This Dr. Green rep that was unable (REFUSED) to arrange a meeting with me face to face when I would be available stated (in late October) that I cut my lawn too short and didn't water it. Nonsense to both. My lawn mower was always at its highest setting and watering was done for the seedlings on a regular basis, even at the potential costs of a city fine. I followed the directions of each "checklist" Dr. Green left. Neither my neighbour nor I will renew our contract and will advise others not to as well - unless Dr. Green does what it says - improves the care of both our lawns for free in 2013 and for real. It is time to get service in which personal service is given to the client and personal care is provided to the lawn. PS: My neighbour and I recalled that we gave the personally cared for lawns to Dr. Green in better shape than after that firm had it for 3 years.
