    drain cleaning

    Booking the appointment was easy, and the technician showed up on time and wore covers on his shoes which protected my white carpet. He was professional, listened intently as I described the problems and then explained the approach he recommended. He worked quickly and was very organized, and even gave me good advice about an unrelated issue. Happily, my drains are no longer plugged!

    new water pipe

    DrainWorks have done a good job for the water pipe replacement in my house. They have done a very nice job both inside and outside the house. I will recommend their service to my friends, and thanks again for the services, well done.

    Upgraded existing water service (pipe replacement)

    Very happy with the recent work provided. We had to have a pipe replaced in our basement. They held to their quoted price and their administrative staff were very responsive and accommodating to our needs. Frank was accurate in his assessment of the work that needed to be done and completed in the time he specified. It has made an improvement to our water pressure and he was very helpful in answering any questions we had. Also, he did not try to upsell us on anything - very honest and straightforward. We have used them in the past for some minor work and after this will definitely use them again!

    drain repair par excellance

    My problem surfaced on a Saturday morning of a long weekend. Drainworks was chosen after 2 other enquiries. I felt comfortable with the upfront information I received in my call and decided to proceed with finding out what my problem was. They arrived quickly and I was very impressed with the expertise and professionalism. There was absolutely no pressure! Once I saw what the problem was (thanks to the camera) and was shown that the blockage had been cleared I knew I had to repair the problem immediately. It was scheduled for the Monday of the long weekend and they arrived on time and confirmed to me visually every step they took. The crew worked efficiently and cleaned up so that you wouldn't have known they dug a 7 foot deep hole in my front yard. Drainworks is a highly professional company providing top notch work, customer service and piece of mind going forward.

    Kitchen Drain Unclogging

    We have used Drainworks on 4-5 occasions for clogged drains and sewer lines. The staff is always prompt, courteous and provides helpful advise. They also take care to protect the work area and clean up after their work is completed.

    replace outside drains and then some

    Here's my story.... I called Drainworks because the basement drain had started to back up. No biggie but thought I'd try to catch it before it became a biggie. The person who answered the phone took my information and said they could be here in 30mins. Really? Sure enough they were here 30mins later and had a good idea of the problem and work required to get it resolved. I signed on and agreed to get started a few days later. The crew arrived at the appointed time, got set up and got to work. By 4pm the same day they had replaced both the outside drain and the basement drain, all according to contract. But what wasn't according to contract was the few extras they threw in like re-cementing the outside concrete because it might rain that night, adding a few extra feet of piping inside so all connections were secure and capping a pipe that revealed itself as they dug. Throughout all the work they consulted me at every decision point. I felt completely comfortable to make informed decisions right the way along. It was really great customer service. However, the one thing that I didn't expect was what happened at the end of all their work......I have NEVER seen work crews clean up to the extent these people did. Completely incredible. Both the basement and outside was cleaner than when they had arrived. I was so pleased given the mud and muck that they had been digging up all day long. If I told you have how well they did when they came back the next day to replace my washout drains in the front we'd be here for another hour. Needless to say it resulted in the same outcome; a completely wonderful cleanup which included digging up and putting back all my hosta plants during the work. If I hadn't been home, I'd have sworn no one had come and done the work! Fantastic. As I write this review it's raining outside. The drains are draining happily and my hostas are soaking up the rain like they never knew the difference.

    Tree Root Removal from Drain

    DrainWorks arrived promptly when my floor drains were backing up. I suspected the City tree roots but the City crew would not do work until they had gas/utility locates done (wait several hours). DrainWorks snaked out the City of Toronto tree roots, and I will get reimbursed by the City (nice!). If you have a chronic root problem, ask the City to reline your lateral to keep out roots to avoid this maintenance and worry.

    replace old drain line and trap

    old sewer drain line out in yard- with old trap system. Sewer and water backups in basement. Drainworks fixed it in a timely manner and was very professional. The guys they had doing the digging were amazing! they followed my suggestion and tied my cedars back so they were not damaged. That saved me a big headache.

    snaking out the drain

    Alex originally fixed my plugged drain problem two years ago and resolved it to my satisfaction. This time I had a routine snaking to prevent problems in future which he had recommended. He is on time, give excellent advice, and does not recommend something unless he truly believes it is going to be needed. He gives the pros and the cons of any situation. The Drainworks people are very professional and extremely accomodating.

    Plumbing

    We called DrainWorks to come and install a new faucet in the kitchen, and fix a stuck knob in the shower. A plumber came and was nice enough, but quoted the job at close to $1000 which we thought was outrageous! We sent him away but were still stuck with $69 + HST fee just for him to come in. Later we found that by checking the knob in the shower, he had actually twisted too hard and broken it completely. When we called DrainWorks to complain, they refused to shoulder any blame, initially claiming that we were wrong, and then telling us it was our fault for not watching the plumber the entire time he was in the bathroom-- and refused to refund us any of the charge. We called another plumber who completed the job very quickly for $230. We will never use DrainWorks again-- outrageously expensive and lacking in basic customer service.

    Cia, you called us on behalf of the home owner to assess a broken shower control; this was obviously broken before you called us, hence the need for the call. You agreed to pay $69+hst for a visual assessment ONLY of this broken control; so it is puzzling to read that you felt you were “still stuck” paying the $69 fee, since it was understood upfront that you would be paying it regardless, and it was in no way a surprise fee. As a result of the visual assessment, we provided a quote to address the broken shower control for $319+hst, minus the assessment fee (not the $1000 quote you claim). The home owner declined proceeding with our quote saying he would “attempt to fix it himself”. We received a call a few days later from the owner, advising that the shower control was broken and that we were now responsible to repair it at no charge, despite us never having touched it, never having taken any tools off of our truck, and the owner never going ahead with our quote. We reminded the home owner of these facts. Our recommendation proved to be the correct solution, as the other company did the proposed repair at roughly the same price, which is why it is also puzzling to read that you believe DrainWorks to be “outrageously expensive” when our quote was a mere $20 off from the one you proceeded with. Our signed invoice and documentation regarding this visual assessment and quote that followed, backs up the facts that we have stated above. Looking at our 1200+ reviews here, it is evident that DrainWorks, always provides service with the utmost transparency and integrity, day in, and day out.
