    Drain clearing

    Called DrainWorks Plumbing to clear a main floor vanity sink drain that was plugged.After 45 minutes of trying to clear the drain the technician advised that the snake could not go any further and that the pipe would have to be exposed for a plumber to come and clear it by cutting open the line. I opened up the wall to expose the drain line where it connects to the stack pipe. Three weeks later I called a licensed plumber to come and try fixing the problem. I explained what the technician at DrainWorks had told me. He first tried snaking the drain line and within 10 minutes had the drain cleared. Now I've paid twice for a job that wasn't done right the first time, plus have a lot of drywall to repair. Will never use DrainWorks Plumbing again. Response from company was that all work is chargeable.

    Chris, The main floor sink has been an ongoing issue at your Mother-in-Law’s home for more than 3 years. We originally snaked this sink in 2011. Two weeks ago, you called us as it was backed up again, only to cancel as, according to you, Drano seemed to solve the issue in the interim. As snaking is a temporary solution, and in light of the fact that the home is approximately 60-70 years old with potentially original piping (as you can see in your picture), coupled with the fact that this had become a recurring issue, on our most recent visit, we advised to expose the piping in question. By doing this, a plumber could replace the pipe to ensure it was up to date, and provide you with a permanent solution. To your point of someone else clearing the line, all we can speak to is what we did; that is use the proper method and the proper snake cables. As evidenced by the multiple calls you’ve made for your Mother-in-Law’s house over the past 3 years, this would certainly appear to be an issue that you will have to revisit again, as opposed to addressing it permanently, as we suggested. The choice was certainly yours; time will tell, and if history is an indicator, this issue will re-occur.

    Exterior Drain Pipe Replacement

    Tree roots had broken into and blocked the 6 inch PVC pipe shared with my neighbour, near the city connection. Drainworks located the problem, clearly explained our options and performed the repair in an extremely prompt and professional fashion. Having had a couple of bad experiences with other Drain Service companies, I would highly recommend Drainworks.

    household drains

    drains backed up--service tech scoped and suggested replacing drains...did so quickly and left premises clean...techs were courteous and efficient-job completed quicker than expected, clean up was complete and price seemed appropriate

    new pipe from house to street

    Third time's a charm! After 2 failed appointments with other plumbers, Drain Works came, saw and conquered the problem on time with very little disruption. The workers were polite and respectful. I appreciated the attention to sealing off the area so dirt did not travel throughout the house. Thank you for a job well done.

    Replaced sewer

    The DrainWorks team were thorough and polite. They called the day before to reconfirm the appointment time and they showed up at my home right on time. Work was completed before the estimated completion time.They put blue paper medical boots on to ensure cleanliness when entering my home. Every detail of the problem and the resolution was explained fully, prior to, during and after their work. Great work by their whole team!

    Outside basement wall waterfroofing

    One foundation wall in our 120 year old home has always leaked a bit during heavy rains but in the big storm of 2013 the wall suffered major damage plus the concrete window well partially crumbled. DrainWorks had to contend with a lot of groundwater plus discovery of a fieldstone foundation below ground level. Tough job but completed to my satisfaction. Excellent communication of what was to be done as well as a heads up each time new issues arose; extra work was required but always explained and approved by me beforehand.

    clogged drainage

    One night after a huge downpour recently, our basement was partially wet with water. After just one call to Drainworks the morning after, they immediately sent 2 servicemen namely Steve and Dan to the house to diagnose the cause. They checked thoroughly every angle of the problem and gave us honest opinion. I am truly satisfied with the detailed and clean work that they did. Thanks Steve and Dan! Job well done.

    new water spigot

    Once again Chris L. from Drainworks did an excellent job, the ideas and quality craftsmanship I get from him are outstanding. If you want real professionals from the office to the trades go with Drainworks. Get them in for the estimate and sign the contract, they'll take it from there and you'll have peace of mind.

    Basement Issue

    My basement plumbing gets blocked every so often because of plumbing issues from previous house owner. Drainworks arrived on time, with advance notice so it is easier to be ready, and cleared the blockage with suggestion of changing kitchen connection which made it a lot easier to snake. Great job once again !!!!

    Clogged sink and bathtub

    We tried ourselves to unclog the sink and bathtub, without success and lots of frustration. DrainWorks responded quickly to my call. The technician fixed the problem and was done in 45 min. Definetely worth the call.
