Backed up sewer pipe in basement

Truck arrived in 90 minutes. The man found the blockage, found my buried old sewage access cap, carefully opened the cap, cleared the blockage under the city street, showed me the entire sewage pipe on TV, and advised on a "small" tree root just starting to invade. All in little time and for "little" money.

    Toilet Blockage

We had an ongoing problem with an upstairs toilet that would clog very easily that had been going on for some time. We became fed up with the number of times this was happening and called Drainworks for a solution. Mike and Eric were our technicians and they quickly assessed that the problem could be right in the toilet or at the top of the drain line. The offered me the option of removing the toilet to see if that was the issue and also if that was not the problem to send a camera down the drain line. Upon removing the toilet they found a calcium like deposit that was blocking about half of the drain pipe and removed it. I still had them camera the line to make sure non of this deposit was anywhere in the pipe. They were also able to clear a sink drain that was giving me a problem. They also voluntarily changed the flapper so there wouldn't be any other issues. The service was quick, they cleaned up afterwards and hopelully everything works as it should!

    Water problem in the basement.

After a heavy rain (particularly on top of melting snow), water appeared in the basement back bedroom and kitchen. I was told by a general contractor that I should probably call first for a drain inspection and DrainWorks was recommended to me. I called them and Mike Dunn came for an inspection ($265) of the existing drain system. He showed me what could be seen of the drain and mentionned the different areas that could pose problem. He gave me an estimate which I accepted and the day after, he was there with Misha an two other workers. They showed me what they did every step of the way. Did a very good job with as little inconvenience to us as possible, explained to me the limits of what was to be expected beforehand. They did the job quickly, minimized the problems while working, and cleaned up very nicely at the end. The estimate they had given me before the work was done is what they charged me for.

    Drain replacement

For the second time, I have had an excellent experience with Drainworks and their teams of professionals. We had a very positive result the first time, 14 months ago, replacing our drains under our house, and this time, with tree roots infiltrating our outside lines, I did not hesitate to call again. Armando was quick to respond, concise in his description of the problem, and very helpful. Walter & his crew were efficient, & the work site afterwards was immaculate. Many thanks!

    Answer from pro:

At DrainWorks we understand the hassle that unplanned home repairs can cause, so we strive to be as unobtrusive as possible and leave your home in the spotless condition we find it in. Thanks again.

    Drain blockage

We just moved into our new house in November, and we had drain problems right away. When we first had water in our basement, DrainWorks sent Armando out early the next morning. He diagosed the problem right away, and gave us a temporary fix. He recommended replacing our cap & breather, and Frank came with a crew only two days later to do the job. Everyone involved was friendly, professional and knowledgable. I was highly impressed. Just three hours ago, we discovered more water in our basement. I wanted to call someone right away, so I tried Armando on his cell. Even though it was past 10 p.m., he took my call and patiently listened to my difficulties with no complaints for the late hour. He arranged for Jeremy to come out to our house within an hour (around 11:15 p.m.), and he had the problem fixed within a few minutes. He didn't even charge us. DrainWorks has come through for us every time. We would recommend them to anyone.

    Answer from pro:

**Thanks Peter** We appreciate your review. At DrainWorks there is a lifetime warranty on excavations, and as a repeat excavation customer we sent Jeremy over to inspect the situation. During his inspection he found and cleared your blockage of kitty litter and paper towel, which was not under warranty. As a form of good customer relations and as Jeremy was in your area, we did not charge you for the service. Hopefully Jeremy’s advice on what to not flush down the drains was beneficial and will help avoid blockages like this in the future. Thanks again for your review, DrainWorks is happy to have you as a satisfied customer.

    Dig for drain replacement.

After two drain backups, I put in a call to DrainWorks, whom I've used before at a different property. The response - both phone and initial service call - was really fast, and the digs (2) were efficient and clean. Cleanup was immaculate. All my options and the procedure were very clearly explained, with no pressure to have more work done than necessary. Kudos to Mat, the Walton Dig Crew, and especially to Armando for supervising the job so well.

    Answer from pro:

**Thanks Norm** We appreciate your review. At DrainWorks you never feel pressured to complete repairs, especially unnecessary repairs as our technicians do not work on commission. Thanks again.

    Leaky basement

We've had ongoing problems with a leaky basement for several years and in spite of several attempts at solving the problem it still persists when the heavy rains hit Toronto in the Spring and Fall. Lou and Jeremy investigated the problem and offered good suggestions for resolving the issue. Thanks to Lou and Jeremy and thanks to Terry Cord for conducting business in such a professional and customer-friendly manner.

    Repaired sewer drain

I am not that effusive with my praise but Armando (which includes Naz and the "digger crew") did their very best for me. Professional and efficient in every way, from initial call to settling my account, I would work with them again in a flash. My theory is that a company is the image of their CEO so in this case why not make DrainWorks the model for other organizationally challenged businesses. A little over the top maybe but that's what I think.

    Answer from pro:

**Thanks Norm** We really appreciate your review. At DrainWorks we strive to be as efficient and organized as possible. We understand that some people have worked with incompetent trades people in the past, however it is important to us to not get painted with the same brush. DrainWorks really does go above and beyond to set the standard within this industry. Thanks again for your review, we look forward to being your plumbing and drain service providers.
